Same as experienced by others above, for me also...

1. There seems to be no pattern to when you get bonus time for destroying things (other than a mailbox and payphone outside the bank seem to be a sure thing).

2. Sometimes you get a key for beating up gang members, but no building is indicated on the map.

Posse thugs (Gang War power) will not attack your target unless he attacks you first. This has resulted in my posse standing around a bad guy doing nothing for their whole summoning duration.

This may be what is intended as it matches the behavior of controller pets, but makes the power limited in usefulness if you do not want to be hit.
