More great info Cami! Vecters takes some major practice. I tried it for a bit and I got frustrated pretty quickly. I tried it in CS3 though not Illustrator but I figured they'd be the same or very similar right? Could just be my impatience though.

Funny thing is that pretty much all costumes I've seen for comic movies have been with the caveat of "this will look great with lighting and CGI tweaks". THIS costume looks amazing just as it is! The costume and make-up artists have totally outdone themselves. I realize it's basically a Nazi uniform modified but for the head to feel as real as it does in that bright lighting. AMAZING! I was excited for the movie before, now I can't wait anymore. I think I'm going to break into Marvel and steal the reels or harddrive or whatever they used.... Who's with me?
edit - Okay I said all that THEN noticed the Entertainment Weekly logo... So photoshop aside it's still an amazing costume! -
Psi great stuff! I love the warwolf. It's so graphical and clean! Also I love the perspective and angle on the mystical guy. I have to ask - did you draw that as we see it or did you turn it around and draw it with his head right side up? I think that's one of those brain things that I'd struggle with if I had to try to draw something like that.

Quote:Like this?hmm maybe I should make more vague references to it then

WOW Johnnykat! There is a ton of detail in these! Great stuff!

Quote:Tested and confirmed. It works that way for both Test AND Beta! I like this a million times better than the old method. Sure would have helped when I tried and tried and tried and finally gave up on a friends new comp...Orrrr.... Have the NCSoft Launcher start a fresh install, which creates those registry entries, then stop it. Then copy over piggs. Then restart the NCSoft Launcher and tell it to fix the piggs.
You know... just like I posted above.
Although... I should test it to see if it works that way.
Subjective: I was forced to use this launcher when I tried out Aion. I immediately deleted it after my trial was up for that game as it seemed superfluous. I think the updates that have been done to it definitely make it nicer to use. Especially in regards to the Live, Test, and Beta versions of the game.
I like the suggestions of server status and possibly global friends lists being added but I'm, not going to hold my breath. I do think the Weekly Strike Target should be a permanent fixture here somewhere.
Once I read (unfortunately on the forums and not in a help screen) how to force it to shut down instead of running in the background I liked it even more. So far so good. -
Airhead, I love your toon concepts and all the art that comes with them. Knitwit is another great one. Well thought out my friend!
Also the duo of Airhead and Suichiro just brings nothing but comical thoughts to mind! Bravo!
p.s. - I wave my fist at you for that link in C.R.'s thread regarding the boots! I'm a shoeaholic and spent hours reading that thread and now I want some of those boots! Now just to convice the wife that I NEED $400 boots from Australia! -
I would have to say QFT for all of the above. Very sorry for your loss. Take time out to be with friends and family. Take time for yourself more than anything. Like GQ said, we will be here when you come back.

1) That's the last time you mix my Samurai boots with my Celtic cape!
2) Dude, I told you to lay off those 'shrooms!
3) It's sad when even rock dudes can't handle the pressures.
4) That's right Atlas, I will take you down this time right guys? Uhh... guys...
5) If I don't move then they can't see me...
6) *downs another beer* Hey guys! Watch THIS! -
I vote Digital Inking. It seems there are alot of different methods and I've yet to find one that works for everything. Maybe that's the key though it there are different methods for a reason.

Will do! thanks VexXxa! We need to set him up a forum account so he can post things himself now that I think he's old enough.

This had dropped off a few pages so I totally missed Cami's tutorials! The coloring on traditional pencils was SO helpful! I have fought and fought with that on my son's drawings to the point I gave up on a few. Now I can actually go in and do some work there. Thanks Cami! Another great thread CR.
-
I've been working on coloring, as seen in a thread or two. I'm not very good and your lines intimidate me CR!
But I'll give anything a shot, I just don't promise anything good!
but check out your other thread... I did manage to make GQ's freebie a 5-way.
I have a few pieces I've done for personal practice that came from the forums and a couple people have given me permission to post them but I don't feel they have been up to snuff yet. -
I think it's close enough for my 24 hours...

I have to say I like this idea a lot because it could give some of us who would like to get into drawing/coloring/etc a chance to work on something. Good idea CR!

You said that much better than I did and in a lot less words. :-(

Ransim, you've run into the same problem I had when I decided to texturize my son's lizard guy which is the pattern is too uniform over all. Because of folds and turns in the skin which we can't see the texture should be more random. I know that sounds odd because it is a random pattern in itself. Easiest way to explain (and you may realize this and I'm rattling on for no reason) is to do a visual - make a "C" with your hand and look at your index finger's knuckles, then clench your first and look at the same areas it's very different. Yes shading helps in the drawing but not enough. What I tried to do was adjust the size of the texture and the orientation of it in relation to the area of skin. It helped but without A LOT of time it still doesn't look as good as if it had been drawn on from the beginning.
Wow that was long winded sorry. It also sounds like I didn't like and that's not it at all!!! It's a great three way (O_O) collab! I just thought I'd add my two cents of experience in... -
Gratz on the new ride! Not so gratz on the new payments.
Now you should draw stuff and have it put on the hood and doors like those cool Fast and Furious kids!
Okay I joke but I have a scion xB that I've been tempted to do just that. Then I realize I'm an old married white guy and that would just scream of "trying too hard". -
I like your method to add texture to the skin! Cool collab DD!

Thanks Znrgy! I really hope he keeps up with his drawing. I drew a lot when I was a kid and created a lot of the backgrounds for our school plays in Elementary school but really dropped it when I got my first Nintendo (darn video games ruin EVERYTHING!). Now I couldn't draw a stick figure to save my life. I'm sure all the encouragement he gets at home and now on these forums is keeping him interested.
