Okay so I mentioned posting a pic of my son's drawings. This is a piece he did and then asked me to color it. Don't laugh at either please. I just did flats on it and didn't really clean anything up.
Well after I took this pic:

He went back and added some more ninjas so I guess this could be a WIP.... He also said he'd love to have claws like this in game.
edit - Okay I don't know why it's sideways but it corrects itself when you click the thumbnail.

Justiqua was my very first female character way back when and my first scrapper, a spines/regen. I actually wrote an AE story arc about her history but haven't had the nerve to publish it as it only means anything to me. lol

I think Nojitsu did an amazing job! Thank you so much Jophiel (and the country of Chile) and of course Nojitsu. I must now actually post images to my Deviant Art page.

I just mentioned this in Camgean's thread but I wanted to say Thank You again to everyone in this part of the forums that have hosted or given out free art or free art contests.

I have been fortunate enough recently to have won two contests and been given free art from a couple people. You all really have no idea how nice that is for my son and me. My wife was diagnosed with MS this time last year, so as much as I'd like to buy art it's just not financially responsible of me right now.

My son is an aspiring artist and being able to bring him here and also show him the free items I have been fortunate enough to receive gives me a way to encourage him to continue his art. I don't have a scanner but I do work at a photo studio and have been trying in my little free time to photograph his art and plan to submit some here. For 11 years old he is doing pretty amazing stuff. I know, I know, he's my son and I'm a little biased but so what!

And please don't take this as a plea to give PowerStream free art because it's not. It is is a very sincere post. Sometimes I just feel like I don't appreciate the little things I have and this was one of them.

I'm not going to join in on this because I have been fortunate and won two contests recently. BUT I wanted to say, you guys and girls that are hosting these contests are AWESOME! It's a great way for someone like me who can't afford a commission right now to get some great art.

Very cool Eva! I really like how the thorny spines work with that costume. I didn't show you a pic of my new costume with the powers but I used the metal spikes. I did use orange in my dark powers. Orange and a tinge of red look like a lava flow when I am in full on dark toggled mode.

These are so fun! There are days I walk through the game and see characters and think, "I could totally modify that costume." This contest gives us just that opportunity.

"We've been randomly paired up, so here's my toon. I'm a photoshop noob, but I hope the screenshots are at least clear.

Her name is Darkfire Avenger, she is a natural origin Dark Melee/Shields Scrapper.

Background: Kat Leblanc was a college student, studying psychology and sociology at the Founders Falls campus of Paragon University, and very active in the local goth scene.

Nobody is quite sure exactly what came out when the Circle of Thorns briefly opened a rift to the netherworld late one night, but it was looking for a conduit to our world. It found what was, at first glance, a likely candidate: the chick all in black wearing a skull necklace. It bought into the stereotype, but much to its chagrin, the stereotype turned out to be somewhat inaccurate.

Kat found her predicament highly annoying, but when she realized that whatever was now a part of her had absolutely no control over her actions, her rebellious nature asserted itself and she used her newfound powers to punch a Hellion in the face. She commissioned a shield from one of her SCA friends, and the Darkfire Avenger was born.

Her costume is a blend of a goth style and a more traditional superhero look. Hope you have fun with it "

Great toon. Goth is always fun to make as a hero.

I don't want to change her backstory as I think it fits and I wasn't looking to make a new or "Ultimate" version of the toon. I think of this more like Kat has focused her will and has completely dominated the power inside her:

This image shows the "entity" writhing under her skin ala the vines pattern. (use your imagination people!)

This image is an overall look when she is in full on kicking a.... er arresting mode.

This is her ultimate show of control. She has "trapped" the "entity" using it's own powers against it. She even uses it in this form to protect herself!

I love the work I saw on Nojitsu's DA site so I can't wait. I'm not going to hint at what's going to be done so just wait and see. One day this thread will come back from the dead with a great piece of art in it!

'91 one was a great year to buy a classic Taclobanon?

Didn't realize we could pick more than once.... Stupid rules and things... Why can't they just make an audio tape for these things?

I find it hilarious when someone tries to hit on me in game based on my toon. That goes for all sexes. When I first played Crescent Blade I was hit on by three guys in game. Very funny.

An SG mate I play with often plays girl toons because he says (and I quote) "As a gay man it's WAY more fun to play dress up on the girls. If I wanted to dress up a guy I'd get a serious boyfriend." And all his toons have the chest slider maxed OUT. He cracks me up.

I think that's what I love about this game is the variaty of people we interact with. Though sometimes that's what I hate about this game. :-)
