    Talking Cakes!!

Well I would have your main toons on top obviously. Maybe in the traditional wedding pose. Then maybe for each layer something similar to the Halo cake above but each tier is a different section of Paragon with the top Tier being Atlas. Oh and a big ole "LEVEL UP" above you guys or a "Holy Matrimony Unlocked!"
  2. The scary thing is what is Ultra Mode going to do to that area? Although hopefully Ultra Mode addresses some of those problem areas. (doesn't hold breath but still crossing fingers)

Yeah but for some of us that remember how prominent you were in this section not so long ago are thinking this is like JFK asking for directions to the White House.

Seriously though, I'd like to see how much you get that 920 to OC. I'm planning a new comp soon (yeah yeah for the last two years I know I KNOW) and was looking at a very similar parts list. I just hope I can figure out my taxes soon enough to get a refund back. Wife's disability is throwing me way off this year. (Claim this but not that, see line 49873849B schedule 3421kfd *bang*)

Although I'm assuming your rig will handle GR fine I'm trying to convince myself to hold off until then to plop down $1500+ and enough to keep my current rig run CHV for my son.

And yes the drawback, due to the shape of the efficiency curve, is that at lower wattage will use more AC power and that extra will be converted into heat. But it's relative.

It's not like it'll generate more heat if you are only using 100 watts Vs 500 watts or cost more in electricity. Only that a more appropriate sized PSU would generate less heat and use less electricity. Of course this assumes both PSUs efficiency curves are similar relative to their output.

Sorry if I confused or panicked you, it wasn't my intention. It's like buying a cigarette boat for a lake with a 15MPH speed limit. Yes, it's a boat, it'll float and move but it'll be a waste just to bass fish with it.

Okay I haven't read the pdf or any other posts after this.

But THE Bill Z Bubba is seeking computer advice? I guess that snow here in Texas does mean hell is freezing over!

How about any animal based toon? I could see some cool tech looking animal toons from you!

Ooh ooh how a bout a clown? I love scary clowns!
  7. I like to use the compressed air in combination with a vacuum hose held near the edge of the open case which will draw the floating dust into it as opposed to all over eff and gone! Just don't let it go inside the case because if something was loose enough it could get sucked up in there! "Good bye Mr. Capacitor! Hope you weren't important!"

Oooh oooh remember short blasts with the compressed air as opposed to just holding the trigger down. The short blasts are more likely to dislodge stubborn stuck on dust bunnies! Have fun and good luck!
  8. I have to say the fastest solo toon I have ever played has been my fire/rad controller. There is an amazing guide in the Controller section that even details on where and how to solo the toon up. I'm at work or I'd link to the guide. But it has also been one of the most fun toons to solo as well.

I'd say after that is was a /regen scrapper that was easiest to solo. Though that was before WP and I don't solo much now.
  9. This may be my favorite one yet Z. I love the color combination and the invisible or extra dimensional parts to the costume. Awesome job as usual!

Also what else do you have running at the same time as the game? I have a 7600GS and if I'm running more than one thing with graphics (usually Firefox) I will get lag. That is also borrowing my bandwidth as well. I rarely crash but I also know to lower my graphics settings to what my comp can handle.

Check out the tech forums and see if some of the guides there can help you out. If not there is a sticky thread that tells you to post your problem and some information easily obtained and people there are very nice and will likely help you out. If you don't threaten them.

It's possible your crashing could just be from overheating because the comp needs a good cleaning but it could be a million other things that we don't know.

For your original question: No it is not a glitch or bug. If it's a big enough problem then maybe you might have to pass on this game. It's unfortunate but it happens. I wanted to play Final Fantasy Online when it came out so bad. Then I bought it loaded it up and my comp couldn't even run it. I was mad but in the end it's not the game's fault or the developers. they made a game for the masses. With the multitude of vendors there is no way than can make a game that will be perfect for every possible configuration. I also couldn't afford to upgrade. So I shelved the game never to be played.

a week? Maybe. I thought I moved more than that in a week but I very well may not have. Someone with more motivation than me should post a link or something!

LMAO Dumple! Nemesis is not in your computer and he is not watching you!

Seriously OP, you currently have the option to merge the servers yourself right now. Move all your toons to Freedom. Tons of people there. You can move 6 a day. You have I think until the 31st? So that's 24 toons you can move. Choose wisely my son!

As for "normal missions" vs. dev's choice vs. other things: It's about one drop per 1500 enemies per person on team, by TopDoc's math. Normal radio missions don't give you as many enemies as carefully chosen missions where you're trying to swamp yourself in baddies (looping through the Council Earth mission over and over, set to +0/x8, for instance).

If you're running the Imperious Task Force, your team is required to beat something like 400 badguys just to complete the thing, and when I've done it we usually hit around a thousand, I think. So that's a very good chance of a purple for SOMEONE on the team, and you're getting other stuff on the way.
Okay this is the information I always had. Honestly I only have one farm toon which I also use for high level TFs. Not that I made him to be a farm toon originally he just happens to be the one I can do so easiest with. I keep a council warehouse radio mish I got at 50 set to -1/x8 and he's the only hero I've gotten a purple for. He's a spines/dark that I've had forever and just happen to love the lawnmower feeling I get when running through puny Council. hehe

Thanks for clearing that up Fulmens!

Some of the high level TFs can be run in less than 2 hours, so those are still options (ITF, Kahn TF)

Your odds of getting a purple just running vanilla level 50 missions aren't very good. But you can do so if you want.
Maybe it's too early and the coffee hasn't kicked in but are you saying I'd have a better chance getting a purple by running a TF or Dev Choice AE set to normal drops than running mishes? If so, why?

To be honest the only purples I've ever gotten (3) were on regular radio mishes.
  15. Grats Pyro! Always nice to hear some good news!

But this means you have less time to spend with your awesome new comp!!!

I like bushy brows, that's because my brows look like a drag queens been at em!
LOL I'm not sure what that means but it makes me laugh!

Yeah I've noticed the eyebrows before but for whatever reason it's the only thing that bugs me about this. So I think that's a good thing right?

Oh and I just saw Sexy Jay comment on the GR pic they posted and it's an NPC so not even player costumes. They really should get you in there to help with some design work for the players!

It was the spirit of YOUR scrappers haunting you wondering why you weren't playing a SCRAPPER!!!
  18. I like that you brought in the symbols from the GR group, is that the Resistance? I need to bone up on that stuff I guess.

Anyway as always I LOVE the asymmetrical costume. The guns are cool too. My one and only nit-pick.. The eyebrows seem quite bushy.

Did you have a chance to see the GR costume that War Witch posted? I know it had a 3-D look to the neon/lighted piping that is reminiscent of your pieces.
  19. It's a lot of fun and actually pretty easy to get used to. I don't use mine (er I mean my son's...) as much as I could. Jr. was drawing up a storm yesterday but I don't think he liked anything he did so he didn't save anything.

I haven't tried the Corel Painter though. Maybe I should...

    Cool stuff!

side note - CR your uncanny ability to notice the smallest details is well.... uncanny! I had to go back 3 times to figure out where CDs even came into the picture much less Final Fantasy 2. Don't fret people! It's in there!

    Cool Stuff!
