I'd also vote Johnny but since he has immunity I wanted to share the love! Great arts everyone!
  2. Dude!! That is BAD !#@!!!!! I'm so jealous!
  3. Bindweed - I know there is obviously marker/felt tip pen used but it is interesting that on my monitor (on work's crappy laptop) some of the coloring looks like crayon. Great piece though!

U-Naught and JohnnyKat - Amazing pieces as usual!

CR - Great sidewalk art! WOW 10 feet?!?! Amazing. Obviously it's at the edge of your house. Get on the roof and take a pic straight down.

Frost - LOL I had to read it a dozen times to figure out why that "chick" was asking Hami about the weather! DOH! Sometimes I R SLO...

Another very hard month of voting! I'm going to have to have my son make an account so we can split some votes. LOL J/K Though he probably should make an account to post his own arts.. hmmm

    Good luck everyone!

Oh just saw Arctic's post - Very nice! You guys always amaze me with your talents!

edit - I'm going to have to buy a new Thesaurus just to find new creative ways of saying "AWESOME!"
  4. Pyro - I'd bet that poor lil chick is so hot from the infection it caught when those jerk Arachnos branded it's poor wittle chest!!! I think I hear PETA!!!

Toxic - As Dragonberry grew older, she became known as Dragonmelons!!!

This has been a fun theme!
  5. I use a Motorola SBG9000 (it's a cable gateway) that I have had no issues with. I can usually run the PS3, wife's laptop, neighbors computer (he's a friend) and my computer all with no problems. I'm pretty sure they have a ethernet version. And it may not be the SBG9000 anymore. I bought this one a couple of years ago.
  6. I don't recall seeing any Steven Sanchez headshots yet BUT these are great! I am especially digging the Caemgen piece. For some reason I am not getting the "Beast-from-Beauty-and-the-Beast" I sometimes get from Caem and I really like it! It may be the fact I don't see the "typical" feline mouth in this image. But I can tell ya, if that Caemgen was looking in my direction, I'd probably wet my pants.

The Fenian head shot it cool too. I'm not as big on the big eyed look though. As far as the previous pic I have to agree she looks a little over muscled. It drew my attention to it and it's really the only thing that bugs me about that pic. But if you're cool with it then it's great!

Oh and while I think the images of Alpha with the helmet off are great I agree with you and like the helmet on. They seem to really portray his strength better. When you humanize a battle suit it takes some of the shock n awe away, IMHO.

I just have to ask. Did you hit the lotto man? You have gotten a lot of great art in a fairly short time! I'm totally jealous!
  7. Juggs, you must have went to the same school I did. I'm pretty sure I learned that emote around kindergarten. :-P

    A new #1

Gratz VC! Glad I could be a part (though small it has been) of this accomplishment and group. You guys and gals are a great group to hang with!

(Raises glass) Here's to many more years on top to you all! I swear it's non-alcoholic.... mostly...

  9. I'll jump on the "Holy CARP, that's AWESOME!" band wagon!

Gratz on the great art Red!
  10. I've shared a few. He loves seeing everyone's responses (which luckily have been very helpful and nice). I definitely will post more as he does them.

And one day I swear I'll make that scanner work better.

    Scooter Art

Scoots that is so AWESOME! I love Boozy! I'm speachless! (Which if ya know me is pretty amazing) The skull swords are just too cool! We need those in game now! I also love that you showed your WIP as a animation. That is cool!

You couldn't have picked a better time for gift art. My mom has been in the hospital for a month tomorrow with some bad prognoses. I definitely needed a pick me up! Thank you again!
  12. Okay so this is a bad scan. I need to figure out how to work the darn scanner better. It doesn't help that he uses a spiral type sketch book and doesn't like tearing them out but I thought this was cool. He did this during Closed Beta so I didn't post until Open Beta was.... er... open.

Anyway He knows they aren't perfect but for a 12 year old I thought I'd come here and show his work off again.

Also this is his first attempt at drawing guns and cyborg type arms. I think he did a good job of putting enough detail in the arms. Feel free to critique, just please remember he's 12. thanks and hope you enjoy!

    Origin Powersets

And really now that I've read your responses, what it seems you are asking for are new/additional animations for current powers which would fit with a specific origin. and Ad Astra hit on that really well. It is a matter of deciding if there is enough demand vs the time it takes for BABs and his crew (does it count as a crew yet?) to put on the front burner.
  15. I love that Statesman is in the "handsup" emote pose! lol Great entry Scoots!

And Bubba that's close enough to fire for my vote! Now "Fire it up! Fire it up!"
  16. Pryo you will enjoy your purchase! Like everyone said keep shooting and you will see things improve as you go. I work in a commercial studio where we shoot mostly bedding and home furnishings for major companies. So I haven't looked at SLRs in quite some time. But I know Canon is the preferred brand for most of our photographers that shoot on the side.

Ironically our oldest photographer did exactly like Dark said and went and bought himself a really good point and shoot for his vacation trips and what not. He was very surprised at the quality and control he was able to get. This was after spending $5000 on a Canon 10D just the year or so before which was only 6.3megs. His point and shoot was 10 megs and only a few hundred bucks. lol

I know you've bought your SLR already but this may be a note for others looking to start out. One thing about buying point and shoot as a "newb" is it gives them the chance to test out if this is a hobby they REALLY want to do. I did and to be honest... I don't lol. I barely use my point and shoot.

I had a nice film SLR about 10 years ago and let me tell you the salty ocean air on a cruise was not kind to it at all. It ended up dying on me right afterwards and when I went to get it repaired they said it was rusted inside. LOL.

Also just as anecdotal conversation, our studio cameras run in the neighborhood of $20,000 to $80,000 depending on megs... Our largest is a 60meg camera... So this can become an expensive hobby fast! lol

Viv - great pics. Very good eye!

Edit - Almost forgot. Someone mentioned manual vs automatic to learn the camera's functions. Most camera still have a manual function so you can still learn how to do things the "old fashioned" way but with a new tech twist. Usually it's pushing buttons instead of turning knobs. Ya dang kids and yer fancy toys! :-P

Bubba, For your final image you should totally take this outside and set Matchstick's head on fire for real! lol I'm cracking up just thinking about it. And I'm a pyromaniac so you'd get my vote for sure!

    2) JohnnyKat
    3) Bubbawheat

Honestly this was the hardest one to pick yet. I think everyone's piece hit the theme really well!
  19. J-Kat, I love that Alice got hit with Vengeance too! LOL

Everyone's pieces are great this month. I'm sad to see so many had to drop but it is still going to be a difficult vote!

First off, if you somehow missed it, check out Swanzies Adventures in Color thread (page 8) - He, as usual, did an amazing job for me coloring Clap-san's lines!! I'm always amazed at how seamlessly he slips his colors into whichever style of art he is working with to make great new art without losing the flavor of the original...

Secondly, new stuff from Jirogam - He put his own spin on my characters, taking some liberties with stuff like the size of shoulder pads and such, but I think the results are pretty darn cool...

These look cool. It looks like they have the Techno Virus from the X-universe... Or even a little WarHammer 40K twist. Cool new twist on these toons though!
  23. Wow Shia! I was going to comment on your first entry and how much I loved it then the second pops up! OMG. While I think the first one screams it's connection to COH, I can't help but love the second. Snot only do you have to choose which one to enter but I have to know I don't get to choose both! Awesome stuff.

And Scoots I love your Reclusawocky!
  24. Well I got it right away Tartyrsause. I like it! I've always enjoyed seeing Alice turned darker like McGee's version.
