1. You know when you're hanging out in AE feeling like dog doo since no one will invite you to team and there's this dude floating over everyone having sweeping waves of healing everyone +263 points, and about every few seconds too...what is that?
Empathy for controllers/defenders? I read up at the Paragon wiki and wasn't finding a good fit for it.
Yes, I want to be a showoff healer.
2. Since I do spend some time hanging out in AE feeling like dog doo since no one will invite me to team, I was wondering if it was because Liberty has a light load. Am I thinking right?
What's the busy one? Wasn't Champion the first made? I think there were three originally. -
Quote:That is really good info. Redraw irritates me. And the sword sound when my tank pulls his baseball bat...oh, that's another discussion. But I have a 50 kin/arch def. Although I could solo/team just fine, the redraw because of switching back and forth from my attacks and kin powers got very old after a while to me.
Quote:Where did you get the idea that /Dark is knockback heavy? There's one power that causes knockback (Torrent) and that's very skippable.
And everyone else, great advice. I looked up the powers for the sets on the paragon wiki and I swore that dark et al had two kb.
I hadn't thought of ice. Ice is cool.
Thanks everybody. -
Though as a blaster who recently has started enjoying scrapping, I've finally stepped up to the plate, faced my fear about the responsibility of being a defender, and am going to make one.
I'll either be an empath or kenetics. I'm not really asking for advice on that as neither is a mistake, but a personal preference, a role choice.
As a scrapper, and I know tankers feel the same, I abhor knockback. I hate my own knockback so much as a MA scrapper I'm tempted to take my Crane Kick off the bar.
So, need a secondary which is effective, mostly assisting but not castrated as far as self defence goes, and meshes will with my primary choices.
Looks like Electric, Radiation, and Trick Arrow have little or no kb. Energy is a kb machine. Dark and Psycic look too kb heavy...ignoring too many powers = getting goofy pool powers.
And as far as pools, I'm cool.
I've read the guides, but no one seems to compare the secondaries with regard to melee politeness. I'm sure none are bad choices except energy and dark.
Thanks in advance. -

Hey, you are just the man I need to thank, due to your MA guide.
I've always gotten hasten in the past. I need to here, but I'm entering that area where everything opens at once. The Inv stuff gets good, and the MA does start to slow.
I haven't thought about PvP. Just assuming I'd get slaughtered. This was a concept mostly, and while I never intended it to be the best scrapper possible, I want it to be a strong and respectable MA/Inv.
Stealth is gone. I got it so I could plod back home from missions since I didn't have any travel powers yet.
I can see swapping TK for CAK, but TK would be a filler at that point. I still...is it bash? The punch that everyone starts with...while I'm waiting for TK, CK, or AS to reload.
I do plan on getting fighting, mostly for weave. But I'll wait until some of the other dead spots. I consider core Inv powers to be ASAP now that I have my fly.
Thanks again for the guide, and the advice today. I'll see what else I can work out by swapping some stuff. I feel that I'm at the crux of possibly messing up and have to do damage control for the next 10 levs. Like I did for my blaster, before respec. -
Quote:Thanks. That's a lot to think about. I didn't realize swift functioned off the ground.Move Build Up to level 22, take Health at level 16, and Stamina at 20. That should help you out a little bit, but not too much.
Move either Weave (my preferred) or Unstoppable back. Take Taunt in that place. Or, you could move the entire Fighting pool back, and get Taunt at level 12.
I've been told good things about Weave, but that Unstoppable was an ASAP, though I do wonder about its crash.
I think you might be right on the buildup ->, Health <-, to get Stamina at 20. I just have build up ingrained in me because I tend to play blasters though I do fret about end.
I played CoH for a few months three years ago and only a trial NCsoft sent me got me hooked again. -
I planned this all out after reading about how taunt doesn't matter. Then I played some boss farms with a different character and our tank was great.
I need taunt. Where do I put it?

First time posting. Finally hit a problem I couldn't find info on.
Here's my toon.
1 resist phys damage
1 T-kick
2 S-kick
4 Temp Inv
6 Dull Pain
8 Crane Kick
10 Stealth [will probably respec out of this later]
12 Air Sup
14 Fly
------This is where we are now
16 Unyeilding'
18 Focus Chi [I know I'm taking it late, but theres a dead spot here.]
20 Hurdle
22 Health
24 Stamina
26 Dragon's Tail
28 Invincibility
I've got no other plans, but know I want Eagle Claw, Tough Hide, and obviously Unstoppable. I've left out Hasten, but think Focus Chi [buildup] is more important to get early. I also wouldn't mind chucking Recall Friend in there.
Any comments, suggestions on 16+.
Thanks much and thanks for all the posting you guys did in the past I've read, choosing a MA/INV though there isn't any info directed at it specifically. -
Ok, does this look like it would have any conflicts or syntax errors.

As I'm directionally illiterate in games, I open map and then click on what I need to nav to, and then close map.
Is there a way I can hit a putton, say numpad5, and have the nav target, say, Atlas?
(Haven't written any binds yet, and this probably kept me from buying the Logitec G15 keyboard, which is just a macro program and extra keys)
OH, and if I make a bind by typing it in, does it save it in a bind file that is automatically loaded for that hero, or do I have to load that file everytime I Log in (disconnected from map server much?)?
Thanks
