No Eagle's Claw or Crane Kick?
I really can't see you being happy with this build.
My MA advice = Take Thunder, Storm, Crane, Dragon, and Eagle. Those are core. You always want the first two attacks for when mezzed.
I don't know enough about Regen to comment, though I do have a BS/Regen who is very fun. -
Quote:I didn't know this until I got a Warshade of my own, but everyone's build is stupid and they're stupid but mostly I'm stupid and my build is stupid because not only did I choose the wrong stuff, or at least in the wrong order, but I slotted wrong and my mom is ugly.That being said, I have a tri-form Warshade and a Triform PB that I am leveling up on Champion. And I bet the power picks and slotting I am choosing for these would make certain people spin in their graves (even if they are still alive).
The Kheldian people are a little tightly wound.
I should skip Nova at six and watch their heads explode.
Quote:I keep receiving -rep for "Doesn't love Champions." Explain that one to me.
I got negative rep because I cared about rep. I can understand that. -
The more I look at them. The more I think build 3, but only up to 30, looks good.
One and two both remove aim, I'm not sure about that. And the reason I didn't include the Ice Armor was mostly based on what it looks like. It wouldn't fit my concept...which I hate to admit is a tiny blue fairy woman (who has to wait until 20 to get her wings).
Changes to 3 would be to put Blizzard at 32 and possibly drop Phase Shift altogether. I've never seen anyone take it, though it seems like a good complement to Hibernate.
Build 1 is good, but how soon would I be able to slot this +stealth IO?
My thought, sans +stealth IO, would be to lose Aim from Build 3, putting stealth in there, then scoot Invisibility down, lose Phase Shift, put Blizzard at 32, and in the blank 30, maybe put Aim in there. ... But then I'll take Ice Storm at 35...
Four was my primary-centric build. Hmm.
Oh and most of this was based on your guide, Cyclone Jack's, and Red Tomax's City of Data. -
That's cool. No biggie.
But for the record, Dragon's Tail is a near ASAP in my book. -
I was just changing my sig and I noticed that I had negative rep that said, "No Dragon Tail, Fail."
Well, being a MA scrap kind of guy, I'd never suggest that and when I checked the thread all I had said was that i had a fifty and might be able to help but don't have mid's at work.
Can I get this removed? Or can the original poster, if I knew who it was?
Not a biggie, but I only have a few rep things. -
I've got an ice blaster concept I'm trying to make. She has to be able to fly and I'd prefer that stealth be in the mix somewhere.
I've added the ASAP or partial ASAP powers into the build on or about the first chance they area available, but, even with me leaving out useful powers, I still feel I'm pushing things back too far.
Rather than post four mids here, I did a screencap of a spreadsheet I've been staring at trying to figure what's good and what's bad about each one.
Any thanks is appreciated as I have never done an ice anything.
I figure none is truly wrong if I slot it right, but I'm looking for advice. -
Quote:Bottlenecking them, pulling, or making them come around a corner into an ambush aren't valid strategies? I think they are. Maybe I'm wrong.I doubt that is needed. The simple AoE carnage that AR puts out is all you need vs. all but the AVs. The AVs drop very fast to 6+ blasters in any case.
And, no sarcasm, I would love to see an AV killed by 6+ AR blasters. Maybe let some fire in on it.
And the more I think of it, I'd love to see a full 8 MA scrapper team. Just not dressed like power rangers. -
Quote:^^That.Then report the post, write that in the comment, and let the mods decide. Whineposting about it in the thread when there's already an ongoing discussion just makes you sound whiny.
Also, while I like to ToT, when the zombies come up, forget it. I'm leaving the zone. I'm sick of that crap. Also not doing a banner on a toon that already did it. -
-
Quote:My thought was lack of control. Though that might not be as valid a concern as I thought it would be. Planned positioning and taking it slow would help.Why would it be a "trainwreck"? My ITF run that had 6/8 or 7/8 AR Blasters absolutely destroyed everything. Of course, having three AR/MM probably helped in that regard.
All controller team would be a hoot to watch. Hard on the graphics card. -
-
I've been doing a low 30's ToT team in Bricks the last week and we don't tend to die. Three of us are fairly regular but otherwise it's a pug. That said, I don't knock as I'm too squishy. I tend to get 7ish blocks of xp each night. Never leveling more than once a night. We tend to be an 8 person team, but I really prefer around four.
That said...
I won't ToT in Atlas. I died 10+ times at the same door with a team that should have been good. A level 4 tank gets slaughtered by the level 9s that come out the door and we can't run fast enough to escape the spirit one-shotting us. -
Quote:No, it's not an object.Would a texture map on a non-animated polygon count as an inanimate object?
Let's just not turn this into a discussion of how I don't put nearly enough clothes on my female toons. Though, geez, I see people going with the eden/bikini 3 often. It's not really creative either. At least give them Enforcer 2 chest detail or something. -
Quote:I was thinking the same, but they were saying face, not person.Sorry. I don't mean to turn this into a political discussion, but I do feel it necessary to point out that the proper "politically correct" term is "Asian". Oriental should only be used in reference to inanimate objects. Not people. It is very offensive when used that way.
Be safe, use Asian for everything. The oriental vase won't get upset. -
I've been wanting for a while to make an all Assault Rifle Trainwreck...I mean Team.
All martial art would be neat...but odd.
All spines would be *******. -
Quote:I just can't understand that, though I'll take your word on it. I'm used to AR blasters and my MA/Inv scrapper, both of which, if you don't run out of endurance, you're not fighting hard enough*. Combine three is always into a blue.I've said it once and I'll say it again: you took Fitness too early.
Thanks again.
*actually my AR/Dev has no end problems but also never uses hasten unless we're all going to die anyway. -
First, thanks Umbral for taking the time to help me with this.
Here's a build I threw together quickly based on what you said and also my biting the bullet and getting SS rather than another travel power so I save a power early on.
I indicate what pool I'm buying into next to the first choice only.
1 Strike
1 Fast Healing
2 Slash
4 Quick Recovery
6 Reconstruction
8 Hurdle -- Health Pool
10 Dull Pain
12 Hasten -- Speed Pool
14 Super Speed
16 Integration
18 Focus
20 Health
22 Boxing -- Fighting Pool
24 Tough
26 Eviscerate
28 Instant Healing
30 Stamina
32 Shockwave
35 Weave
38 Moment of Glory
41 Focused Acc -- Body Mastery Pool
44 Physical Perfection
47 Recall Friend -- Teleport Pool
49 Teleport
The last two are just personal choices. I never had tp before my warshade and I find it a perfectly reasonable travel power. Though flight in nova form is what I use after my endurance is wiped out.
Oh, and is LotG's benefits only active if Weave is toggled on? -
Quote:I was recently ripped a new one because I like hover for a blaster in zombie outbreaks. Anything can happen.But... but... Why can't I call you a moron if it looks like you are one? That's not fair!
Quote:To me, it looks like you took Fitness too early (you've got barely any endurance costs so QR is gonna run you fine), and you didn't take Fighting. Otherwise it looks fine, though I'd probably delay Resilience until later as well. Like, level 49 later. Resilience sucks.
The reason I didn't include the fighting pool is because, while Boxing gets an 88% taken rate, Tough drops to 50% and Weave is 19%.
One thing I'm curious about, if a claws scrapper takes Air Sup, is there redraw on the claws?
Another thing that nags at me with my build is I Really prefer to have Flight And Super Speed. Hasten is definitely going to be taken, so adding SS is only one more power taken up. I think CJ is overhyped, but it beats slotting Hurdle to get good jump and costs nothing end wise. Just...I don't like SJ. Flight rocks. I'm not racing to the mish. If I was, I'd use my mish door tp. With flight, if you have a mile to go, you can make it to the fridge and back. -
I just rolled a Claw/Regen and did a little analysis of the builds which have been posted lately. Some are as old as i6, so there might be changes I don't know about.
I do this because I'm ignorant of this stuff, so dont' think I'm an authority.
Screencap of main sheet, click thumbnail for full size.
Note: I just noticed that Umbral's data is totally screwed as to what level he took stuff at, unless he got in line for picking at level two around 10 times. Don't know how I messed that up.
And here is what I gleaned off it, plus some things that I have a bias toward.
Any critique would be gladly accepted, as long as you don't call me a moron.
01 => Fast Healing
01 => Strike
02 => Slash
04 => Reconstruction
06 => Quick Recovery
08 => Hasten
10 => Dull Pain
12 => Combat Jumping

16 => Integration
18 => Focus
20 => Follow Up
22 => Swift
24 => Health

Downloaded 6 something megs then around 3 gigs for me yesterday afternoon. They fixed something. It happens.

Since the Halloween days started you can find me and others in Bricks Trick or Treating around 8pm-midnight Central time. There are usually only two or three teams running and you may have to just be lead and collect the four people broadcasting LFT.
I have a 31 [with only 3 blocks to 32...Full Auto FTW...] who levels about every night. And even a good team of four can off the purple street spawns in seconds.
ToT + Trip mines + M-30 grenades + scrapper + defender = Bad Craziness. -
Quote:I second that. Heaven forbid I try to learn about Warshades around here without being verbally abused. Last week I was flamed because I like Hover on a blaster during zombie outbreaks.I believe they are the most unappealing forums I have ever been a part of.
And I'm aware you might have been talking about the clunkiness, but what makes me not want to post is the frenzied reactions to my ignorance, which is interpreted as stupidity. -
I've seen it too. Not sure what the deal is.
Though, if not attacking, sometimes a walk turns into a slow run. Try following a street-walking NPC or sometimes the Freedom Corps in Atlas do this. -
Quote:I have been. It was the stupidest TF CF with the most mentally challenged f-ups. Multiple poor impulse control blasters who would draw aggro and faceplant at your feet.I've never been on a 8 person PuG, that couldn't beat Romulus's regen in the first encounter. What's that like? Sounds kinda depressing. Where they not slotted up?
The horror...the horror...
