  1. Everyone already said most of what I'd respond, but there is one thing:

Are you in the right zone? A 30 tank should not be in Atlas or SC shouting LFT. Sometimes I'll ask if they want to join my 15 or 25 team, but to them it means a loss of powers, so I often don't bother. Go to RWZ [and exemplar until you're 35] or get sidekicked in Talos. I really don't know where the correct zone for 30 is.

I'll agree that I'd rather have a controller than a tank. Tanks don't deal much damage and if I can get some aggro mitigation by lockdown, it makes it easier on me.

That said, 90% of the time I made my own team. If I shout LFT, I'm going to have other stuff planned like fretting around WW. Blind invites I always turn down. I have had horrible luck with them. I also turn down 90% of invites where they ask me to join their team. Granted, until recently I only ran radio mish teams, but I'm in a good SG now and I'm paying attention to the channels. My old SG was only farming, and I find it boring and feel I've missed some of the content by going up in levelling too fast.

Lastly, the name. This was mentioned before. A name is very important when a person is searching for players. I've had great luck with odd names like Coconut Infinity [my wp/elec tank] and Candyjet [ill/storm controller]. Anything that has illusions to curse words or leet speak, I won't tend to invite them. I fear their playstyle is like their naming. You can hit the random button for your costume, but if you have a horrible name, you get skipped.

Yeah, my solution is form your own team. Unfortunately, I'm not confident in my abilities to lead a TF team.

And for heaven sake, when teamed, don't be the "fast tank." I'll give you one star and never team with you again.

The inspirations? The green ones with the plus and the ones with the sleeping guy and the arrow?

Yeah, I read it, though it's pointless.

Did the devs already set up a system where inf can convert to prestige? Is there already a fixed rate? Was this rate also in place when the CoH economy was much less inflated?

Do the devs consider it being hard to get prestige important?

Prestige is time spent playing. What inf used to be.
  4. At least you bought two things at once. I never could figure out how.

But I love me some NCsoft, don't think I'm bashing. I have all the packs, except the 30 day raptor pack, what's with that anyway.
  5. If you get an 18 bidding, 0 for sale, yes, it sells fast. But in the 20s, there are a considerable amount of IOs, but the larger majority suck.

I'm still making most of my money crafting in the 50s. Though my lev 25 fire/ice blaster is really fun to play, it's not been profitable. I doubt I'll break even on the sets I loaded her with.

Turning off xp serves a function, you can stay at a specific level for some reason. I have several toons with xp off so I can harvest the very rare [not rare, but not pentiful] lower level IOs.

Turning off inf doesn't make much sense. If you hate money, go to WW and bid your full amount on an inspiration. Delete it or use it. There, you're broke.
  7. Moved several to Freedom and will move the rest on Liberty over to Virtue as my Freedom slots are full.

And for the haters, if you visit Freedom or Virtue, try other zones besides Atlas, ok? And if you hate the farming broadcasts on Perigrine that starts up later in the night on Freedom, go to Perigrine 2, there's always a second instance when the PL craziness is going on.

Or, if you're just full of hate, there ya go.

I always thought it was a myth that there were so many. You don't see them in normal mission play. I guess the Chinese farmers behind all the spam [they never run out of inf] have to have armies of them. And yes, I've turned my "email" off, but I think it's still on on my new toons.

Edited to add: Wow, and I didn't think, even with the CoHtitan data...the gold farmers aren't even running herostats either.

Any new toon of mine must always log in WW. I have the pocket-d and mission door, but WW gets me home. In fact, I call Wentworth's home. SC then Talos. I can't spend much time in Atlas, and what's the deal with there being one in Kings Row. KR sucks.

    PI needs one.
  10. Cool, thanks.

Didn't expect controller to be higher than Tank.
  11. I have searched and cannot find. And while this is probably just trivia, what I want to know is What is the most popular AT on City of Heroes?

Not getting into specifics of power choices, just the archetypes.

I know the information has to be here already. I suspect that Scrappers and Blasters are most popular, followed by Tanks and Controllers, just from what I've seen. But the circles I run in aren't the only ones around. I've never hung with the 50s.

    Thanks for any data/thoughts.

    How many uses per 10k?
  14. I'm tough.

For some reason "tuff" is looking like "toh" today.
  15. Elec/Mental sounds pretty cool.

    [that's it, no advice]
  16. I'm nowhere near this level at all but if a person did want to have more than 2b liquid, are there any items that can be bid on which absolutely cannot exist?
  17. I'd vote for "Midlevel Crisis Blue" and "Midlevel Crisis Red" for channel names.

My global is Betty Gunbot. In the SG I have Betty Forever [38 AR/Dev], Ink Girl [50 MA/Inv, just to funnel enh to my others/storage unit], Saltier [my main MLC toon, 25 fire/ice blaster], Candyjet [38 ill/storm controller, my Posi stealther. PA is great to let me click a glowy next to baddies], and born yesterday is 7xVanilla [15 AR/Energy blaster, intended to be a ghost, but has bad end problems. invis, grant invis, recall friend + all ranged below 15].

    I think I haven't locked Candyjet yet.

Edited to add: not all ranged, I didn't pick up snipe. It's horrible for pulls imo because of the kb.

    WW tp ftw
  19. Had the problem, fixed the problem.

There is a cookie from City of Heroes that is not called City of Heroes, or is not in the normal placement for such things. Find it and delete it.

It drove me crazy for over a month, I stayed logged out since logging in would have me logged out within a minute or two.

    Besides that, couldnt' tell you.

    Also, Cooliris = Piclens.
  20. Ninja Run is the power to buy. Who cares about costumes, though MA does have some good pieces. My lev 37 [or 39?] with hurdle and sprint slotted for jump has a 63 mph jump. It is a travel power that grows. [I think I'm remembering correctly. All other toons in that range usually have SS.]

Mission Door TP and Pocket D TP are also good for getting around.

    Science is my least used.

I bought them all, regret none.

This is how you got the Hammer temp power recipe, if you were wondering, Organica.

    Whoa.....

Let's please go from a person telling how people said bad things about them to flaming servers, etc.

Elec/Elec is fine. Those guys were dicks.

Now, go back to telling everyone how worthless my server is, hypocrites.
