    Oh.

    Leader or anyone?

    Broken Graphics.

I know on my newish card [9600 GSO] the drivers I was told to download were from Microsoft and not from Nvidia.

However, from some reason the sinister shoulders float 8 inches behind my female toon. That said, I asked a fellow in outbreak if he saw it this way and he did, so I dunno. I didn't have this problem with my mb graphics card, but that did horrible things with water reflections.
  4. /8 works when you are alone. You get spawns as big as an 8 person team would. But, when you are on a team, you revert back to just one.

So, 8 people at /8 don't get the spawn for a 64 team, which would totally rock. Woooo!

Your +4 does stick when you lead a team. So, watch out if you're pugging or something and end up adopting leadership, you can accidentally teamwipe them asap. Yeah, I know about that.

    paypal

Paypal can use a credit card or go straight to your bank account. Paypal makes it easier to pay since you don't have to fill out everything for a new site you're buying from and also provides a sense of security that you aren't giving your card info to another site, which might be some cheesy fly-by-night place.

Hand a friend/mom the cash and have them buy it for you.

    Recipes

Another thing about IOs. Both common non-set IOs and IOs in sets say "This cannot be combined with blah blah blah." For the common, that means you can't merge two like you do with your SOs et al. But, and it's a big but, with set pieces, you can't have two, say, Entropic Dam/Acc on the same power.

    Now, making crap.
    1. Find a recipe you like and buy it.
    2. Buy all the salvage you need to make it.
    3. Go to a crafting table like in the universities or your SG base.
    4. Filter out unowned and recipes without all salvage. You should see only the one you bought. Unless you have some other recipe that uses some of the salvage.
    5. craft.
  7. I can't hear you I ignored you long ago.

  9. Cinder Volta is my tank I'll be doing Tanker Tuesday with on Champion. She's 18 now, but I have her second build if someone feels I've skipped something important of catastrophic consequences.

I don't think I got the budget too high. But cheaper is preferable, but tougher is best. I wanna be able to walk away from a dozen enemies and go make a sandwich and come back to a full green bar.

The best way I've found to search for builds in the forum is to take two words that come up only in these powersets. Like "dragonfly tolerance." Builds are specialized. Not everything works for everybody's play style.
  12. That's a pretty wide open request.

If memory serves, a weakenss is massive end usage. Otherwise, just slot it on up and you'll rock socks.

Others will obviously be more informative than me.

ETA: just slotting up Res in Dark Embrace, Murky Cloud, and Obsidian Sheild, all available by level six, you get around 50% resistance to everything. Negative is 63% and Psionic is 79%. Energy and Toxic are in the low 30s.

Your IO slotting, you could go for whatever type bonus you want. Rech wouldn't be a mistake, or getting more def or res. Your choice. [I think.]

Gumby's got some good advice. I'd like to add some.

You can't stack Stealth and Cloak, and Invisibility is useless, so I'd suggest picking up a +stealth IO and drop it in Sprint. Cloak is better than Stealth and doesn't waste a pool, so get it. The IO and Cloak stack and you can time bomb and lay trip mines at the feet of the enemy.

I usually skip Sniper Rifle and Ignite, but if I was pure solo, I would take them both. Though bear in mind that dropping one common Range IO into Slug makes it have the range [within a few %] of Sniper. Ignite and Caltrops would allow you to dish the hurt when pulling around corners.

People might tell you good things about beanbag and taser stacking. Uh, I've never used them.

Even though I suggest a stealth setup that doesn't require Super Speed, take it. Backing up is your friend. As is Combat Jumping with Hurdle.

Flame Thrower looks like it's not doing good damage. It's got DOT. It's good. Spam it, Buckshot, and Full auto. You'll need endred enh. A bucket full.

I'd go for Recharge when slotting IO sets. You tend to pick up some regen doing that too. Just because Entropics stop at 35 doesn't make them ghetto. Unfortunately Posi and Entropics both give the 6.25 so don't go over 5.

Another nice thing about Entropics is the heal proc.

Force Feedback has a chance of recharge. Don't fret because it's knockback. Heck, you might want to slot some knockback for mitigation. I think I would, that and range, if I was going to solo. That'd require frankenslotting possibly.

I know a lot of people really dig the Thunderstrike. But I'll preach Entropics and Posi until the cows come home. Devistation, which I'm not too fond of, will give you 12% regen for two.

I'd also do some teaming to do bank mish's to get the rez. Log in WW to get the tp.

And, you probably already know this, if you're ghosting a mission and you fall down the stairs and stub your toe, 10 second. Wait ten before moving on or they'll see you.

And make your character pure white and keep sprint on all the time, it looks cool with the Stealth IO.
  14. While we're on the subject, what would I need to do to make Mids portable, like on a flash drive?

It writes a directory called "Hero and Villain Data" to My Documents which is a little questionable when run, but just for a short while, yeah, during breaks, at work.

What I've done as a work around is mount the drive [a truecrypt volume] as S at both home and work and I've installed it in both locations, but on the same drive, so that it should work every time.

I've changed the default file path and deleted that Hero & Villain Data directory. Is there anything else it's writing, like, maybe to the registry?

    Can it be made portable?
  15. I suspected they did, or that AE is so different than the normal game that it's not possible. Hmm.

You got a link to the announcement for that?
  16. There are sometimes anomalies.

I tried naming a toon one that I had of a different AT on a different server that had been deleted. First attempt at naming it got me a no go. Tried it again seconds later and it took it.

Cloud on the server's crystal ball or something.

    Probably never happen again.

No, it does not. It looks like a spastic version of Gungrave mixed with a cheerleader.

I had John Woo thoughts. I get flaccid Looney Toons.

    [but I'll make a FF/DP defender soon]
  18. When I was studying under a guru in India, he gave me some advice I'll never forget.

    Always...no...Never make a /Energy tanker.

I'm really glad we had a powerful team when I fell and aggroed all those Lost downstairs.
  20. Chazz, you are not alone in knowing that /ice is killer. Shiver is just ridiculous and should be nerfed [shhh].

    fire/ice ftw

    Good Job.

I suggest changing out your levelling toon's sets every five levels. It's worked for me getting rid of cash.

Or start your own SG with nothing but inf.

After I think 3 talk to contacts you get the mission to get Hero 1's letter. After finishing and talking to the rep again you get the message that capes are now available at the tailor. You choose from a long list of patterns and you can have several styles and brooches to pick from. (NOTE - One caveat is that you have to do a small defeat all for the tailor before they will open up your 2nd costume slot at 20 but doesn't stop you from choosing a cape on your first costume.)
There is now another mish after the hovering hero. Rikti "palace." I believe it can be ghosted, but it's so small it's not a big deal.

    Edited to add:
And as for extra costume slots, you can get a quick one by picking up the four costume parts: Lord R and...mental block...hero fellow...his mask, Back Alley gloves and Hamidon costume. Take the green line to Croa and find the witch hanging out near the station. Give them to her and you unlocked it. You can do it at level 1 if you wanted.
  23. 1. You unlock all capes except for special ones like the Valkyrie, etc. There are probably around 30 or so.

    2. If you put the wrong enh in, throw it away. Easy. If you mean you put too many slots in a power, there is your second build or a respec. Please, don't pay for one. There are always people running the rather fun respec mission. You need to be 24+, but there is no slotting mistake you can make that you can't survive until 24 with it. Or, if there is, I don't wanna see it. [or maybe I do]

When I screw up mildly, I just use my second build unless I've really spent some cash on the first build, then I cry. I have a fairly poorly built controller with a level 15 Unbound Leap +Stealth in her that I can't bear to abandon that first build since I spent LOTG7.5 money on that thing.

Brilliant. I am from freedom and my favorite Tank ever, Coconut Infinity, WP/EM, is there.

    Woot.

Wait...this is the tanker forum and I've never seen that.

Edited to add: Except the one tomorrow.
  25. Had good tanky fun last night.

Are the transfers still in place? I know they were supposed to end 2/28 but people on the forums are still talking like they are there...?

I, personally, would prefer for TT on Champion to be more than just a once a month thing.
