  1. First off, I do not have access to Mids so I won't be able to post a build. I won't even get to play this combo until I get back from Iraq. What I'm looking for are people that have great experiences with either or both (firsthand or witnessing it in action makes no difference). I'm going to list my overall ideas for both builds. Positive criticism is appreciated.

For Traps: I would end up taking everything but caltrops and the suicide vest. I would also take the single target attacks, leadership pool, grant invis, and healing pool. My travel power will be SJ and I'll take Acro for the KB protection. I plan to use only the Jounin and Oni. I'll also take the scorpion shield patron power. Just using IOs, I can get softcap s/l.

For Pain: I'll take everything but Share Pain. I'll have all arrow attacks. Only my pets will be six slotted. I'll have 5 slots in attacks and heals. Painbringer and Anguishing Cry will have 3 recharges each. I will have GW as my patron and use Dark Embrace and Oppressive Gloom. Suppress Pain should keep me from losing too much health (if any) and I can keep everything stunned while my Ninjas clean up. I would still take Leadership, grant invis, and Acro from jumping pool for my extra powers.

Both of these builds are for i19 since it will probably come out before i get back. Again, I am sorry I have no Mids to post here. Please leave any suggestions/ideas you may have. Thanks and Happy Hunting.
  2. Overall, your build looks fine to me. As long as you have fun with it, that's all that matters. I plan to build a sonic/rad myself when I get back to the states.

I myself don't have very much experience with sonic. I do have some experience with rad however and I would suggest trying to fit in Choking Cloud. One moment, baddies are attacking you. The next, they are held and gasping for breath. This power does tend to be an end hog though so you want to make sure you can slot it up. Also, I hear the Lockdown proc works great in this power. Just some food for thought.

    Anyone else have any ideas/suggestions?
  3. Jericho,

I would recommend downloading Mids. It has helped me put together some great builds. As for looking at other builds, I know the Cohplanner has some builds you can look at (I think it's still a few issues behind). You can find on cohtitan.com.

While I don't have any personal experience with these sets (just starting to like blasters recently), a friend of mine has made one and he loves it! Hell, I love teaming with him because he kills things so quickly. He uses both ranged and melee powers. I'm not sure what Epic pool he took or if he's switched to a Patron pool. As for power selection, that's all up to you. I say look at guides/builds and let it give you ideas. As long as you're having fun with it, it doesn't matter what the rest of us think. Try some stuff out and have fun. Welcome to City of Heroes/Villains!
  4. You're welcome. I'm just glad I could help.

I don't think that the stun duration would be enough to matter.

In my personal experience it doesn't. I have an EM/WP tank and I haven't noticed Whirling Hands degrading my regen at all. I think the stun effect would slow building up Fury.

You could get a Patron group immob or not take Whirling Hands at all if one was truly worried they would stumble away too quickly.

    Bots/Pain

I like the combo. I have a lvl 34 bots/pain and between the bubbles, their decent resist, and the tier 2 pets healing I usually don't have any problems. Plus, you can buff your pets and make them harder to kill.

If you like to be active and not just heal all the time, I would recommend taking some of the rifle attacks. Otherwise, you'll get bored just watching them kill stuff while you spam heals.
  7. I think your build looks good so far. I can't wait to start playing again and take a few of my MMs hero side. Janurary cannont come fast enough!
  8. First off, when it comes to builds you have the ultimate say.

That being said, I think slotting for Psi defense is a little bit of waste. I think you'd do better to slot for recharge and damage. I personally like the leadership powers, although I only took Assault and Tactics for my elec/regen. I also took Boxing/Tough. I'd rather have decent s/l resistance.

As for Kinetic Melee, it looks awesome and I can't wait to try it. Just a few more months and I'll get the chance.

Starflier, I too pine for the I19 version of Mids.
