I wonder why everyone likes her. What’s the appeal? I don’t argue it, but I DO ponder it…

    [/ QUOTE ]

Because she's the fun kinda crazy. Y'know, the type where you know the line at which she'll reach for the meat cleaver.

Edit: Am I the only one kinda turned on by that pic of "Jay's girlfriend"? I have no idea why, but I guess I find what appears to be an asian chick in a Ronald McDonald outfit practicing cannibalism really sexy.

Then again, I'm a little weird.

    [/ QUOTE ]

....Yeah, I'd say its a safe bet you're the only one.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I wouldn't........

'sides I think I dated her once.
  3. Jay is sexy. Jay needs to release more costumes to us shopping nuts.

BAB. I got strange looks from co workers as I laughed at your reply. Please continue.

Ex, stalk castle. *nods* You will get the picture.
  4. My Gift "Art" for Soul Train. Enjoy =)

"Siamo qui servire la gente. Per servirli, dovete obbedirli. Se li obbedite, possiamo servirli." The voice droned on across the speaker on the street corner. The air was thick with the smell of sweat, blood and black powder. The humidity contained by the dark grey storm clouds above was as oppressive as the government of this world. Soul Train looked around over the sandbags as the team took a much needed breather. She brushed cement chips from her perfect hair and looked to the others as tired and battered as herself. Her dark eyes drifted beyond the team she was working with to the smoldering ruins of the armored tank and missle launcher, the operators still unconcious from the assault the hero team from Primal Earth lead.

"How many portals left?" one of the tanks asked as he shook flattened 7.65 mm rounds from his hair and uniform.

    "Jus' one." Soul Train replied.

"Yea' the only bad news is its 150 yards down the street, in the open, with what looks like an Archon guarding it. Well an Archon and his 20 closests friends." The archer muttered. "I'm good, but the targetting drone picked up at least three snipers between us and them."

The fire thrower and one of the scrappers grinned to each other, nearly simultaneously saying, "Bet I can get two before you can."

Soul Train couldn't help but smile at the eagerness as she peaked over the edge again. Sure enough there they were and behind them the glowing portal caused by an unknown source. She looked over the black and red uniforms disapprovingly. The propaganda still broadcasting and droning on from the speakers as red and black banners shone their white skull face in the dying light and sickeningly warm wind.

The other tank stood up sliding his armored helmet back onto his head with a grunt and a hiss of technology fusing it. "Well, we can't wait forever." His eyes turned to the Scrapper and the Fire Thrower, "You two figure it out, we will take the rest. Soul Train, when you are ready....lets bring the Noise."

She stood up and smiled even bigger, adjusting her uniform one final time as the scrapper and blaster jumped to take care of the snipers. It was a talent she had, very few in the City of Heroes truly could do it and it made her a welcome asset to any team that understood good tactics. She closed her eyes and 'pulled'; the portal opening around her and the team and dropping them into the lap of a very surprised 5th Column unit.

She didn't speak italian, but she knew 'Kill them' in almost any language. She didn't wait to see what the others were doing, it was instinct. She drew as much power from their bodies and arsenal as she could and channeled it into an explosive Nova class blast back at them. she took the barest second to catch her breath, inspired by the way the others were covering her as the enemy was scattered to the four winds save a handful of men, including the Archon.

She had done this before, it was muscle memory, she reached out and tried to draw his energy into herself. She heard his bitter laugh as he dodged the intangible attack. She didn't have time to panic, as he leveled a shoulder mounted rocket launcher as wide around as her, and touched the firing stud.

WHABOOM!! The missile exploded against her chest, sending her flying backward as the force of the blast and the shrapnel shredded her white and gold uniform, even as her body converted most of the impact to a kinetic energy bleed-off that flared gold-white, sapping her vitality and giving her an immense purplish bruise across her midsection.

She landed on her behind with a pained grunt, skidding backwards into a pile of sandbags, and even as she kipped herself to her feet, she saw the Archon work a lever, and another missile auto-loaded itself into the firing tube.

Then something clicked, something changed inside her, and she felt a surge of power she didn't know she had, some untapped reserve of pure kinetic force.

The enemy didn't have a chance.

    ______________________________________________

The team was laughing a bit to hide the pain they were in as they stepped back through the portal. An anxious Unai Kemen waiting at the end of the walk way.

"How did it go?" He asked impatiently.

"We won, they lost." Soul Train replied with a winning smile.

He sighed and rubbed his forehead, "Right, right. Well you need to see Ms Liberty immedeately Soul Train."

    "Wha? What for?" She asked.

"She didn't offer and I didn't press it." He snapped in his usual fashion.

She shook her head at the angry lil man and smirked a bit as she adjusted the laws of physics around herself, jumping clear of Portal Corporation, it's head of security and Peregrine Island. Moments later she landed on top of Atlas Statue, brushing her fingers over the plaque that read 'Top Dog'. She leapt down from the massive staute, feeling the eyes of dozens of new heroes and heroines upon her as she walked towards Ms Liberty.

    "You wanted to see me?"

"Yes, yes I did Soul Train. It seems something is wrong with your hero liscence." Liberty said evenly, looking up at the taller woman.

    "WHAT?"

Liberty laughed loudly as she smiled, "Yes, it seems that the clearance level is all wrong. It should read 50, not 49. I've been going over all the records and received some reports from your contacts and other citizens...."

    "You mean?"

"Thats right." Liberty said with a nod, then she looked around calling out. "Congratulations Soul Train. HERO OF THE CITY!"
  5. Congrats!!

    Drop me a PM /shifty eyes/
  6. Darques vision of Plasma Stream

As normal, I let the artist decide pose and look. I am really happy with this piece as in my mind I see it as Plas going from her human form to blaster mode..
  7. *slides into the thread and concieves of giving LJ another cameo for being just that cool*
  8. Thank you Ex, Warface and Mad Scientist, and everyone else who helped this along

I think I can reasonably say that we are used to no attention, so any changes that come of this off that list, even if it's only a handful we will be grateful for.
  9. 2 Button makes sense it clears up some of the options.
  10. Ok, I really like that Offline Application idea Korith and MS!
  11. New Theme: Military - this uses features seen in Longbow, Arachnos and other military bases in game that exist no where else.

New Theme: Factory/Warehouse - contains items seen on these maps, that are not addressed elsewhere. Items addressed elsewhere could be moved here.

I dont know that the rowed tabs will work without a certain level of complexity, but if it can great.

    - "Are you sure you wish to apply this to the entire base?" OK box to appear if you choose to apply Style, Color or Lighting to Entire Base. I cant count the number of times Ive been working and accidentally clicked this and had to fix everything after that.

I do support the change of the Architechture group: Floor tiles, Stairs, Pillars (hopefully other objects to come)
  12. Promote/Demote Offline: Nothings sucks quite as much as having someone switch characters just to demote them. It would be nice to be able to also promote people offline for those pleasant surprises once they pass trial periods

*wish item* Additional ranks. 5 is nice. but I know my group could use more, but this is is only a greed thing, not a need thing.

    - A way to ensure they see the MotD periodically more than login.

    - This is more costume issue, but SG Mode is per costume not static. It sucks having go to into the SG mode editor every time you switch costumes if you are actually using SG colors.

    - More SG Symbols

    - Prestige Slider or Lilith bless us, the removal of the prestige/inf breakdown and just give us both. Dont make people have to choose between themselves and the group. Not particularly fair to the group.

-Review influence reductions - I'm personally okay with the 10% decline, but it's been suggested before that it's too fast. Some say dropping 5%/level would be better. Some review and discussion of this rate would be helpful.

Korith, you mean with the current Prestige incarnation?

Sorry, in a hurry, don't have time to read the entire thread.

    1. Allow telepads to go to 3 destinations. This would allow the 5x5 teleport room to go to all 21 hero-side zones, and subsequently free up a lot of room in the base for other rooms.

    2. Standardize the size of tech-vs-arcane crafted items. It is ridiculous that the Mystic Orrery requires the 5x5, 5-million-prestige control room, but the exact same item in its tech version fits in a much smaller and cheaper room. The aesthetic preference for arcane over tech should not entail such huge costs.

    3. Add more arcane decorative items, particularly for lighting options and wall details.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Your requests are in about 2 other threads as well. You aren't the only one.
  14. I would love the Arachnos Base Map Targetting and Weapons room...its one of my fav rooms even if it shows up so rarely.

Holographic Targets should be..moderately easy to add.
  15. Reviewed the other stuff suggested, you hit the major points overall. Its a place to begin the rest can come as needed later.

(Not that there was anything wrong with the long version, but I don't want it to overshadow the previous paragraph. Getting more official feedback threads would, IMHO, be the single best way to improve future base development.)
    Thoughts?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I concur on this, at least having someone acknowledge or even the mere presence of someone does wonders. As an example look what Ex has been able to pull off with the pvp community.

My wants are pretty much what's shown already - the ability to host more than 2 zones per beacon (at higher cost, likely) would be VERY in demand, and the ability to port directly to outside a mission door post-defeat also a great goodie to have. Both would be excellent QoL improvements.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ironically we had the last as a bug.
