Bump for this notice:
Quote:I'm going to be optimistic and not cancel, but if I'm not in Pocket D tomorrow at the scheduled time, that's why. Apologies in advance if I'm not able to make it, although I would be surprised if anyone's less happy about the situation than I amAs of when I left for work this morning, my home Internet is down. Unless this situation is resolved before tomorrow afternoon, I won't be able to attend this tomorrow. -

Like last week, I'm planning to focus on getting Triple Threat. The Hard Way can easily be tried alongside Triple Threat, so if people need it, we can try for it, too; the strategy we had last week should work. If we get Triple Threat and have time left, we can do Ready to Rumble afterward. We should get Shadow Master on each run. I'm not planning to go for The Really Hard Way this week.
I'm under a tighter deadline than normal this week, but should still be able to get up to three runs in. For those also interested in the Master of Lady Grey attempt, I'll have to leave before that starts forming so there won't be any conflicts.
I'm going to require that everyone be +3. Experience with the trial and Hybrid unlocked and slotted are nice, but not required. Please sign up below or send me a tell in-game if you'd like me to save you a spot.
This will be Sunday, July 29. I'll start forming in Pocket D at 3:00 PM EDT and launch when we fill. I'll hold reserved spots until 3:30 EDT. -
Also, next weekend is going to be a Rikti Invasion weekend.

Quote:According to ParagonWiki, the threshold is around .75. So Quick Strike should be knockdown, unless it gets boosted.Knockdown is knockback that is .67 or lower magnitude. Essentially, there is no such mechanic as knockdown, it's just a term to distinguish between results.
Quick Strike's magnitude is .7 so it's going to be knockback, not knockdown, but it's going to be extremely short range, little more than flopping onto their back. (The lower the magnitude above .67, the less range they get knocked.) -
I would guess Issue 24 will have something, but until the announcement goes up and/or beta starts, that's purely a guess.

Got close to both TT and HW on the first run. I think four lights, three times is the way to go for HW, we just need to be faster on taking the lights out.
Right now, I'm not sure I can do this next week. I'll bump this thread (or post a new signup thread) when I know for sure.
Thanks to those who came out and see you next time. -
A little over 90 minutes till I'll be in Pocket D recruiting for this. See you all then, and there's plenty of room for people who haven't signed up.
-
Just plain bad luck this week. But we had the technique down and got through the last time freeze with both badges still in play the first time; that's the hard part.
Thanks for organizing and leading. -

This week, I'm planning to focus on getting Triple Threat, because I think most people who need badges still need that one, and The Hard Way, which just bugs me. If people still need Ready to Rumble, I'll try to work it in too. We should also get Shadow Master on each run. I'm not planning to go for The Really Hard Way this week.
I'm planning up to three runs, although hopefully we won't need more than two.
Because the AVs are 54+3 (or higher, in Tyrant's case) I'm going to ask that everyone be +3. Experience with the trial and Hybrid unlocked and slotted are nice, but not required. Please sign up below if you're interested, or send me a tell or e-mail in-game.

I should be there, probably with my emp at first but willing to switch as needed. And I don't need the badges so I'd be willing to bow out if you need the spot for someone who does.

Quote:Did you buy the Halloween costume bundle? If I remember right, it was included in that.I unlocked the Bats aura on a few characters durin' the Halloween event, and went to purchase it yesterday, but received an error along the lines o' "you cannot complete this purchase as you may have already bought it".
A friend o' mine also attempted to purchase it while logged on a character that most definitely did not unlock it as it hadn't exist until recently, and he received the same error.
Anyone else get an error tryin' to buy the bats aura? -
- How many characters have you fully incarnated?
Ten. Just got Hybrid on my last who was fully incarnated before i23 launched last week, and had the ability ready to go.
- How many characters have you incarnated?
Eleven. The one that's not fully kitted out is my newest 50; I've only run a couple trials with her (my evening playtime is at a severe premium during the summer), and she's got the first five slots unlocked, each with a tier 2 ability (except Alpha, which has tier 3).
- How many characters have you rolled with the intention of making them Full Incarnates?
None, really. My main started the trials because there were badges involved. Then I discovered I really liked the trials, and it only took a couple weeks, on average, to fill out an Incarnate, so I quickly moved through my whole roster of 50s...
- Do you have any characters that you, for whatever reason, are not going to make Incarnates?
Intentionally? No. Realistically, I doubt I'll ever get all my characters to 50, particularly not the really low-level villains whom I'm mostly content to let languish.

Quote:Hmm. I don't have that file either. I've seen it before, but I don't have it right now.I had the exact same issue.
I renamed the D:\Program Files (x86)\Titan Network\Mids Hero Designer\mhd.mhz as indicated in the screen prompt and tried again but no luck.
I renamed the "Titan Network folder", renamed my "Hero & Villain Builds" folder (in Documents) and ran the install from the Internet (didnt download the file first) to my original location.
I then renamed the "Hero & Villain Builds" back and ran Mids and it worked.
I looked at both my original Mids folder and the newly installed one and the new folder does NOT have the mhd.mhz file at all.
Was able to launch right after the latest reinstall, but after closing it I'm getting the error message again. Running a registry cleaner didn't work, either.
Not a huge deal since I'm only on my work computer, but it's still frustrating. -
Quote:I'm not quite sure what I did, but now I can't get Mids' to launch at all.1.959 is released with fixes. I updated the post. It has some problems with the Bio Armor toggles not appearing.
When I first installed the update, I was prompted to download an updated database. Did that, and it said it needed to restart to finish applying the update. Fine, I did that.
When it restarted, the update applied, then I got the prompt for the same database update. Figuring I'd just downloaded the database, I declined, and got a database error that crashed the program.
Relaunched it, downloaded the database again, decided not to restart to apply it, and it finished launching.
Well, I can't leave well enough alone; I wanted to see if I'd have to go through that every time. Close and relaunch. Updated database is applied, and I get the prompt to download the database. No, I say. Crash.
Go through a few more cycles of everything until I'm where I'm at now...
Launch, get the prompt to finish applying the latest update, hit OK, "The system cannot find the file specified." Well, pancake.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've tried restarting the computer in between. Still not able to launch. -
Wow, I hadn't considered that. I've got binds set up so that mine goes off pretty much every time it comes up (I can turn the binds off if I want to save it) so I don't even think about it anymore. Two minutes is just about perfect, especially with trying to do it in three cycles of four lights. Thanks for bringing it up.

Second run got Ready to Rumble, despite me being distracted for the first part of it trying to get everyone on the league.
As for Triple Threat... Pendragon got an unfortunate regen tick, then on the last try Shadow Hunter just wouldn't drop at the same time as the other two, and five seconds is a really tight window.
For The Hard Way, the closest we came was the time we took him down a bit before we started the lights. If I'd been a little more patient (say, 75%) we'd have had that. Going to try a couple different things for it next week.
Good runs all, grats on Ready to Rumble, and hope to see you all next week for another round. -
This is today, in a few hours.
-
Yeah, there wasn't anything anyone could do. That was my point, in all the Loves a Challenge runs I've done that's probably the most sheer unlucky failure I've seen.
-
When you fail Loves a Challenge like that, you know it just wasn't meant to be.
Grats to those who got Anti-Anti-Matter, Bunker Buster, and/or Master of Keyes Island Reactor.
And as always, thanks to Amy for organizing and leading. -
I'm not leading a The Really Hard Way attempt this week, instead focusing on the badges required for Master of Magisterium. I'm planning 2 runs:
- Triple Threat
- Ready to Rumble
As for The Hard Way, Tuesday's patch made it so Lore pets no longer receive the level shift from the Lights, which makes the strategy of "drop Lores, hit Lights, smash Tyrant, win" no longer guaranteed. With this in mind, I'm going to try a couple different things for The Hard Way to see which strategy works best.
Not going for TRHW makes the requirements list a little shorter:- Must be 50+3.
This will be Sunday, July 15. I'll start forming in Pocket D at 3:00 PM EDT and launch when we fill. I'll hold reserved spots until 3:30 EDT. -
...someone said Keyes?
I should be around to help out; let me know what you need and I'll do my best to bring it. -
