Sure thing! Please let me know a global or character name so I know who to look for, though

There are several one-off badge missions that can go just as fast. The one where the only objective is defeating Nightstar comes to mind. The other personal stories, for that matter; Cole's is the only one that requires combat. Matthew Habashy's arc can be done in 10 minutes and gives challenge badges.

More importantly, the workaround doesn't work for everybody. I stood under Cole's statue, pulled, used only the laser eyes, and still mapserved. If I hadn't autocompleted it, I may still not have the badge (although when I ran it through Ouro, I could use all the powers and do the mission more or less as designed).
  4. Back at it this Sunday, going for The Really Hard Way. We should also get Shadow Master and The Hard Way (even if The Really Hard Way doesn't work out); Ready to Rumble is certainly possible, but I won't be actively trying for it on either of the first two runs. The first run won't use Ultimates, so we can practice dodging lightning and see where we start hitting the regen wall, then we'll go for the badge on the second try. Time and interest permitting, I could do a third run to try to get either Triple Threat or Ready to Rumble.

If you'd like me to save you a spot, post below or let me know in-game.

    Requirements
    • +3 level shift.
    • Hybrid unlocked and slotted.
    • Completed the Magisterium trial.
    • At least 6 Ultimates. There may be some available at the event, but please try to bring your own. You can get them from:
      • Astral Christy in Ouroboros for 2 Astral Merits each.
      • Wentworth's. I haven't checked prices lately but last time I did they were running between 7 and 10 million.

    Other considerations
    • If your badge character needs it, by all means, bring them.
    • General Incarnate suggestions:
      • Judgement: Try to avoid Vorpal (he resists smashing).
      • Interface: One with a damage proc. Reactive and Degenerative have nice other effects, but don't overdo them as they can only stack a few times.
      • Lore: High single-target DPS (List at ParagonWiki for comparison) and/or exotic damage. Note that Cimerorans are getting brought into line (i.e., nerfed) in i24, so be careful if you choose to make them.
      • Destiny: Barrier or Rebirth.
      • Hybrid: Assault (Radial) or Support.
      • If you can't change to one of these, anything's better than nothing. Also, don't change from an ability with a level shift to one without.
    • Overall, the main concern is being able to do steady damage to Tyrant. Stacking Barrier and Rebirth destinies should be enough to keep the league alive.
    • The best things to bring are damage, AoE damage and tohit buffs, and defense and resistance debuffs for Tyrant.
    • Corruptors are good, between the buff/debuffs and Scourge.
    • Leadership powers, particularly Assault and Tactics, are useful.
    • For filling the non-Ultimate slots in your tray: reds (although we'll hopefully be pushing the damage cap without them), greens, or team yellows (or red/yellows).

This will be Sunday, August 19. I'll start forming in Pocket D at 3:00 PM EDT and launch when we fill. I'll hold reserved spots until 3:30 EDT.

  6. I don't need the badge, but if you need help, you know where to find me.

Edit: Looking over the roster, we seem to have tanking and emping covered. (I can still bring a tank or emp if that's what's most needed, though.) So a quick rundown of the characters who I think add the most to the roster:
    • Elec/elec blaster. Has stealth and Recall, and a snipe.
    • Ice/storm controller.
    • Plant/TA controller. Only rare Hybrid, Interface, Judgement, and Lore.
    • Mind/psi dominator. Now (barely) perma without outside buffs; still building. Has a snipe. Will have rare Alpha, uncommon Destiny, Interface, Judgement, and Lore.

Well, it wasn't in the initial patch notes, but now:

I've also decided to add a large Psychic IXP bonus to the two Challenge badges in the i24 Incarnate Arc - each badge will unlock about 10% of your Hybrid slot. I think this keeps with the Incarnate mantra of "High difficulty, high rewards", as well as provides solo players with a quick boost towards their Hybrid slot for doing cool things.
    Yay.
  8. Empath (for Primals) or Death's Jailer (for Praetorians). Same badge names for heroes and villains.

I'm going to be watching this thread, though, so please do mention these badges so I can plan future runs and know when most people have it.
  10. Grats to Pinnacle on finally getting RHW!

  12. As one might guess by the other posts, we had a good day. First run got only Shadow Master but was close on the others we tried for, second run got Triple Threat and The Hard Way, and the third run got Ready to Rumble and an extra The Hard Way for good measure.

So that's Master of Magisterium for everyone who was around for the last two runs

Grats on the badges all, and thanks for coming out.

I'm taking next week off for double XP, then probably going to start back up trying to get The Really Hard Way again.

    Grats on the badge, all!
  14. My guess is it's roughly in chronological order of release. Here's my best stab at it:
    • All 1-20 content introduced since GR.
    • Rift enclosures. (Praetorians go to Primal earth.)
    • 20-29 tip missions, Drowning in Blood, Issue 17 & 19 arcs (Keith Nance/Jenni Adair/Roy Cooling; Dean MacArthur/Leonard/Vincent Ross).
    • 30-39 tip missions.
    • 40-50 tip missions.
    • The Instant Army (Tina Macintyre, new arc).
    • A Hero's Epic (Maria Jenkins, new arc; impossible to place post-retcon because Penelope Yin (as a member of the Freedom Phalanx), Battle Maiden, and Mother Mayhem are all in it.)
    • Power Overwhelming (Mender Ramiel).
    • Alpha Strike (Apex Task Force).
    • The Praetorian Offensive (Tin Mage Task Force).
    • The Sky Is Falling (Admiral Sutter Task Force).
    • Wizard's Weakness / The Fire and the Flames (Mortimer Kal Strike Force).
    • Behavioral Adjustment Facility trial.
    • Lambda Sector trial.
    • The first round of Praetorian invasions.
    • Keyes Island Reactor trial.
    • The second round of Praetorian invasions.
    • First Ward.
    • The Underground trial. (Statesman is still alive at this point.)
    • TPN Campus trial.
    • Night Ward. (At least starts before MoM; it makes no sense to free Katie from the Seer Network after dismantling it.)
    • Minds of Mayhem trial.
    • Who Will Die.
    • A Clamor for the People. (Penelope Yin Task Force.)
    • Pandora's Box. (Guess based on the presence of the Talons of Vengeance, who were severely weakened in Dark Astoria.)
    • Dark Astoria.
    • Dilemma Diabolique.
    • The Emperor's Sword. (Belladonna Vetrano.)
    • The Last Line of the Law. (Emperor Cole's personal story.)
    • The Magisterium trial.

A lot of those can slide around fairly easily, and some of the ongoing ones can stretch a bit.

Good luck to those participating in this!
  16. As of now I see no reason to doubt I'll be there tomorrow afternoon. I'll try to say something here and in-game if that changes.

Assuming it doesn't, see you all tomorrow afternoon.
  17. I've had a real-world issue pop up, and while I should be able to play Sunday afternoon, I may not be able to, perhaps with little to no warning. Apologies in advance if that's the case.

(The last week for me, ever since I came home and discovered my Internet connection was down, can generously be described as "crappy." At this point, if my luck evens out, Chimera, Pendragon, and Shadow Hunter will just die of pity when they show up, for the easiest badge ever.)
  18. /em pokewithstick (at modem)

    Okay, I think I'm good.

Same plan as the last few weeks:
    • Triple Threat is still the focus.
    • If people need The Hard Way, we can try for it without extra complication.
    • Ready to Rumble doesn't play nice with Triple Threat, so it'll have to wait.
    • I assume most people will have Shadow Master. If not, we should pick it up along the way anyway.
    • Still not planning on trying for The Really Hard Way. Once Triple Threat is done, I'll start trying for that again.

Hopefully we can get all the badges in two runs. If not, I'll stay as long as I can and there's still people interested.

I'm going to require that everyone be +3. Experience with the trial and Hybrid unlocked and slotted are nice, but not required. Please sign up below or send me a tell in-game if you'd like me to save you a spot.

This will be Sunday, August 5. I'll start forming in Pocket D at 3:00 PM EDT and launch when we fill. I'll hold reserved spots until 3:30 EDT.

Just tested it on Test, and didn't get the badge, so if it was true at one point, it's not anymore.

(Disclaimer: I saved the Crey mission for last (by abandoning it each time it came up before), so it may be possible as long as it's not the last one you fail. I wouldn't recommend trying that on a Live server, though.)

That was a brutal fail, too. I had problems with mapping the area because I was an idiot, and then the objective was in sight, I clicked on it, the bar was 90% full...then I got shot by a random patrol wandering through. Then fail. So near to pulling victory from the jaws of defeat.

Yep, five minutes. Not sure if repeated defeats reset the timer or just don't count.

I rolled 6 alts to 15 on redside and parked them all in their hospital in Bloody Bay. I found a nice secluded spot not so far away from there for my blue side badger to camp out unseen by any other enemy player and just rotated through them.

When defeated, go to hospital and logout then straight back in with the next alt. Short run to the camp spot whilst timer counts down and blam. Repeat.

With 6 alts that covered the timer issues and so no waiting about at all.

Still really tedious, but way easier than getting a huge number of other players all agreeing to be your rep bait! And yes, we badgers do need to get a life
That's pretty much what I did, only at the start of each session I gave each alt a full tray of wakies and popped one just before logging. The best part of that was that my wakies ran out right around the time my patience did.

Glad to hear y'all made the attempt, sorry it didn't work out.

I'm back online now, so assuming my Internet holds up through the weekend I'll go again Sunday. I'll get a signup thread up in the next couple days.
  25. As of now, it looks like my Internet won't be fixed until Monday at the earliest. I'm going to try one more thing tomorrow, but if that doesn't work I almost certainly won't be able to do this.

If anyone would like to run this if I can't make it, feel free. @Craz Dragoon and @ReDorothy have asked me to save them spots.

Hope to see you all tomorrow; if not, I'm sorry, and good luck if you do try.
