  1. A month or so ago, I created a beam/traps corruptor and the power customizations weren't working. I was using white as one of the colors. I tried deleting and rerolling, adjusting the colors, etc. I eventually gave up and rolled a stalker instead, although I have the costume I was going to use saved for when this gets fixed. (Unfortunately, I'm out of character slots on my server for the moment; I'm hoping to wait for them to go on sale before buying more.)

As far as I know, this isn't the case. Assuming it's not, if you'd like to join, send me a tell (@Placta) and I can invite you. The rules are here.
  3. Any and all electric sets. Driving home with the game, I wanted to make a character who shot lightning at her enemies, and so my first character was an elec/elec blaster. I made an elec/elec tanker the day Issue 16 went live, and a elec/cold troller when I got GR, as a counterpart to my ice/storm troller. I also now have an elec/elec dom (the Praetorian version of my main), and someday would like to make an elec/storm corruptor.

The same issue extends to the underground Resistance hideouts, although there's nothing to "complete" so it just makes getting around slow if you don't have the Rocket Board.
  5. Yep, just got the same email. It's disappointing, and I'm not sure how all of us missed it.

    Ah, well.
  6. For anyone waiting for news, I received an update an hour ago that said they're still looking into it and will get back to me when they know something. I'll post any further updates and encourage anyone else who learns something to do the same.

Also, some things that slipped my mind earlier that I'd like to say:

First, we've got this trial down solid. I don't recall a significant hiccup in any of today's three runs. Great job with that, everyone.

Second, after a few hiccups with it, I think we've gotten to the point where we can stop the time freeze from happening the same time the Beam fires. That was the last real problem we've had with Green Stuff, so even if we don't get it from the petition it's really just a matter of time.

Third, we did have one person get Master of Keyes for sure: Anti-Anti-Matter was the last badge Kadylin was missing. Congrats to her.

Finally. Hopefully Customer Service will see it our way and give us the badge(s), but even if they don't, as far as I'm concerned, we got that badge. We'll just have to go again another time and make it official
  7. Well, this is frustrating.

As far as anyone on the league can tell, we should have gotten it on the third run. So, we're sitting around waiting to see if a GM can come and either explain why we didn't or give us the badge.

We got Loves a Challenge again on the first run, and Anti-Anti-Matter on the third. I was going to do Bunker Buster on the fourth, but waiting on the petition means we're going to run out of time.

Regardless of the petition's outcome, I'm going again next week. (3:30 EST, Pocket D.)
  8. Barring any last-minute changes in schedule that keep me away, going to start forming in Pocket D in a little under 24 hours.

Loves a Challenge, i.e., the terminals, isn't why I ask to hold Lore pets until called for; Lore pets have the Mastermind control panel and can be set to passive so they can be directed to attack Anti-Matter but then will automatically leave the terminals alone.

The reasons why I ask to hold Lore pets, in descending order:

    • The more bodies and effects, the harder it is to see the beam. Some are worse for this than others. (Storm Elementals are horrible for this. I don't think I've ever even seen my scrapper's Drones.)
    • Lore pets complicate stopping damage on Anti-Matter if needed to delay a time freeze till after a Beam.
    • Although they don't count, when they get caught in the Beam does create a moment of panic. "Oh shi... oh. It's that stupid Vicky again."
    • I'd rather hold the source of extra damage as a last resort.

    Hmm...

We could use Lore pets to take out terminals while players dodge the Beam, then dismiss the pets when Anti-Matter's back up. Probably still not worth it to bother with the first station, so then maybe half the league would summon their pets for the second station, and the other half would summon their pets for the third station.

It's an idea, anyway. As long as nobody needs Loves a Challenge.
  11. Thank you, Shin and Amy, for your feedback.

I'm going to make leaving the terminals the default strategy, with taking them out becoming an option if time's becoming an issue.

I've reorganized the first post, with a lot of things rewritten. I'll go over it all on Sundays, as usual.

And in case it got lost with everything else in my last post: I am going again this Sunday, normal time.
  12. A few notes:

After the last run, one person told me they saw someone hit by the beam, which explains why it failed.

I'm looking for feedback on this: Assuming we're not under time pressure, should we leave the terminals alone, regardless of whether we're trying for Loves a Challenge? The upside is that it's easy to dodge the beam when all we're doing is waiting for Anti-Matter to regenerate. The downside is we'd have a few more beams in combat to dodge, and a few Disintegration deaths could mean the whole trial fails.

On that note, I'm willing to add trying for Loves a Challenge to future runs if someone asks, as long as I think we have enough healing to make it work. Again, I'm open to feedback on this point.

Finally, it's looking good for me being able to make it Sunday after all (If you can't, I understand and will probably keep these going until we get Green Stuff on a non-holiday weekend.) I'll edit the first post, probably tomorrow, with updated information.
  13. Despite Green Stuff still being elusive (or the league not being elusive enough), I think I can say this week was a success.

We got four runs in. I only had to advertise for more for the last one.

We got Loves a Challenge on the second run.

All four runs for Green Stuff were close. The last one I thought we'd get the badge right up until we didn't.

The third time we successfully worked in Anti-Anti-Matter and Bunker Buster.

Thanks to everybody who came out, and special thanks to all the regulars who've been coming out the last few weeks and gotten this to the point where I believe the end's in sight. I know it's been frustrating (believe me, I know ), so thank you all for sticking with it.

    On a less cheerful note...

I don't know if I'll be able to do this next Sunday. There are Christmas decorations that need to go up, and Sunday seems like the most likely time. I'll add information about the next run to this thread when I know more, and I'm sure it'll show up other places the earlier runs have been advertised. And even if I can't commit to a scheduled run, don't be surprised to see me shout out "Keyes Green Stuff run forming in Pocket D!" on Global Channels next Sunday.
  14. Forgot to bump this thread yesterday. Blame the excitement over the pummit Ustreams, or getting off work early right when I would normally post my 24-hour notice.

Anyway, this is today. I'll be in Pocket D in about three hours to start forming.
  15. Check your second build; if it has crab powers, your costumes will all have the crab arms regardless of which build is active.
  16. Placta

    CoX Bucket List?

    1. Play one of each archetype to 50. Blaster, controller, defender, mastermind, peacebringer, scrapper, tanker, and warshade done. Dominator 24, brute 16, widow 12, stalker 8, corruptor and soldier 3.
    2. Build a "complete" supergroup base. My blueside base is pretty well done unless they add more beacons or I decide I just can't live without an Oracle so I can run one-team CoPs. Redside could use more in the workshop but is also otherwise done.
    3. Play every misison. Largely abandoned due to intensifying dislike of redside. Mostly done blueside, and about half done goldside.
    4. Have all blueside Ouroboros arcs starred off on my blaster. Mostly done; still need to do Long Jack's arc again (ugh; don't know why the first time didn't count) plus First Ward and the revamped Tina Mac arc.
    5. Earn all the badges I can get on my blaster. Two short: News Flash and Master of TPN Campus. (Edit: Long overdue update.)
    6. Help someone get a badge I don't need, just to help. Done several times. Hopefully will be done many more.
    7. Lead a successful Master of... Task Force. Done, Lady Grey.
    8. Lead a mothership raid. Not done.
    9. Host a regular event that lasts beyond a couple runs. I started Sunday afternoon badging back in August, and it's still going. (Largely thanks to continued frustration with MoKeyes.) I hope to keep it going (or resume in January, at least) even after I'm done with Keyes, but we'll see.
    10. Host a social event. Maybe someday...

Manti wouldn't necessarily have to be taken out of the Shining Stars arcs. The Shining Stars (minus the traitor and Flambeaux) appear in Who Will Die, so Twinshot's arcs clearly take place before WWD.

The ones that I can think would have to be defined as "before WWD" if a character died, rather than rewritten with the character taken out:
    • Maria Jenkins' new arc becomes a complete mess if Statesman's dead.
    • The Kal SF features Numina and Posi in fairly significant and irreplaceable roles.
  18. Despite not getting either final battle badge, this was a good week:
    • Four runs, even with mixing in Anti-Anti-Matter and Bunker Buster attempts.
    • We got Bunker Buster.
    • We had a run that didn't fail Loves a Challenge until after the third regeneration, and only one person got caught in the beam. And no trouble finishing.

There were a lot of times when people didn't follow instructions this week, the worst being when a terminal was destroyed despite at least three or four people yelling to stop. Please, the single most important thing for these badges is to pay attention to chat and follow directions.

Next week, same time, same place. I'll update the first post tomorrow.
  19. Home now and ready to start forming in a little over 20 minutes.
  20. Missed the 24-hour warning (rough day at work), so this is the 20-hour warning.

I've had a chance to run a couple revamped Keyeses, and... it's quick. We shouldn't have trouble getting three runs in, and 4+... well, I can dream

As for Anti-Anti-Matter and Bunker Buster, we'll skip them on the first run and see how quickly things go. I'll decide whether to go after them after that. (Ideally, we'll get Green Stuff and Challenge on the first run and there won't be any debate. Ideally.)

Last note: My event is earlier than I'd thought, so I shouldn't have any trouble making it home in time. So, yay for that.

Yes. While disintegrating, dying for any reason – Disintegration, Oblit Beam, Entanglement, AM's attacks, Self Destruction – heals AM.

The 21.5 changes to Keyes have gone live. A brief summary of the changes:
    • All three reactors only require 6 terminals, instead of 10.
    • For the reactors where Anti-Matter needs to be brought to the terminals, only the first cell per terminal requires his presence. (The patch notes are a bit ambiguous on whether a terminal that was started before his arrival requires his presence to continue. I would assume so.)
    • Cell restocking begins sooner, and the Anti-Matter timer has been shortened to 90 seconds.
    • Damage from the pulse has been reduced. The base pulse is 20% max health. The maximum pulse is 35% max health.
    • We have 20 minutes per reactor instead of 30. I don't think I've gone over 20 minutes before it was made easier, so I doubt this will be a problem.
    • The first disintegration pulse has been slightly increased, and the last two have been decreased. The final pulse no longer requires the one-shot code to survive. Surviving Disintegration only drains 50% endurance.

I haven't had a chance to play the revamped trial, so I can't say how it works in practice, and I won't be making any changes to plans just yet.
  23. Beta and Test have the same version number (2150.201111031938.1.0), but there are a few differences (that I noticed, but I don't have much presence on Test):

    1. The TPN and MoM trials are not listed in the LFG window on Test.
    2. The Christmas event is active on Beta.
    3. Some, perhaps most, elements of the Halloween event are active on Test. The Kane trial wasn't available, but everything else seemed to be.

However, other 21.5 things like the new Incarnate trees are available on Test.

    And...

The post-patch version number for Live is now the same as Beta and Test. So... we'll see.
  24. Snow Globe quoted the wrong bit.
