Do we really need toons on this server to have a PvP league?
We'll all make fake signups and draft 'em. We'll schedule weekly practices that nobody will show up for, and gather on vent once a week to argue about rules, call each other fat, and accuse each other of cheating. After 8 weeks of this, the players that haven't quit yet will reveal their true identities, Lib will make pancake pictures, and whoever has the nicest stack will be declared the winner.
We'll have all of the skill & talent of a normal PvP league, without all that bothersome levelling and accolading. -

My first character was a stone/stone tank that got deleted the next day, when I made my fire/fire blaster, Hero Sheema. Then I4 came out, and after having the nerve to actually win a 1v1 in the fancy new arena, a very irate opponent vowed to petition my name, and shortly thereafter it was shortened to Sheema.
I remember when CoV came out, I had a hard time finding a villain that "stuck", so I had a lot of villains, few over level 10 or so. Then I rolled Oblivia, and ice/dark corr - a toon that I got a lot of miles (and a lot of early days RSFs) out of. -
Do the flying swords have repel resist? Or would huddling up to a bubbler make you pretty much immune to the melee-only swords?

One bug to report, though: PvPIO's are only showing the PvE bonuses. -
Pac-Man could have been such a fun game, if it wasn't for all that bothersome dot-eating.

I'm pretty sure that WAGgro refers to the actions taken by my forum avatar to convince me that a bit of frisbee would be a better use of time than CoH.

No. During the most recent round of global chat glitches, we managed to lose all op status in one of our global channels. Multiple support requests all came back with the same answer: quit and form a new channel.

So I finally started to grind out some hero merits (because hey there isn't much to do).
1 Hero merit = 11 tip missions or 50 Merits + 20 million influence (Can get 50 merits from Synapse I think which can be run in about an hour to hour and a half). Can earn one once every 20 or 24 hours.
1 Piece of Glad Jav set = 25-30 Hero Merits
1 Full set = 165 Merits
5 Pieces of Apoc = 100 Merits
Say you are looking at a Psi/EM 3 sets of glad javs + 1 set of apocs.
(3 x 165) + 100 = 595 hero merits to have your standard range offensive toon slotted out for PvP.
To be able to do that you'd also need 11.9 Billion influence (if you are converting normal merits) and run the Synapse TF around 600 times. Or you would need to do 6,545 tip missions.
You would need to do the Synapse TF every day for over a year and a half. (Synapse TF is 15 missions long though some are deliveries. Either way adds up to 9,000 missions)
You can only get 5 tips per day, taking you 2 days to earn a hero merit that way. Off tips alone you would need to do 5 missions 1 day, 6 the next and after 3 and a quarter years you'd have your blaster's main attacks PvPIO/Purpled out.

I dunno. If the new custom animations include a "Pelvic Thrust" option for Telekinetic Blast, my PvP enjoyment will go up by a factor of at least 5.
