Wow, why all this Osha hate? Should a persons opinion effect others so harshly as to cause hateful feelings? Especially over a *game*?
[/ QUOTE ]
It goes beyond a game once real people are given a forum to be jerks.
Okay, that came out wrong. I'm not calling anyone a jerk, I'm just saying that they have the option to be one, so things are a bit different. Game or not, the forums is where things are said, and there are a few people here that have posted very harsh things to me in the past, on this forum.
But I agree that people need to cool off.
How do I get Devs in my Vent server? I really want to tell them that I'm going to kill off Manticore for stealing Sister Psyche from me. -
I think we could bring this together with the big red ball idea.

(CoH2 maybe?)

Don't start talking like that. I want more issues to CoH before they start thinking about a sequel. -
I'm cool with it. As long as having the ball in your party doesn't bring Voids, Quants, or Cysts.
*Glares at the Devs* -
I thought it was increased to 4 people already.

I've seen games switch from a hard-coded UI to (For instance) and XML one. Last time I suggested this (Three years ago) I was flamed into the dirt for even suggesting it. In fact, it almost made me quit the game.
I prefer everything in-line on my game. MP3 players, queued sounds, mini HTML browser, and the list goes on. I dislike having to use external programs to fulfill me.
But that's just me.

I would think they CoN friendly to all creatures. After all, villains want press too.

There is a feature of another MMO that I really enjoyed, and helped my gameplay immensely.
Queue'd sounds. It's very simple. Client-side, a text string is entered, with an appropriate sound to play each time that exact string hits any chat window that you are signed into.
For instance I could have a text string for each time Hasten is recharged, and have it play a simple tone that I have made just for this.
That way when I'm in Dwarf form, I know that my hasten has actually recharged, and isn't sitting on "Just about to recharge." I could even assign it to "You have defeated" so I know when I get the kill-shot, or LFT so I can skip a lot of broadcast BS, and see when someone is LFT. Just let us all custom sounds, and keep it all client-side.
My second suggestion is the one that is always /unsigned. Custom UIs. I love the CoH UI. I do. I just want something... prettier. I'm not asking that we are able to make anything as comprehensive as other MMOs. I just wouldn't mind using all the buttons I've created for the different powers. I made buttons for many power sets, just in case this ever happens.
That's it. Let's see how fast they get torn down.

It's cool. I like it when there's green stuff floating in the pool. I don't trust water that I can't see.

My Bots/FF theme song is Saliva, Click Click Boom

I say do it anyways, D_R. It's always good to have a nice video to drool over.

It'd be interesting if they gave the MM melee attacks. It would certainly be unique, and I don't think it would be totally out of place. In BG mode, a MM is certainly tough enough to punch things in the face.

I think that giving melee powers to MMs would be awesome. It would reinforce that MMs are the one true Redside tanker. -
I'm not sure if it's been said yet, but...
Have they even confirmed that it will be a new set? All I've seen is that a signature character has it. That doesn't mean we will. -
After 20 I respecced out of nova. Dwarf was just what I needed. now in my late 40s, I'm almost glad I don't have Nova. The extra slots have helped.
I have a few macros on my Dwarf bar specifically to drop form and hit a human-form power. The one I use the most is Stygian Circle. But that's not the point of the post.
I'm sick of blasting. I needed to melee. I got both out of my WS. My human-form powers were too awesome to ignore, and my Dwarf (With recent changes) Is better than most scrankers I've played.
So the best thing I can tell you must come in four separate lines:
Just.
Give.
It.
Time.

Thanks everyone. I guess it's time for me to hit the crafting tables.

With eight people, it's hard to go wrong. Even eight tankers with endurance problems usually mow through missions with no issue, unless all eight of them have borked their build.
So really, just about any combination is good.
The one that I have found is hard, is four trollers, with four other people who are dishing out the knockback. Trollers are more powerful when the groups aren't scattered (For the most part.) All that knockback can seriously drop the damage being put into mobs. -
So far my favorite combos on blueside are as follows:
We got the first set to 50 very quickly
Inv/Axe Tanker
MA/Reg Scrapper
We're working on these right now, but it's been a blast.
Dual Peacebringers
Really, this combo is slow, but anyone coming to the team... I mean anyone, makes this set awesome.
Stone/Therm Troller
Plant/Therm Troller -
Global Chat Channel.
Seriously, with a GCC, you can always grab teammates from your SG no matter what server/character they're playing. Say, "Hey, I see that you're on. Can I get ElasticButtMan over here? We've got an AV that only elastic cheeks can handle."
Seriously, it's made things awesome for me. -
I've noticed some pictures that appear to have water in the base.
I haven't been able to find anything that resembles water in the base builder, and the search function gave me no glory.
Can a noob get a tip? -
Last night my PB girlfriend and I were running around about 20 something, just two of us on heroic. Look at us trying to rescue this person with a Cyst nearby. With some luck and fancy flying, the Cyst dies, we kill the rest of the spawn, job well done.
Then we had three ambushes hit us. The first ambush was uneventful. The second AND THIRD ambush had void seekers in it.
The game hates us. -
I have found nothing in the game that I cannot tank effectively as an invuln. I've also found that there is very little that I can't pull aggro from.
Go invuln for survivability. Go with the Shield if you're looking for the incredibly gratifying power: Shield Charge. -
I swear to god, though. Void stalkers should not end up in the Rogue Isles for at least a year. Nobody is going to expect Kheldians there.
NOBODY.
THIS MEANS YOU, CASTLE! -
So I love my tanker dearly. When SB starts getting thrown around, the entire team cheers for SB! YAAAAY SB!
So I wanted to be the hero, and rolled a Kin. MA'd him up to SB. Now I want to delete him. He can't solo for [censored], and seriously everyone just wants SB.
So when they start [censored] about SB, I stop using other powers, and for some reason the team slows down, or doesn't perform.
As my tanker I do love SB. Why? For crowd control. If my taunt comes back faster, it'll help me be sure that every mob is on me. Aggro is something I'm very conscious about. But seriously, the only thing I want SB for is to get my taunt back faster.
On my Kheldian's Dwarf form, or my Stone Brute, I want SB just so I can move at a decent speed, nothing more.
Seriously, Kins, I feel your pain. 1/8th of your playtime shouldn't be getting grief about trying to have the fun. I've come to the point where every SB is giving away my fun, and the question they're actually asking is:
Gimme your fun plz!
Gimme your fun plz!
Gimme your fun plz!
Gimme your fun plz!
Why aren't you giving me all your fun? I want to have fun!
Gimme your fun plz! -
I seriously doubt they'll give us PPP's. But we'll see.
Yeah, my girlfriend and I have dualing level-pacted PBs (Which rocks, btw), and we'll go evil for sure. -
I'm glad this time around is better for you.
From what I've found, WS and PB are the most deleted characters. I wonder if the devs log that.
So seriously, just stick with it. No matter how bad it gets, just keep the WS rolling.
Eventually you will realize how independent you are, yet how awesome you are to the team.
And then you'll hit a cyst.
