No restrictions on offensives Bru. Like S.H.I.E.L.D the supergroup will be called Shield Police, a specially organized team of citizens trained for basic community policing, like PCSO's but with more authority and with super-powers. Thought it'd be nice to keep the backstory simple, natural and open enough for everyone.

I am now being banned for editing my own pages. I think that is going a bit too far don't you think?!

Disciplinary actions have only been fully implemented. Your ban is for 10 weeks, for forcing edits onto others. -
No restrictions in powers, just be police. Although preferably shielded and uniformed. I think its important that players develop a sense of team ownership so everyone should feel free to do what they want with their heroes. Activity - I'm thinking we do missions whenever we're online, with whomever is online, but on a specific day of each week, we all gather for Task Forces, say Friday night?

RIP is a great idea Sprawler. About the blasters, as I've mentioned in the Shield Police thread on the roleplaying forums, the theme centers around Shield Officers but also incorporates other powered policemen, ie snipers.

I notice he's been banned again.

I don't know why it's not a perma ban.

Sprawler, your retired page will be attended to soon, on the next maintenance sweep. Eric's idle thumb has been an annoyance recently but the situation has been addressed. He won't be allowed to contribute for the remainder of this year and I believe most of his forced edits have now been reversed. I apologise again on his behalf for the misappropriate 'helping out'. -
Its not limited to Shields Heroes, just centered around them. This is my first proper hero SG project and I'd hate to close the doors on other powered police officers. In fact, if you think about the wave of riot-shielded police heroes bound to invade Atlas Park with the new shields sets, police uniforms, etc why not band together?
-
On this thread Shield Police in the Union Heroes forums I introduced the idea of a Police Themed Supergroup centered around Shields Powerset. It'll likely be a roleplaying group supported by other players. Interested?
-
With issue 13 around the corner, how many of us shield lovers would be interested in a free-form superteam but based on a SWAT or PPD theme? I picture one or more teams of shield-clad officers, uniformed in costume. It would be a superb team, mainly because the shield sets compliments a phalanx play-style so well. Of course that plexi-glass riot shield coupled with a police nightstick and the new police uniform, is just so cool, en-mass!
-
That is a fantastic idea Zero. Union Legends, a story arc featuring the community's veteran heroes and villains! Roleplayers like myself would love to contribute. Also, thanks for the honorable mention Arete. I agree with those already mentioned, for the reasons mentioned!
-
One of Ghostie's villains have already been highlighted in the past and Last Laugh has no image, so the third nomination wins, congratulations Isabelle Savage!
-
As previously nominated, Liberty Girl will be November's Highlighted Hero! Its a powerful page and an exciting read, so thank you and congratulations! Now we need to decide a good villain page, any suggestions?

In my time I've seen about 23 such 'crash from the sky' situations.

This city definately needs an AA flying school 'cos that's a lot of face-planting skydivers. *punchline* -
Thanks guys. Been up all night feeding and cleaning. I think I'm going to need one of you lovely friends to join me and help me out in hosting the show. Gladiators Fight Club is evidently an enjoyable community event and I wish I wasn't so busy, but I think it'll have to happen this way to keep the fight club running. Having said that, I'm not leaving so I'll certainly be around when I can. So, any volunteers? You only need to fabricate an in-character referee and be present Saturday evenings to make the speech and pair up fighters. You don't have to record footage really. Besides, I think it'll be good to have more than just one referee. Thoughts?
-
I couldn't make it in-game to host this week's fights guys. Damsel and I were rather excitedly rushed to Kings in an ambulance concerning this beauty. Thanks to all that came by though, we'll spar next Saturday.

Mechano's spiritual awakening failed for some unknown reason. What remained of the psychic hero could only be re-animated as zombie. However, it would appear his heroic efforts had not gone in vein. Though he had failed to reach the heroes telepathically, though he had failed to detain the recklessly dangerous Dr. Mechano, the hostages were now safe and the maniac was neutralized. A hero had fallen but the day had been saved.
-
I want to run and win those codes so I'll be there if I can but I may just be in the delivery ward with Damsel.

Autumnfox had put out the flames on Pious' skin but the burns had engulfed him for too long, charred bone and muscle were exposed in places, incinerated flesh hung loosely by the threads. The man needed urgent medical analysis, but one thing was certain. The soldier was irreversably dead.
-
Pious' uniform caught fire, then the smell of rotten flesh filled the air. The fallen hero, unconscious, helpless.
-
Mechano's force blast threw the psychic hero off his feet and across the room where he landed hard on his backside. The jolt of pain hit home and Pious launched himself quickly back to his feet, only to be met by a barrage of energy blasts from Mechano's machines. He was knocked back onto his backside again and again until finally, a concentrated laser beam struck Pious square in the forehead, burning a hole through the top of his skull. With a loud thud, the brave hero fell to his knees, bleeding uncontrollably.
-
"Momo, Calm and Captain Fireflash" Pious called down the corridors. "A hero called Holly Steel has been taken hostage, keep an eye on her, she may be able to help us. Take every advantage you can to get in there and pull out the hostages, thier safety is our number one priority! I'm not sure Jake Anderson is here yet, but until he arrives, its up to you two Efranof and Justice Deliveress to take down Mr Maniacal and the surrounding hellions. Mechano will be my responsibility." Pious chased Mechano again and began assaulting his machines.
-
"Mechano, this is a rescue team of eight heroes, I think we can handle one maniac without you and your madness complicating everything. You're responsible for two attacks on this City and you really think I'd let you walk away after showing yourself in public. You might as well have walked into a Police Station when you flew here. By the power invested in me, I'm placing you under citizen's arrest until the proper authorities can detain you. Stay right here and do not make a move, understand?" Pious screamed.
He turned around and sent a telepathic message to his fellow heroes "Do not be alarmed, the voice you're hearing is a friendly telepathic message. My name is Pious Hunter, ex-supersoldier and licensed Paragon City hero. I need to emphasis the importance of our mission here. There are six defenceless people held hostage by one man and a company of hellion thugs. He has been identified as a Mr Maniacal, super-powered, armed and highly dangerous bordering insanity. Now I have a plan to get the hostages to safety so listen attentively. Efranof, Jake Anderson, Momo Serizawa, Justice Deliveress, Holly Steel, Captain Fireflash and Calm. Respond 'yes' in a loud thought if you have received this message and agree to team up with me." -
"Father Micheal?" said Pious, "why does everyone in this City keep calling me that?" He notices the mad scientist marching off with his machines and speedily chased after him, he eventually reaches the warehouse corridors and skids to a halt in the Doctor's path. "I'm not letting you go anywhere Mechano, except jail. Whether or not you go in bruised and battered, however, is up to you." Pious remained passive to encourage a surrender.
-
Pious shielded himself behind a wooden crate as bits of wood and debris came flying by. He peered above and could not believe what he was looking at. An army of machines had attacked the building, commanded by Doctor Mechano himself. "What on Earth is going on here?" he asked himself. "Hey!" he screamed, trying to get the machinist's attention.
