This roleplay thread is a character orientated plot and involves mainly the people in her life. Rated PG13 for violence. Enjoy the read!
Chapter One: The Wandering Clone
A netherworld known to many as the seventh void. A place of dry land and desert climate. A man in a purple-blue lycra suit with yellow stripped patterns wanders through the barren lands without purpose or direction. He staggers about, struggling to summon enough energy to take his next step forwards. As beads of sweat broke out from within his costume, the man gives in and risks removing his helmet. He lifts off the reinforced plastic and reveals smooth brown skin and a handsome shaven face with sharp eyes and slick, jet-black hair.
In the distance, he thought he could see a makeshift hut built near an oasis. Worn out and dehydrated from his long walk, the man rushes off towards the oasis. In his mind he pictured the sweet beautiful sensation of fine water flowing down his sandy throat and quenching the burning fire in his aching lungs. So close to the water, the man trips on a thread of wire and falls face first into the desert sand. In the corner of his eye he saw something big and sharp falling at a high speed from the palm trees above. A quick and deadly flash of steel was the last thing he ever saw. -
I'll take the moon disc. Reverend Pious now has that whole Nighthunters theme going and the moon disc would be greater attuned to his magic and his willpower I think. Talking about locations, might I suggest the small but picturesque rocks of Sirca Island? Of course, Peregrine is also a good choice. The decision is yours to make.
As for reasons to be there in-character, is it okay with you if Pious has one of his precognitive dreams and learns of the history thus far? You know, Magnus' attempts to open the master gateway, Drade's death, the descent of his spirit orbs, the Hunters Guild and Master Dark, the nine runic discs, the keystone disc and finally the plan to ressurect Drade by ceremonial rite?
The reason being, this knowledge would inevitably lead Pious to turn up and want to help bring back Drade, who he would identify as an innocent target of death and a victim of fate who has now been presented with a second chance at life. -
If we're doing this RP on Tuesday evening, I'd be glad to participate and have the Reverend pass by.

"And I am Reverend Pious Micheal Hunter" said Pious, stepping forward and offering the old man a handshake. "You healed up pretty quickly Mister Norman" he commented, genuinely impressed. A russling noise from inside the forest announced the arrival of a frightened an overcautious Mayor Gordon Bower, escorted by the Estonian researcher and followed by Mrs Norman who was pulling along a large old wooden box on wheels.
"Father" said the old man, greeting the reverend respectfully. "Ava, Hellskeeper, Desert Princess, Hellhog, Damsel and the rest of you up there, your actions tonight have proven you to me as true knights, a band of worthy warriors who have protected this cursed town from the monsters now at our feet. The darkness over this world is a great one my friends, there are more beasts lurking in the underworld than the imagination can fathom, therefore I ask you, I beseech you, to pay me one favour. It is a task that requires great sacrifice, drive and determination.
"Hunters of the night, I have grown too old and too weak to carry on on this path, I must pass on my burdens, and I choose you as my successors. To go on where I cannot, to seeketh the legions of abomination and yield not to the evil revenant. Nighthunters, your job, should you accept, is to hunt down the demons of this world and vanquish them back to the depths of the great inferno. What say you, friends? Please, what say you?" -
Basically, we're talking about a magic store like Pandora's Box in-game. Private, quiet and almost sacred. The books and artefacts sold are secret, powerful, undefiled knowledge. The Worn Cover is an old building selling old books, with worn out covers sitting on worn out shelving. Hardly the ideal place for a coffee bar, certainly not 'trendy' and I doubt any new writers would be coming in to do book signing, for fear of the crooked once-burnt building collapsing on their heads. Have a look at the wiki entry, as I've now fleshed out most of the history. Except for the ghost.
-
You could even say the Worn Cover bookshop was once set on fire by Hellion arsons (its in Steel Canyon, near Pandora's Box) and the previous owner of the shop was burnt to toast in that fire and died, yet his soul lives on in one of the books, within the pages of his favourite supernatural tales. Maybe he haunts the place to protect it, to keep it from being defiled by new owners... like us. But eventually, thanks to Suraya's pretty face and Ava's charming personality, we win the ghost over to fight by our sides and protect the shop, and the city around it, together!
-
I'm not too fussed about the ghost at this point. I actually thing it's somethign we should look at at a much later time, after we've settled in.

Falling Action - Nathaniel Norman arrives on the scene and helps finish off the giant zombie, Nightmare!
- Clues: The zombies stop coming once Nightmare's heart is pierced and the remaining few will wither away.
- Clues: Nightmare's fallen body also withers, leaving behind burnt rotten bones and hanging bits of dead flesh.
-
Majority rules, Worn Cover it is then. Eric and I will go write a location wiki page. Anchor us into the Unionverse foundation.
-
Yeah lets do it. Sorry about the sole highschool statement, that's malpractice in RP so I'll go change that. Feel free to write Tam into the Skyway High wiki page and if you want to do any highschool RP, I'll PM you the forum address. Would hate to shout it out loud on here and later find the place infected with bots, know what I mean?
-
Yeah I think I like the Worn Cover. Lets see if something better comes along. I think we'll stick with the "old magic bookstore" feel and place it somewhere in Steel Canyon. We don't need it on a university campus anymore, if we're going independent.
-
Quote:Skyway City High is a dateless forum RP with a flexible timeline to allow participants to play any of their favourite characters, at their school age.I was playing my teens going to Bengermin High... but I'm curious what other high schools are in paragon, and the isles for that matter.

Quote:VRRMM, vrrrmm, vrmmmmmm.Hellskeeper flashed Rachel a big grin and pulled her Axe from the air. "Pick a tree and I will cut you one ..bigger the better i say ..then if it dont work it will nail the B'strd to the ground .." Hellskeeper gave the Axe a twirll and looked around at the trees...
The biker man reved his engines and pulled the Fallen's heavy chains with fearsome force, yanking the giant zombie boss clean off his feet. His descent seemed to take forever, as though time itself had slowed to a crawl. Each drop of rain fell so slowly one might have looked closely and seen his own reflection, so quietly and so peacefully that each drop of water could have been gently brushed aside by a hand. Then suddenly, out of the woods came a tall, shadowy figure who moved with such grace, such confidence and such practised ease that his grande entrance alone attracted the attention of every man present. As he raced towards the beast, he ducked low and grabbed a big piece of log which had been cut sharp by the fiery axewoman, leapt high into the air and allowed the giant zombie to fall chest-first into it. With a ground-shattering thud, the monster fell defeated, it's champion dramatically rolled out from beneath and leapt into a triumphant pose. "Night Hunters" he growled, his deep voice echoing through the forest. "I am Nathaniel Norman, once known as the Demon Slayer."
Thunder struck, followed by lightening, and the old man's face came into view. He wore a long dark trenchcoat and heavy boots. His waistcoat sported an arsenal of knives and daggers, two pistols and a shotgun, slung dangerously across his belt. "I believe 'bout an hour ago, you folks saved my life. For that, I'll be forever grateful," said the old man, tipping forward his duster hat as a gesture of gratitude. "What are all ya names?" -
Oh man, why didn't I think of that. I have to say Eric, you come up with some great ideas at times. I was up literally all through the other night tinkering with the base editor trying to make sense of that 1st floor. Nothing came to me, nothing at all and I just went to bed upset. LOL.
I have concluded that I'm just no good with bases.
A bookstore "facade" is excellent, then below it, our hidden basement/hideout/library/magical artefacts and trophies vault/slash whatever else we think of later. No ideas yet on a shop name, but Suraya and even Talenar would make excellent keepers.
CB, that sounds fine to me. Maybe Lastwatch can leave us a note saying she needs to go away for a while, sort out some things. That way, you could bring her into plots later as an distant member, like Wolverine to the X-men. Maybe even as an NPC. She's just too badass to write off CB.
Your new RP alt who happens to be Talenar's friend can join us whenever. I'm sure Mayor Bower can arrange an amulet for her. -
I assume most people have become too busy since our posting speed seems to have slowed way down. Before we completely run out of creative juice, I hope you don't mind me moving the Seeketh story along, ready for it's predestined conclusion.

Okay, weekends bad. Wednessday and Thursday evening was good for everyone last week, shall we just do this that same time next week?

As the Nighthunters wiki page says, we always encourage others to join our team in aim of winning the war against Evil. We look forward to meeting you in-character, in-game. Is everybody free this Saturday evening? I think it's about time we provoked a Giant Monster! Try our strength, find one, fight it, reduce it to a pulp and then maybe finish the night with a mission or two. How about Kraken? What do you think?

Quote:*squidges his lips tight and struggles to run away* "hmmf! hhhmmmmf!"...*hands Pious his meds... or at least someone's meds* <_<
*cough* Yay! We're back! Thank you Kay, Alwaysaprice, tech guys and everyone else involved.
Now, I must implore everyone on the Unionverse wiki to please back up their pages. Copy the data onto your PC or SG forums, or something. -
Suddenly, the monster sprung to animation, swinging his arms about wildly in search of his unhinged head, which had been kicked and blown off onto the forest floor. Frustrated, the giant pulled up his arms and brought them crashing earthwards with ground shattering force. The loud noise alone made Pious' heart skip a few beats. Awe struck, he watched as the undead elite boss leapt out from under the ground, bringing his oversized feet just inches from the reverend's face. The stink of rotten flesh was overwhelming and decomposing toenails so long and unkept, they looked about ready to claw the heroes into butchered meat. Blind and headless, the abomination began stomping clumsily about the forest, apparently still searching for his head. "You have got to be kidding me" said Pious, now out of ideas. "Guys, for obvious reasons, this... thing must'nt reach town, so if anyone else has got a plan, now would be the time to share it. I got the feeling we'll need to think as a team to fall this one."
-
Oh heavens! It is good to finally hear something, thank you great messenger, thank you for letting us know! People of the Unionverse, our handbook has indeed fallen, but behold, the helping hands of the tech guys, gods among men! Let us impart well wishes and good fortune to his humble excellency, wiki overlord Kadekawa, may he salvage our precious memories and ressurect our book of life on Union. Amen my brothers, amen!
*cough* I'm relieved to hear that, Always, thank you. *cough* -
So many to choose from, Militia Accused, Search for the Dragon Sabre, Silent Tempest's Hand of A, Pistol's Reign of Terror, Birth of Evil, Heroes for People, Lunk's Rikti Council of War, Friday Night Talkshow with Tracey Lionheart and Maximillion, Wedding of Eric and Suzi Mitchell, Baptism of Edward Mechano, Infinitron Going Rogue, Gladiators' Pocket D Fight Club, mine and Hatesman's Lords arc, PRIEST Comics plots...
Mechano's disastrously entertaining meeting with The Court, The Gang and The Coorporation. Britanic's Supremacy Plot, Chronodyne Drugwave, Thug's Mansion RP thread, Moth Cathedral RP thread, Riot in King's Row, New World Alliance's recent crimewave and even the Midnight Illuminati's Secret War... oh wait, that hasn't happened yet. Seriously, I think my most memorable RP moment has to be Lunk's Council of War...
Probably because it worked so well with the actual in-game Rikti Invasion and both events played off each other to create an enjoyable, entertaining and believable plot that lots of people (and in a way, everyone) got involved in. Hmm, we should do something like this again, a community-wide RP event that coincides with the Going Rogue story. *Goes off to thought-shower* -
