  1. My internet connection's being a bit screwy atm, so I think I better drop out and leave the place for someone else
  2. Count me in with Nina (BS/Regen scrapper).

I'm just tired of finding ###/Kinetic who take Transfusion and Repel ONLY!

...and then the entire medicine pool...

    Thugs/*

    Poison probably...

What about 1 more Recharge and 1 more Fear in that power ?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd try to get a second accuracy in there as you don't have tactics. Say 2Acc/2Fear/2Recharge.

    [ QUOTE ]
Is'nt Dark Servant a pet you summon and that follow you through mission til it dies ? It stays here a certain amount of time and then vanish ?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It disappears after a certain amount of time. With no recharges it is recastable pretty much exactly when it dissapears. Personally, I like having 1 recharge in there, just to give me a litle leeway.

    [ QUOTE ]
Otherwise thanks again for the great help !
    Much appreciated

    [/ QUOTE ]

    No problem
  6. I'd go for Petrifying Gaze myself. Slotted up it can take a LT out of the fight, and come I7, the patron pools will give you another hold, so together you should be able to perma-hold a boss
  7. Well, if you've still got room, count me in - preferably as Nina, but if you need a troller, I'm happy to bring Crystal
  8. [ QUOTE ]
Dark servant requires 3 recharges to make perma for MM's, and AFAIK this applies to corruptors as well.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nope. Perma out of the box
  9. More defener than blaster, but with dark/dark, it's kinda hard to go the other way round. Thats not to say I can't kick some [censored] if needed though...
  10. [ QUOTE ]
Okay cool, have you had any experince with the dark/dark corruptor in pvp? if yes, how is it?

And the pet you were talking about, is it to any use for us?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not done a lot of PvP, but from my experience it's rather so-so. You lack massive burst damage, which limits your killing ability. Still, I wasn't useless, especially on large team battles. If you're after a PvP monster though, look elsewhere (I've heard very good things about Ice/Cold, though as I said, my experience is limited)

As to Fluffy - as the pet is known - he's pretty good. Has Twilight Grasp (PBAE heal), Darkest Night (Acc/damage debuff), Petrifying Gaze (hold) Tenebrous Tentacles (cone Immob.) and Chill of the Night (PBAE Acc debuff - ever stood next to a CoT demon lord?). So, pretty much a mini version of you. Really needs to get into melee though - both to get CotN working, and so he takes damage, as he won't heal unless he's hurt. Oh, and contrary to what some people say, he can be kept out permanently (provided you remember to recast him )

Thanks, like the sound of the dark/dark combination, can anyone say something about that?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Excellent choice

The dark primary is on the low end of corr primarys when it come to damage, but it's still perfectly decent, plus you get a nice acc debuff from the attacks (particularly useful with your two cones), while the dark secondary is just plain awesome. In terms of pure damage mitigation, it's as good as you can get, though again, the offensive side isn't spectacular (Tar Patch is very good, but it can't compare to , say, a /Rads def and res debuffs, or a /kins damage and rech buffs). A big plus for me is that there's lots of different types of powers - you're not stuck doing just one thing - you can debuff, buff, heal, control, blast (both single target and AE), *and* you've got a pet . Soloing is a little slow - though safe - but teams will love you (even the RUH34L3R? lot can complain too much, as you have an awsome heal)

    BS/Regen build.

O.k. taking something and using it constantly in your chain is different Yes Whirling sword is nice for some AoE damage but there's no way i'd include it in a normal attack chain, especially not with Parry aswell. Broadsword is about dealing as much damage as possible to clear one target from infront of you as quickly as possible, and then move onto the next, that's how I see it anyway, and I make my builds accordingly

    [/ QUOTE ]

My attack chain depends completely on what I'm fighting. Tough mobs (eg purple bosses)? Lots of parrys, disembowel and headsplitter. Keeps em on their backs most of the time, and when they do get off an attack, it usually misses. Small numbers of foes (soloing minions/lts)? HS, Disembowel, Hack, Parry. Great single target damage, with a nice def boost to keep any damage away. Lots of mobs (teams really) HS, Diembowel, WS, Slice. Doesn't drop the single target damage much, but shoots the total damage through the roof if I can get good positioning. And sometimes, I'll do some other chain if the circumstances require (for example, if for some reason I had to tank for a group - which I can do for smaller groups - I'll use parry, Slice and WS, to boost my def and hit as many mobs as possible)

    PvE, MA or BS?

    [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
BS might be a little offputting early on - you don't have many attacks, and those you have take a while to recharge, but darn does it kick donkey later on. 3 AE powers (Whirling Sword, Slice and Head Splitter - yes, the extreme damage level 32 power is an AE attack, albiet one with a limit of 5 victims) as well as awsome single target killing ability, and Parry, which, come I7, will be able to put you over the effective cap of 45% defense.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Um...my BS/Rgn scrapper has had a 4-attack chain (excluding brawl) going since L10 (might even have been L8, I forget). Hack/Slice/the melee cone AoE (I forget the name, can't be bothered to look it up) and Parry. In fact, the problem has been fitting in all of the available options early on (haven't had time to take Build Up or Dull Pain yet, as of L13, because of needing Hasten for SS at 14).

So I would hardly class BS as 'offputting early on'

    [/ QUOTE ]

    A) Slice *is* the melee cone
    B) Slash, the power I guess you meant when you said slice, it crap. Pure and simple. Complete waste of a power. Especially as you're having problems fitting things in.

Now, I admit the Hack-Parry-Slice-Parry chain is reasonably complete, but I've met people who can't even get to level 8 'cos of the slowness of the attacks...

    BS/Regen build.

For a Broadsword attack. Whirling Sword does naff damage even with the minor dot.

    [/ QUOTE ]

On one target perhaps. But when you're hitting 10+ the damage is huge. For a soloist, yeah, it's not worth it, but if you're teaming, it's a great power.
