Quote:Possible solution to this if there is a season 2 would be to have any important "decision" or event (such as the draft) performed by a non biased disinterested party. You could request a PERC officer or possibley a mod, or just someone that the captains agree on to do the draft order # picks etc. Just a thought to maintain the apearence of equality. Also CityofChange makes a very valid point re D6, more time then 1 week to get toons built would be more welcoming to new/casual PvP'rs. The updater spash screen has no "sign up by x date" and is still there, a date on that ad might be a good idea for next time. (nice job getting that btw I know they stoped doing that)Are you willing to join the PVPEC and run things because if not this is a moot point.
You are entitled to your opinion. I am not stepping down from either and Captains opinions are the only relevant ones anyways. Furthermore who the hell thinks its fair for us to do all these months of work and not get to particpate in whatever capacity we want to? On a side note Peril is not a Captain of a team and he is the one this drama has to do with so these points are not relevant to the topic.
If any of you complaining about the PVPEC being Captains would like to step up and join the PVPEC to help then I might consider changing who is running things. Until then we have no one else active enough that wants to. Really the PVPEC ***** fest is getting old. NOT ONE SINGLE ONE OF YOU EVEN REMOTELY ATTEMPT TO DO ANYTHING PRODUCTIVE IN REGARDS TO GETTING PVP EVENTS SUCH AS THIS OFF THE GROUND. The fact that you have the nerve to ***** and complain and have done nothing productive to make crap happen for the community looks way worse than me or peril being allowed to Captain teams if we want to.
All that said this is an enourmous undertaking and I am sure alot of time went into it, so for that thank you. Since this is the first undertaking and it is such a large event there are bound to be issues, drama (duh it's PvP), and problems. I do think PvPEC rep should be able to participate in something they put so much work into. I think that as a group if there is going to be a season 2 look at what worked and what didn't and iron things out.
All in all i am really glad I signed up I love my team and have learned so much from them already. I can say that my team did exactly what they where suposed to regarding the D6 even to their own detriment. They sacrificed alot of their own scheduled practice time to teach us and make sure we got practice. If the other teams D6 are getting as much help/training as we are then the D6 portion of the league will be a great success. -
You'll find the people playing this game more friendly and willing to help. Also unlike WoW there are teams to be found at all levels you don't have to solo grind if you don't want to, cause everyone is raiding or doing the dailies on their 80.

Welcome to the game
I would sugest saying hi on the server forum that you made your toon on and also join that servers main global channels. If you post your server i am sure you will get some assistance there.
Have fun! -
Let's see a few questions regarding the food. Price range and type to start. Also where are you going to be in center city?
The Mutter Museum is really not well known about but really cool. It's a museum of medical oddities.

I love walking through the reading terminal
http://www.readingterminalmarket.org/
The Flower show is going on that's usually amazing
http://www.theflowershow.com/ShowInfo/index.html
Then the usual torist stuff:
Liberty bell (in the new independence center thing)
Art Museum, Franklin Institue, Rodin Museum, The Mesonic Temple (might be closed for renovations), and Penn's landing etc.
Well if you tell me where you are going I might come up with more. As well as some good eats places. -

We had a significant number of signups to warrant the 8v8's. Sadly my team and your team seem to be in a bind of fielding that at this moment but the rest of the teams seem to be doing great.
They will be 8v8 and after tomorrows matches we will be dividing up the extra signups to teams that need them.
You could make a rule change proposal but being no other team seems to be having d6 problems not sure if you would get a majority vote in support of it.
I'm confused 50% of the league (3 teams at least) don't have enough to do 8v8 so how was it warented? I get that the number of draft entries did maybe, but draft entries =/= to actual team members. Why not leave it 6v6 until the late entries are given to the low population D6 teams to fill them out? Is someone absolutly pushing for 8v8, seems you are just punishing teams who lost members in the D6. If you put inexperienced PvP'rs in a stacked and unfair match you will just push them away from PvP rather than encourage it. I thought the D6 team idea was to give people new to PvP a positive enviorment to get invoved in organized PvP. -

Quote:HeheYeah, I know, Moooooom.
Actually, I just brought over a 50 MM from Infinity. I'll take her through Warburg and grab some nukes, and Bloody Bay for some Shivans this week and then try and make my first villain raid next week.
My brute is 39, so he's getting there, as well.
Also Yay! -
Actually he has moved in the villian side raids on Justice. Which you would know if you finally finished your villian *hint hint, nudge nudge*

I keep telling you to wear deoderent, but do you ever listen to me....

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the purpose of the d6 team is to teach PvP n00bs, like myself, how a real ladder and team PvP is played. Divine is doing just that. If you aren't teaching your d6 nooblets how real team PvP works prepare to get wrecked.
I took the purpose of the D6 team as a way for people new to PvP to get involved with organized PvP in a non intimidating more relaxed maner. Also to give these same people access to experienced PvP'rs to learn techniques.
Not sure kicking people before the first match has even taken place is the right message to send to new PvP'rs. But what do i know i am a carebear. -

I'm curious at your choice of wording here. Could you elaborate how farming for PvP IO's break the drop rate? I could see how they would skew the data but not actually break the drop rate. I would think that was predetermined by the devs. Although i didn't understand what castle said about teams getting drops so maybe your refering to that.

-
Please read up on statistics, 1:200 =/= 1 every 200, very simple principle that not many seem to get. Your having good luck statistically. When people say the drop rate is broken they are basing it on multiple experiences from multiple people. From ones that farm all night and get 0 drops to ones like you that get drops frequently and with low kill numbers. Please read up on the principles of Probability, Population sampling, and odds, before determining from you 2 experiences that the drop rate is not broken. Thank you.

Quote:To be fair you didn't see it happen you saw your friend drop it into chat I would assume. The only one who could "see it happen" was the toon that got the drop.i do not disagree with you, yet i have to go with what i saw.
again, i saw it, and it happened. be the rational person like i intend to be and check it out.
maybe someone with a red name could positively confirm or deny this possibility.
p.s. lunar hawk (on virtue), if you are out there, you also were witness.
It happened on either saturday or sunday of this past week on virtue in the arena set 47-50. rated. We had about 10 people in that fight. My toon at the time was either breezy sparrowhawk, hot lil number, or elijah blake.
we were broadcasting on the main virtue channels.
why are people so quick to say no if they do not know with 100 percent accuracy?
Also to say it is impossible is cause the drops have specific definitions on where and what mobs/missions/tf they drop for. Purples i believe only drop on lvl 47 and up mobs and only in PvE. There are set pools for drops.
I suppose there is the possibility of a bug which is why i worded my original post to be open but more than likely your friend got it prior and didn't notice and seeing it in his recipies assumed he got it while PvP'ing. -
Thought I saw Jemikins talking in AC last night.

Quote:I am sure this is old news, but we basicly did a rated 30 minute match with 10-12 players, sometimes we had up to 20. I wrote down the names and we each took turns killing everyone in succession. we averaged 1-3 drops as a whole per session. We picked an easy map like atlas and had everyone huddle up. after each person had thier chance, we finished with a free for all. I got me a gladiator recipe i sold for about 53 mil and that funded half of my cheap build. One guy got a purple, which he sold for quite a bit.
wrong or right, we had tons of fun and made serious cash! :-)
I think only PvP IO's drop in arena so he might have gotten the purple before and didn't notice it.
Glad you had fun though that's always a good thing. -
Quote:Like I said my account was unpaid for well over 60 days and i didn't loose my stuff so either it's not 60 days anylonger or it's broken. I think iggy was gone 7+months.I was incorrect.
From Paragon wiki: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Consignment_House
Previously, at the time of server maintenance, any characters not logged in for 60 days would have their consignment items deleted. However that changed with the release of Issue 14 (April 07, 2009).
Characters (on active accounts) who have inventories, bids or items for sale in the Black Market or in Wentworth's Consignment House will no longer have to log into the game within 60 days to avoid item or influence/infamy expiration. In-game Black Market and Wentworth employees will still give their friendly reminder, however if your account is "active", they won't take your "stuff".
Note: The definition of "inactive", now refers to an account whose subscription is no longer paid for. Yet there is still some question as to whether the consignment item deletion for inactive accounts also has the 60 day grace period.
However, the note above might explain what some folks are seeing. For ACTIVE (as in you are paying--doesn't matter if you NEVER log in) accounts you stuff stays there past 60 days. Also it seems (sounds like from the wording) that the deletion won't occur if you pay up on your 59th day. Whether you log in or not.
EDIT: macskull was correct.
edit: to say ty for looking it up and posting -
Quote:Exactly. Just because a statement is false, or even disputed does not make the person making such a statement a liar. Its an unnecessary personalization.
By the same token, if someone is knowingly doing something that would warrant such a course of action or is privy to that, why would they call attention to it to begin with? There are a lot of reasons, but none of them make any sense when threatened with potential sanction. I charge it with a mistake in user judgment, but that doesn't absolve the fact that anyone making a claim they know is outrageous should expect such a claim to be challenged and/or questioned.
True one would expect the "no wai" challenge and i am sure they did, but i don't think any said they actually used the exploit only know of it. Though the fact that one person already deleted a post for fear of saying too much should show that there is a certain caution.
I wasn't saying you can't say "no wai", just don't ever expect to get your proof. No one would risk it just to appease ney sayers there is no logic/benefit in doing so.
General message: You don't have to believe it, but just because a large part of the player base doesn't know an exploit exhists doesn't make it BS. I have not seen any of these farms nor do I know the exploit. I do however know the people in this thread talking about it and trust that they are being honest and accurate.
