Also, welcome back. Now maybe the Virtue TFs channel ingame will be moderated again.

Greetings and salutations everyone. I've been lurking for a while, but never posted in these threads before.
  2. Welcome to Virtue, enjoy your stay!

JUST cause there are so many complainers on this server I went to the Pocket D and posted in open chat a BDSMish post in local and quickly logged off after ( incapacitated by the giggles )

Coincidentally I did this as a dare and also won a little over $40 USD because the person who dared me was fervently convinced that I was too sheepish and easily embarrassed to do it.

May have killed my reputation among that crowd but it was still pretty funny ( though I wish now I had stayed around to see the reactions )
    That is so freaking awesome

If you're dual boxing, couldn't you just transfer the inf from character to character?

  8. So, what powers would I be able to sacrifice in the above build so I can get Hasten & SS? (darn pesky RP'er that I am, SS fits his concept!)

Aren't those see-through from the bottom?
  10. <QR>

So I rolled up a new toon the other day, and in 5 levels of playing, I've only sold my salvage drops and the large inspirations you get in the tutorial. (That's why I do the stupid thing!) I have netted close to 1 mil inf just from doing that. At level 5, is 989k inf a good total?
  11. Ugh! We have to wait a whole week to team up again?
  12. I don't save Percy Winkley. Or Fusionette. They're both twits and really should go get kidnapped together.

    To Suspicious_Pkg:

They don't offer fios in the city of Philadelphia yet just in the burbs and i think it will be awhile before they do. The fios tech i talked to said they will have to dig up alot of streets to lay the cable. I would love it if I could get fios.
Oh I see ... Well maybe I really should look into them! Thanks PG

Also, I wasn't aware we can't get FiOS in Philly. But, with the digging up the streets, I can see why we don't have it.
  16. Ok, I have to throw a few songs in here ... And be warned: I'm showing my age here lol

1st: Among The Living - Antrax

2nd: Go N' Breakdown - Suicidal Tendencies (oh yeah BEST scrapper theme ever)

    quick question

I was thinking of Verizon. Comcast has been booting my internet for the past few days, which in turn also cuts my phone service (I also have Comcast digital voice), and I need to reset my modem to get the service back on. This really slurps when I'm in the middle of a TF or some such thing. Either of you experience loss of service like that with Verizon?

    quick question

Just a quick question here. Does anyone here play CoH using a DSL cable connection? I'm curious because I have Comcast cable internet, but was thinking of switching service providers for my internet. Is there much of a difference, performance-wise?

Good point. I like that idea.

The scheduled times are each Thursday at 9pm ET, playing 2 hour session weekly. We are a team of mutants, led by Maximilian Gold and we are looking for a blaster and scrapper, of mutant origin to join. Let me know if you are interested.

The idea is to play content, radios for temp powers as agreed upon by the team. We really want to get through the content, which might involve using Ouroboros at higher levels. Let me know if you are interested.

Sorry, Goldy. Had to fix that for ya. YOu made it look like we run weakly, not weekly. I know it was a simple typo, but I had to correct it!

Also, I have a name for the SG already. The Gold Corp. Simple and to the point. I like it.

  22. I don't have one for sale, but you might also want to add which server you're on ...

    Good luck!
  23. So basically, I shouldn't post for anything less than my lowest acceptible price.

Factor in (ballpark at least), time in transaction slot before selling, sold dates
on the previous 5, and how much you really care about getting the "best" price.

Also, consider "best" price in the context of your current bankroll. If you have
50M on hand, and you could get 100K for a piece of salvage - is it really worth
taking a slot for a day or so (possibly) to sell it - or would 5K now and an
empty re-usable slot be a better plan?

For anything you crafted - *always* build in a profit margin.... You should
never take a loss on that item (if you did, you either don't care, or you
didn't do your homework and due diligence before crafting it).

Finally, there is always a tradeoff between price and time-in-slot. In general,
the faster your transaction slots turn-over, the more influence you make,
but the higher you price items, the longer they sit. The lower you price them,
the less you make per individual transaction, but the faster they sell.

Of the two, I find the latter is usually better simply because most buyers will
pay more than you asked, and since your price is lower, they buy your item first.
This is generally easier than trying to squeeze the highest possible price out
of an item without going too high and/or getting undercut by other sellers.

Where you should set that tradeoff is at the cutoff point where you'd say
"that's ok" if someone paid exactly what you asked for your item...

    Hope those ideas help.

    Regards,
    4
Great advice there I think I'm starting to understand this a little ...
