Np Hems.
and to answer Graver, I think I'm gonna leave them off. I really don't want to obscure THemily's Assassin's cuteness. I could put in some stubs and make them look like she cut them off with her katana. Hems is a katana/ something isn't she? I thought I saw a pic of her in leather with a katana at one point. Could be mistaken, though. That happens quite often.

Well, I've been busy...playing sports. I joined a indoor soccer team on tuesdays to go with Rollerhockey on Wednesdays, so its bitten into my sketching time. I also learned that playing soccer uses completely different leg muscles than hockey, and I also sprained my ankle.
Anyway, I did get back into it last night, and made this.
Can you guess who it is? No fair looking at the pic name. It's just a rough sketch, so I may fix a few problems (like the top of second bar from the left looks bent) that I now see in it later.
I hope whoever it is, likes it. Now you can add "I dance" to your avatar.
Oh, and good news, for me anyway. I ordered a wacom graphire4 6x8 last night. woot!

I'm not a professional or anything but, I'll trade ya a pic of my main Pep Rally, for a drawing of yours. check my sig for a link to some of my drawings, and let me know if you are interested.

Hope "Hopeless" Sandoval is my lvl 25 necro/dark MM. She is a pirate ghost that terrorized the carribean 200 years ago. Pep Rally's ascestor helped capture her, and she was subsequently hanged. Vowing revenge, she now returns from the grave every hundred years and cannot rest again until she has killed the youngest descendent of the man that caused her downfall, which just happens to be Pep who is not so easily killed. Hopeless has called back her crew by using black magicks to assist her evil machinations. They are known as, Scurvy, Stinky Pete, Bootstrap, Willie Dirt, and Rot Gut.

Makes me really curious about how well done the real pieces you're working on will turn out.

Look around you, Sarrate. Thats actually a backdrop drawn by AK. You are actually on a space station in outer space millions of miles from Earth. Thats how good AK's "real" drawings are. Kinda blows your mind, don't it?
And AK, can you return that Atari 2600 controller to the Legendaries' game room, I want to play space invaders later.

I'll hit you up for an art trade later on in the week Foo , gotta finish inking pep rallys piece first

Yeah, what she said! -
I have 2 brutes.
On champion my fire/fire is names Ashen Riot ans he's a punk rocker from jolly olde England.
and I moved my nrg/nrg over to Virtue as an elec/elec. His names Mechadeth, and he's just a big red robot from outer space out to kill all humans. Nobody has been able to take a picture of it, and escape with their life.

I never traced, but a couple years ago I did recreate just by looking at an image.
Example:
Original
My Copy
A bit off, but still fun to do.

FLCL FTW!!!
Personally, I've never traced stuff, but that was only because I grew up in a poor family that couldn't afford tracing paper.
I had to settle for staring at comics, and even real people sometimes, when I'd go outside. Yes, I do go outside occasionally. I've gotten some real good visuals of people giving me this look like they were saying "why is this person staring at me?". I'd just try to sketch what I saw with varying degrees of success. I think I've gotten better over the years. I really don't know whats the best way, but thats what I did, and continue to do. Sticking with something, and practice seems to do the trick for most things, not just art. So just keep drawing.

Foo, I don't believe your lies for a second! Transcended time and space!!!?? HA! You murdered your old thread because of my constant threadjacking!! You did it with the help of Mr. Mustard in the Library with the lead pipe!!! You'll never get away with this heinous crime!! I'll be watching you.

Thanks to everyone that's traded with me.

Heh, I actually use an eraser for some of the more subtle effects on my watercolor work. It's great for pulling out hazy or fogy highlights... but ya know, the fact that you'll just erase it doesn't really make me want to paint one and send it to you. You really might wanna rethink yer approach there
[/ QUOTE ]
Dammit! Foiled again!
-Pep -
I think I know them all, except for one of the catgirls.
-
Thanks celsia, thats makes a wacom tablet even more tempting.
Aaron, Im not completely sure, but Im thinkin it could help me color stuff.
And to Graver, I hope you're satisfied. I sacrificed what was left of my sanity to make more scales on my Dragonberry skethc!!!!mwahahahahaha .
And I did use my eraser to make the highlights. I told you my erasing skilz were elite! I can erase anything.Even watercolor. Go ahead. Draw Pep in watercolor and send it to me, I'll erase it.
-Pep *currently being fitted for a straightjacket* -
I really want to get a tablet, too!! I only have an old photo program named, Photo Impact 4.2 tho.
OMG, those scales took me like 2 hours. I think I went a little bit insane, and blurry eyed. Now I know why I don't see many dragon girls in comics, even tho they are really cool.

squeee yours is too awesome, Im going to start inking later tonightYou do really clean pencil work whats your secret
[/ QUOTE ]
I do? It must be my superior erasing skillz. I do spend about 49% of my time erasing what I drew, so only about 2% of what I draw actually ends up on the final picture. I feel like I have to battle to get every line to go where it's supposed to.
I was actually going to ask you how you get your rough sketches to look so great just by themselves. It looks like you did it without erasing at all, and it looks so awesome.
*bows in respect to scarf_girl's art skills*

I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you like my sketch of Dragonberry with scales or without.
I know dragons don't tan, but I figure if she's coldblooded she'd like sitting out in the hot sun.

Dude, that is hilarruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uujhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
uh, what happened...Imust have passed out from laughing so hard. What time is it? oh crap. I was out for like 30 minutes. Next time you better warn people who are prone to seizures, or you could have a lawsuit on your hands.

oooOOOOooooo that's looking right good so far! Although, I'm not sure I understand how masking saves time. I tried that once... took me longer to mask the drawing, put the wash down... put the wash down again because the masking caused the brush to skip over an area, then remove the masking... of course I was using masking tape... so maybe this fluid you speak of might work... hum.
I can't wait to see this one finished. Yay for watercolor!
[/ QUOTE ]
Masking Tape? and that cardboard+ mop nemesis staff idea you gave PMD? ...and you call me low-brow punk?! Rawk on Graver!
-Punk Rock Pep -
Darn, scarf_girl beat me to it!! I guessed them all right, too...really I did. I love the aquarium, especially cuz I'm in it. It's so awesome that you would include me.
I hope you include Atomic Knight in the next one. I really want to see a Robo-fish.
-Pep -
Thanks for posting the video, but man, that is nothing like how I draw. I know it's time lapsed, but he just seems insanely fast and good. My video would be me drawing and redrawing one line for like 20 minutes.
As cool as his stuff looks though, to me, the arms looked a little long and the legs looked kinda short. I'm no expert tho.
Grats on the great art

My plans to whip up a pixel manipulation of Pep have been sidetracked due to work, weather, and life in general, but I WILL finish it eventually. After that then I'll send you reference info and all that for your end of it.

Ok, I finished my Atomic Knight sketch. so now I have KidRaid, Dragonberry, and Hemily. Am I forgetting anyone?
I'm not sure when they'll be done. I'm going away to Maine with my parents, sisters, and 3 nephews from Saturday until Tuesday, so I'll be away from my computer. I'm gonna bring my sketchbook, but I'm not sure how much time I'll have to draw with my nephews attacking me.
Have a fun 4th of July everyone!

And...I finally got my PepSketch (trademark)!

You're just seeing this NOW?!! Jeez, ...slacker! I even put a subtle linky in the Legendaries forums.

[ QUOTE ]
Hey Pep, I do have something I could do for you, but I'd need to make a demofile of your costume data. Any particular time you're usually on?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm usually on at night sometime between 6pm-11pm EST, and weekends anytime.
Today, I'll probably be in game off and on this afternoon until 8pm, then maybe from 12am-3am EST since I'm on vacation.
I could be in game at any time saturday, so let me know whens a good time.
In game, I'm @Pep_Rally. I forget if you need the underscore or its just a space.
This is so cool!!
What toon would you like me to draw? Please give screenies, bio, and personality.
I can't wait!
