Well here is my take (in a simplified version - I know the Patrons have other attacks).
BS - Not much too him really. Just heavy bashing AV.
Mako - A little insane and runs alot. Has that Elude that makes him different. But, in short he is like BS.
Scir - Has very nasty AOEs and can wipe out a number of players in one hit. Plus those tornado pets of his. Personally, I feel he should be first because of that.
GW - Has the dreaded hold and her AOE heals
So if you buff the tank with status protection and he keeps GW taunted at range, GW is covered. Taunting covers Mako and BS, which leaves Scir. He can be taunted too, but the team has to watch his AOEs. In the end, pulling 4 Patrons get you GW at range trying to heal/hold, BS & Mako punching on the tank, and Scir getting taken down. Plus there is no "worry" component. They are coming and that is that - no need to worry about if so-and-so is coming or not, they are.
As for Aeon, I like the flavor the EBs. I wish more AVs had some form of EB reinforcement to spice up the fights.

GP - Glad you had a good time. I still believe pulling all the patrons is the best way to go. I feel it is easier just to prepare for all and then get them. I take a little fault on Aeon in that I should have said be careful on your position and not get aggro. I have seen a number of tanks taken down in the first few moments. He hits very hard. My only comment on running around with GW was that you were going out of my range and my only travel power for now on my emp def is TP. I was worried I would be able to keep you buffed and healed. And those named bosses are down the hall from the tree room, so we did skip by them.
I think with some more buffing like from ice or therm, a MSTF run would very doable. A therm would be great since we switch out the emp def and bring in another debuffer like a dark def. -
Fine either time. I will be just collecting some merits or XP, depending on the toon. I will watch VF channel for any changes or if you are starting to form up.

I searched everywhere and can't find it but someone, I think on Champion, does a quick STF where they pull GW, Sirrocco, Mako and BS all at once. They also do this as a Master of, but they said with Nukes and Shivans all 4 go down in about 30 seconds. There's a video somewhere and it is just amazing. They target GW first then Mako because he will elude or run.

Isn't that group mostly Rad/* Defenders? With sufficient debuffs, such heroics are possible, but in a regular team with representatives from every AT it's more difficult.

Eh, I have seen it done on an MSTF run. Rad/ def, cold/ def, /therm contr, /kin contr, 2 blasters, 1 scrapper, 1 tank.
Personally, I favor pulling the patrons at once since I think it is easier - in short there is no "what if" problems. You just plan for the worst and then go get it. I like Scir, GW, Mako, BS order since Scir has those nasty AOEs. As long as the tank has the aggro and the group focuses on the called AV, we should be fine. -
Interesting. Crazy after all the time playing, I don't have hover on any toon, never used fly for KB protection if it was possible.
PS - Pol, was j/k earlier about my emp def retiring. -
I was planning my kin def since she doesn't have the badges yet for the STF. I do have emp def and D3 def - which may be a bit more needed here for the debuffing than a kin def. If anything else, got a grav/ff control that can bring some more def and force bubble on the bane spawn at end.
GP - Just FYI, in the guide section, there are MSTF guides and such, so if you more detailed info, they will have it.
I had two questions since we are discussing this.
For LR and damage auras. My understanding was that if LR is damaged by these aura, he will spawn his banes. I assume a damage aura can be turned off and keep your def/res up? (and I don't know fire tanks at all, only got an ice tank)
And second, in my experience, when LR is taunted at range and by a flyer, he only uses his ranged attack. This makes it a little hard if the healer can't fly. But if concern for the KB, shouldn't hover/fly provide the needed help? -
Wait, Pol, Voodoo, Mental (and someone will leak this to the furry one I bet) on the STF!!!! I would like to announce the sudden retirement of my emp def!
GP, if I bring my kin, I will have ID or if someone brings an emp def/contr or /therm contr, you should have enough status protection. If we were going for MSTF, then a few big BF's would be good as backup. Couple of points in that you can stock up at your base any extra inspirations or get some more via O portal. -
Well, my vote would be the STF then if you haven't run it. All in all, I still feel it is fun TF and well designed.

Hmmmm, interesting. I think I need STF too on my kin def if more are interested. Otherwise, up for anything though like LGTF - my poor villains!

I was thinking probably relentless ITF tonight myself for inf. I am fine holding off this weekend and could start a separate ITF. Otherwise, got a bunch of lowbie I would like to get into the teens.

Actually either side would be fine for me. Got thoughts on toons for each side, so if one is chosen, I will roll another toon for other nights on the other side.
I13 got pain set which interest me, even got a name ready. I am fine with waiting. -
Hmmm, I am interested for sure. Tuesdays are better for me than Wednesdays (which is why never could join Iso's). Will wait for further details!

No Meaningful Rewards
Instanced PvP Missions - this would be awesome
Flight Not Viable -
I can't wait to see what you put in its place. My main problem, as mentioned above, was every single group, over and over again. It just got to a point I wanted to avoid all Longbow missions since they would take about 3 to 5 times longer. The extra XP was a good incentive, but every single group on a map? In large teams, there were multiple nulls and spec ops. Maybe someone found a trick, but in the groups I was in, we couldn't take all them down fast enough before toggles dropped and end was gone.
Probably will get a few flames, but in some sense, I liked the challenge. Even said in a post some time ago that I thought some (keyword) toggle dropping should be employed. It would keep you on your toes and add a new dimension to the game. All toggles all the time made me feel that I wasted taking those powers and slotting them (b/c they would be dropped 1 sec after you enter a fight). This is like my defenders in taking toggles for the EPP. They are dropped so much that I don't even bother putting them on any more and probably will respec out of them someday. Thanks for the update Castle. -
Thanks for update and the slap. We play and have fun and even get a few trial/TF's in. When we can. When we find enough players interested (ponders the full team requirements to start on a number of them). We fail a few times, we succeed few more. Wait, how can I say that? I have no badge to show for it. Just in my case, it took a year just to complete all 6 standard TF's. I haven't even gotten to the non-badge ones due interest. Now this. What are you really getting at in this issue? Pets? Defense? Number of targets? Now badges? Just what??? Make some of your players happy and datamine. Give us a carrot to use a saying. We're not lazy, as some decide to say and point fingers at. Maybe our lives, our kids, our jobs, or whatever, you know the more important things in life that don't give us 18 hours a day to play like some non-lazy people have time for.
