  1. Okay, even crazier idea to add rather than buy at market or limit players from buying up to avoid a respec (again only for discussion purposes).

Day job temp by the guy in GC or the one in Nerva? The temp power can have either: 1) a max number of uses (6 again?) that slowly recharges over time; or 2) one use but recharges faster (24 hr/1 week?) per use.

The temp power will drop the IO as mentioned above as a recipe to be crafted (at some high cost for inf sink).
  2. The only one that comes to mind, and probably not popular, is a limit/cool down timer.

As I understand it, one of the reasons for a limit of 10 in a respec is to act as an inf sink. I could see someone using this to get around that sink by stacking up on these IOs and using them to replace a number of sets. They could easily do the same with multiple respecs. Will it have any impact overall? No idea and don't really want a timer either, but just tossing it out since it is being asked for discussion.

So if there was a limit of say 6 (the max slotting for one power) IO set with a time between (24 hr/1 wk?) between the 6 uses. This idea would be great to replace one set for a power already slotted and not hassle with the full respec process.
  3. So an IO that lets you remove an IO. I like it!
  4. For me, they are the market TPer and rezzer power.

The market TPer I am finding is really helpful in getting around, esp. to SC which is close to the Midnighter entrance or getting to Mercy/PO real fast from another zone (and don't have to go to the SG TPers). And the rezzer is great since I like doing a lot of co-op TFs and can help rez a team mate if needed.
  5. Should be there with my ice tank - I know you love her, my little honey Voo!

(been delaying running this again with my tank for the new version)

Isn't this the system already in place? Every 3 months, a vet reward is opened up and the player can choose to obtain it.
  7. Great time last night. Learned that there are more Rikti in the LGTF, like in the Hami mission.

I sooooooooooooooooooooooo wanted to say "<-didn't die" but curse you Hami!!!!

    That's just basic math.
Well, looks like this is done with that kind of statements. Enjoy, have fun.

I am curious how you can claim this. You know when the game is ending so that when anyone that joins after a certain date will not get Vet rewards because there will be no game?
If you have a subscription for X amount of time, you will ALWAYS get the Vet reward for that date.

For the system to actually be "fair", there has to be an end point of maximum reward. In jobs, this is retirement. What point is this in a game?
To play, have fun, enjoy the content made by the devs or in AE by players, make friends - NOT to collect Vet rewards. Are you implying people play games just to see how long they have had an active account?

And why are you making this like a race with a finish? They keep adding to it. They have done so 16 times, plus one more next week and another on deck. Like I asked above, do you know something about the termination of this game we all don't know?

I take the opposite view in that the company values all players equally - every player gets the same rewards at the same intervals.
It is the "thank you" to those that have hung around, playing the game and enjoying the content longer. The message is "Hey, we are glad you like our game, here is X for staying here Y months."

Over and over it has been mentioned that the long-term, paying player is what sustains the company. A new player could turn into such a player or they could just as well quit after 1 month. But if that player does stay the long term, here is what you are going to get.

People come to play a game, not Vet rewards. You don't need to hope for anything if you hate this game. You won't be here. If it is something that you love and can't wait for the next time you log in, well, you get something the longer you do that.

That is about the only thing I can come up with as an explanation for not completing. To me, the team looked pretty solid. Hitting that window when the generators are down and the hydra is exposed is the whole key for the AST. The Rikti are more in the background for flavor, IMO.
  13. I know I have run this once if not twice since I16 (need coffee to kick in!). Anyhow, both times were successful without much difficulty.

What exactly was the issue with the Rikti level range?

  15. Thanks Hamster for setting up. Looking forward to the LGTF this Friday.
  16. Welcome to Victory!

One item is to join the Global Channels: Victory Forum (ask mod to be unsilenced after joining) and Victory Badges 2009. There is also Victory Badges, but currently full. That could change with the new I17 update on global channels.

Otherwise, have fun and hope to see you in the game.

My global is the same as the forum handle (@PennyPA).

Well, I feel that there is a lot of drama on the chat channel change. Maybe there are channels where Mods haven't logged in for a while, leaving the door open for opportunistic mods to do whatever (sounds immature, but nothing surprises me anymore, even Voo! ). I am curious what happens to channels where the mods are all kicked for inactivity. Is there an autopromote feature?

Anyhow, the way I read the notes is that you would be kicked if you do not log in after X amount of days if a minimum has been set through the new command. And using 7 as a minimum is tight since that could be as long as a simple trip out of town. You leave one weekend, and come back late the following weekend, you may have not logged on for 9 days. Now you are suddenly kicked from channels that are set <9 days. Add in a spring breaks, summer trips, holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, and this become more than an annoyance if every few months you have to rejoin channels. Will people set to 7 days to channels on the servers? Definitely. Will this happen on Victory? Like I said above, it wouldn't surprise me.

Nice QoL addition to chat. Will be interested in seeing if people get all in a fit since they didn't log in some alt on another server for a while and expect to use a global channel they joined.

If anything, they should really have some more information for new toons on globals so that new players get in these sooner.
  20. Thanks GP. I need to spend an focused evening trying the program out and hopefully will understand what to slot up.

I've hit 20 on Mortis Caine, I'm hoping as I level up I'll see more people. The server population seems pretty thin.
Just FYI, but you can look here for more info on MM's. I have 2 at 50 and got my 3rd lined up for I17 for the new set.

IMO, they are really a unique AT in the game with what you can do, even soloing AVs or running some missions at +4/+8.

Anyhow, as GP mentioned, join the global channels if you haven't already: Victory Forum (ask mod to unsilence) and Victory Badges 2009 (Victory Badges I think is full currently). Also, since the game is instanced for missions, you will not see a lot of people "outside". And if you do, usually they are running to the next mission.
And don't be afraid to start your own teams!
