  1. For my 2 inf, I think AT and pairing can change the feeling. I have a DP corr at 50, and I thought it was a great ride there. I was paired with /traps, which went well with DP.

I did start a DP blaster (with /EM). Not high enough to get a feel for it overall, but it does feel clunky going from blaster to melee, whereas traps was fire and forget, letting me blast more.
  2. Hey all,

Looking to run a Master of the Barracuda SF run this Friday at 930P EST. This is a 45+ SF. All in all this has been a straight forward SF except for that nasty ending (description here).

I am on channels Victory Forum, Victory Badges, and Victory Badges 2009. @pennypa

Okay, looking like people will be available:
    1. Me (Beej, emp def)
    2. Voo (Doo)
    3. SHamster (either lost or a man - you decide! think the other way was better!!)
    4. MG (penciled as possible MM)
    5. wac (penned as MM)
    6. Desmodos (shady scrapper?)
    7. Major Force (a familiar controller...)
    8.

Since a Master attempt, I want to have at least 1 MM. They will get priority for a spot. (and if we get 2, so much the better!)

Please have inspirations ready and be on time. If we have alts from this forum or from the global channels, and it is 930P, I will take the alt(s) and start the SF. I will not start over if you are late and the team is filled.
  3. That first run I feel bad targetting the wrong toon to heal. Second run, the heal was there, but just too much damage.

Impressive teams all around and glad I could join up.

I'm going to stop replying to you now because what you and I are engaging in at this point is basically he said/she said. I can tell from the nature of the conversation though that we'd probably get along great under different circumstances. Hopefully we'll meet on friendlier terms next time.
Probably not. You make absolutely no sense. Proving you wrong after I was replying to EG then you start off on DP? Oooookay. Whatever you are on about.

And claiming "many players". That proves that no game will ever be perfect. Players will like X while other Players like Y, and so forth. You said it yourself with the "many" - as in "some," "many," "a lot," "a few," or "one person". There will always be complaining, so there is no issue to be fixed.

Right, it doesn't matter. KB is fine then. Thanks for proving that.

Funniest thing in this thread. "Many people" could mean anything unless you have real numbers.

My cold corr already has the badge...

    Got /therm, /kin, /rad, or /traps corr's, /storm or /dark MM's, Widow, Bane, and some LOL! toons (/EA brute and stalker) too.
  8. Still got my emp def redside if room or need. Otherwise, got a few other toons.

    Housefire

Hang in there Viv and your family. As long as they are safe, that is what is most important. Moving does suck, but it will be forgotten afterwards in few months.

The game will be here when you get back so don't worry about us!

    Corr vs. Blaster

My 2 inf is corr. I recently leveled a DP/traps corr to 50. I felt the two sets synergized quite well for both soloing and teams.

I have found my corruptors incredibly powerful where my enemies would rather run than fight.
  11. Stormy,

I am done here. Your insults to my reading are enough now and before.

    Stormy,

I have said before in a number of your threads, I have no idea what you are talking about here or what game you are playing. I have a number of "support" toons to 50. They are not that helpless or even maxed out with IOs. There are different mobs that can give different toons a headache if they go in unprepared or falsely assuming nothing can hurt them.

What you are talking is extreme examples that the game shouldn't be balanced around. Can my emp def or therm corr solo? Of course. So can my ice tank, stalker, or WS. Can they solo GM's/AV's? No. Sounds evenly balanced to me (I would like to see your evidence that no toon can solo, then I would agree that there is a balance issue).

On a side note, I have a friend that farms the wall in Cim with his controlling toons. I assure you they yell before he wipes them out.
  13. Or something like HO's with VG merits...(looks in sig)

    <.<
    >.>

But for the OP, not a bad idea. Could a new recipe set be made for multi-aspect generic recipes, but not be HO's or have any set bonuses? Could be rare like purp/PvP?
  14. Although I find fascinating, my only issue is what about lack of pets on a map that is mostly cleared or in a zone during an ambush?

I have leveled 3 MM's to 50 and although I consider them incredibly powerful in what they can do, there are times when I loose pets (the horror I know, but I am only human ). Also, in a mission maps and you have to summon that first pet(s) from a group, will that generate aggro? Those mins/lt/boss would not be friendly to the mobs and drag them right back to you and maybe die on the way, leaving you will some aggro at your feet.

Again, interesting concept (apart from all the technical/coding/etc. issues I am not asking about), but I am use to a more reliable way to get pets.

Not needed? LOL! Too funny. Many suggestions are not "needed", but nice to see implemented.

And don't tell me what groups I can and can not "pick on".
  16. Going to have to change this to unlikely now.

RL stuff came up and dealing with it. Have fun!

I can pretty much guarantee the overall mitigation becomes worse from the kb if you are grouped with a dominator/controller. If the group is stunned/held/confused then the kb is actually giving the mobs more of a chance to fight back because they are probably going to take less dmg during this time. If the group is on an ice slick with arctic air effecting them or in a static field with conductive aura draining them, the kb allows the mob to get away from the better controlled situation. Like I said earlier, I usually find kb to be fine, but that's just something to think about.
Yes, I am sure IME. You are describing different situations and the use of KB changes.

For example, my /storm MM can solo +4/+8. And I use gale to KB the mobs, even after using the other powers. I still finish the missions.

But now you bring up group situations. If the controller has an immob that can stop KB, then it is no issue to use it. The mobs are not going anywhere. But I can use KB to mitigate as needed on stray mobs or whatever. Back to my MM again, do I really need to use gale now if the mobs are all held? No. Do I use it of there are too many and the controller (or dom) didn't stop all of the mobs and gale can KB them back off the "squishies"? Absolutely. This goes with the other situations. It depends if the team is in control (no pun ) or over their heads.

I will add that KB will have mitigation, but it may not be the best overall and learning how to use it adds to that mitigation in a team.

After 75 months, I know that, but thanks anyways. Still isn't cute after bringing a gold side toons over and they finally getting to a level to run this mission. My point is that it would be nice if the recharge was short to nothing so you can get more shots off before they scatter too far.

Eh, I wouldn't agree. If it was "completed", then the Lost were cured. Apart from autocompleting, I would like to see the recharge on the wand dropped next to nothing. So many groups of Lost standing around, and you fire one shot off and they scatter. It was cute the first dozen times or so, but now...

Not in any fashion is it a detriment. IME, the teams that kick KBers are the min/maxers of XP and speed runs. They don't want there precious time wasted chasing a mob. Fire has more damage and DoT, thus will be more efficient for the speedsters.

I have done an all storm ITF and completed it in roughly the same time as a regular run for the ITF. KB wasn't a detriment like you think it is.
