Yep, you can now choose any Patron Pool after acquiring any of the Patron badges. While it may have made sense in a RP-sense, the old way of "You want Mako's powers? Then do Mako's arc." was quite rediculous. Especially with the Epic Power Pools automatically unlocking at 41.

I'd be up for it again as well. Beta's there to be tested.

Sounds good to me. Friday the 5th is when the company I work for lays off 1/4 of its Engineers, so it'll probably be a bad day for me (I've only been there a year). I'll need something to beat on Thursday night, and this TF seems to be fully of smashing heads.

I should have plenty of options blue-side (though I'll probably run with my Fire/Kin; been a while since I've played it), but I'm limited red-side (Nin/Nin Stalker or Rad/Kin Corr).

It's in Firebase Zulu, which is accessable to level 40+ Heroes.

I'd like to say we had less deaths than Jim's team, myself.... We never once had a full team wipe, for instance. Though Freeze and Fire kept dying to pulling too much aggro, so who knows. lol

You can get healing badges from the Terra Volta Respec....if you're a masochist. >.>

I've played a Ninja Blade/Ninjitsu Stalker (primarily team-based), an Electrical Melee/Energy Aura Brute (again, team), and an Energy Melee/Invulnerablity Brute (solo to 45, teamed to 50) to 50, and overall I'd say I had more fun on the Stalker. There's just something about one-shotting an orange-conned Lieutenant that makes me smile. Either way, teaming and solo play was possible on all 3 toons, albeit easier to solo with the Brutes.

I also have a lowbie Dual Blades/Willpower Brute (solo) and Martial Arts/Energy Aura Stalker (team) that I'm in the process of leveling. Again, I find the Stalker more fun to play. Might be the power choices or the team focus, I don't know.

For a Brute, I would recommend Electrical Melee as a primary, and either Invulnerability or Stone Armor as a secondary. Once you get to 32, there's nothing more fun than Electrical Melee IMO and having those secondaries will get you a ton of playtime in the late game, but the early game will probably be tough. For a Stalker, I'd recommend Ninja Blade/ or Spines/, and /Ninjitsu or /Super Reflexes. Just a side note, Hide works better when combined with a Defense-based set.

Be warned that Stalkers tend to not get invited to teams. It seems they have a bad reputation due to idiots that think their sole job is to run to the end of the mission and click the glowie.

Sounds like fun, I've got plenty of heroes and a few villains for both TFs when the time comes.

Is your level listed in the real numbers "Powers" pop-up? I know your current Influence/Infamy is, but can't remember if your level is.....

Also, you could always disable earning experience in the Options menu, if you'd like. I do this on my souvenir Brutes so I can complete every storyline in a given level range. (Yes, plural. I'm on my second one right now.)
