I have something similar to this but my character is a dark elf from Norse mythology named Svaltalfar. He is a Rad/Dark corr, no where near patrons yet (lvl29). Using colors to make each power look like a different spell is the key but Rad has a nice range of shapes and animations in the attacks that help make things look different. Plus, dark really pairs well for this type of idea. As with most things in this game there are lots of options but those are what I chose. I know you are looking hero but nothing says you can't make him and move him over once GR hits.

I think it would be easier to say what I don't play. MM's and Controller's. I have one of each. Bots/Traps is 24 (tried thugs/poison and zombies/dark and deleted them about the same level) and an Ice/Storm troller (first and only troller). They are my last attempts at each AT. They will get to 50...someday because I want one 50 of everything.
Otherwise it's lots of Brutes and Corrs, I am also getting into Tanks(finally) with, I would say, at least 3 of everything else across 2 accounts mostly on 2 servers (Triumph and Champion) with 9 or 10 50's.
What I am more interested in is how the OP thinks choice of AT/build/theme relates to what kind of person/player someone is.
Half my 50's are Brutes but I play everything. I build for theme not min/max. So what does the OP think that says about me? Not trying to pick a fight. Just curious since he brought it up early on in his post. -

There are a number of options that have been mentioned, but here are my current favorites red-side if you're farming for drops and inf (in no particular order):
*Paper misssions with Council. Council are an easy target and your Fire/Fire brute should have the requisite resistance/healing and damage output to run through a map of +2/x8 with no problems. The bonus to his is the mission complete bonus which gives you a little extra cash. The only downside is the occassional choice of missions that doesn't include Council as one of the options.
*If you haven't done any of the RWZ missions yet, Levantera has 2 good missions in her arc that are quite farmable. You get her as your first contact just for going in there. You'll do a series of errands before you get any actual good missions from her, but it only takes about 5 mins. to knock those out. Farming Rikti is rewarding, they drop a little more XP and Inf than other factions...of course, this also depends on how tough you've built your Brute and if you can take the energy and S/L damage that you'll be receiving from Rikti. There is a mission about 2 or 3 into Levantera's arc on a burning forest map. This gives you large groups spawned close together in a convenient set up. The end-mission on this is a 'kill named boss' so just be careful not to kill him and you can repeat this again and again. If you do, there is an outdoor industrial map that has you kill 3 bombs and 3 captives in order to complete. The setup isn't quite as convenient, but it has a ton of Rikti on it and has a number of good corners to herd multiple spawns to.
*TV farm is always a classic with the Nemesis on Dreck's map...I always get annoyed at the multiple firings of Veng, so not really my favorite.
*Finally there is the AE - no you won't get drops outside of Influence and tickets, but the tickets can be cashed in for some decent things...TF recipes or rare salvage. Best part is you can fight against factions that would be weak to your fire or things that your highly resist, like fire.
and a pocket full of AE tickets will not only make you money but will save you money when you need that certain piece of salvage that the market has driven up the price on during the week you happen to need it.
Bottom line ask around and see if you know someone who has these missions. Ask if they will chaparone/let you try a run your self. Find one you like and get it locked in then bounce around to some of the readily available options (paper, Borea, AE) and have fun. -
Well I figured at least half the team will be interested in the XP as much as the Merits so I wasn't figuring a "speed run" I was talking more about knowing where you are going next or when you have a "talk to" so we can be on our way asap and I can plan my variuos TP usage...just as a cutting small corners kind of thing. So that was bad phrasiology on my part.
Personally, I want the XP so I would just as soon run them as kill alls but I would rather run it so the team is happy with the pace. -
I use the Platform mish from Black Scorpion on my Stone/Fire Brute. It has several excellent spots next to stairs that allow for tight grouping of enemies for using Tremor/burn/fault/burn. The map also places a large group of enemies in a small area so runs can be faster if all you do is work the platform and repeat.
I use the Liberate TV mish on my Dark/fire brute. This map requires a lot of running around and if you do not pay attention/take your time you can miss some mobs but is very fun. My toon also has elec fences from Scirroco's Patron pool so I can eliminate the running away problem when I use burn.
As long as you have temperture protection and half way decent recharge in healing flames I would shoot for one of these two. You should be able to handle the nemesis pretty well.
The possessed scientist mission, as mentioned by Mac, can be a crap shoot depending on which builds the scientists end up with and since you did not mention which patron you chose(I imagine you finished the arc) my final answer would be the TV mish. You can farm several of those along the way. Run the Freaks/DE map a few times. Run the Family/nemesis map a couple times.
Then settle in to the Liberate TV mish and make your money. You can run that map once a day, at say 0 +6, sell the reg 50 IO drops craft the stuff that will sell, sell extra Chronal Skips, Photonic weapons and you will have a nice litle nest egg in no time without burning your self out with multiple runs day after day....but you can do that too if it floats your boat. My two Brutes always have 90+ mil on them and they bankroll most of my alts on two accounts and 90 mill is chump change for a lot of folks around here but I wont farm for weeks at a time. Sometimes months... -
Well then I guess I should do some reading...it will be anything but a speed run with me in charge. My blue side TF knowledge base is lacking. I can speed the heck out of some red side stuff but I will certainly take a crack at it.

Before it was a superheroes n villains game, it was a superheroes game, and as such held an innate appeal to people with "heroic" aspects to their personalities. This involves being helpful, polite, and considerate, especially to new players. -

The Numina run was fun..as they all have been since I started trying to make these regularly.
I definately want to do a Shard TF. Those are one of those things I have never gotten around to doing. I will have to buy some Jet packs for my toons that qualify since my 3 heroes that are over 40 have Super Jump...one reason I stay out of the Shard for the most part. Well that and I play mostly red side..so I only have my scrapper and 2 Blasters to run this on. I will check back to see which one you decide to do and look up the specifics to see who I should bring. -

For all my previous problems/issues with Ozi he will take enough flak for what has already happened. He should not have to take additional flack for not trying to apologize to the other servers. He did try.
Triumph's good name has taken enough of a hit. The more we crucify Ozi here the worse it gets. Personally I will be burying the whole incident in the deepest hole I can find in the Pit on Sharkhead, crack open a bottle of Captain Morgan private stock and move on with my rather enjoyable life on Triumph.

I have held my tongue regarding this incident because, frankly, there is a great deal of history and dirty laundry involving Lord Ozi that I do not want to air here. Old wounds are best left healed.
I commend everyone that worked damage control. My first instinct was to do the same but everytime I tried it spiraled into a rant that would have served no good purpose.
I will simply say this was extemely poor judgement by a young man and sincerely hope a lesson was learned. -

LMAO Sampson...that made me feel soooo much better about the Bears current woes, but back to Baba's problem.
Unfortunately your best hope is that Brett does come back. You likely wouldn't even have been in the playoffs to begin with if it wasn't for him. The problem is Brett is a gunslinger. That's what makes him fun to watch but he is just as likely to turn into Barney Fife as he is to be Wyatt Earp in the games biggest moment. Is it his fault the Vikes lost? If all you saw was that last series then yes. If you saw the whole game, then no.
The Vikings need to hire Tim McGraw's character from Fiday Night Lights to come in and duct tape footballs to Adrian Peterson and the wide outs hands and abuse them into holding on to the ball.
I wish I could share your pain but any success for the Vikes comes with a massive urge to vomit on my part...I don't even want to get into what I think of the twins. In essence, I actually rather enjoyed the game.
I should stop...I'm not really being helpful.
P.S. You should really go get a hug from hairy Vikes mascot guy...it might help. -

Exactly my thoughts, but I've made on on Champion, but I'm not happy with the concept of her.
My group consisted of Heraclea, who had a toon with a name that began with a C, and three others. I didn't know it was her until the end when I was trying to figure out who was who when we were talking on the tankhq channel.
We did the midnighters arc and it was probably the most fun I've had with it.
I would move my favorite tank, Coconut Infinity, to Justice or Champion, but I'm rather attached to Freedom and will move her back there before the end of the month. Besdies, it's fun to make new toons. I do so almost daily.
I just need to not make them always wp/. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but I keep doing the same thing.
But yeah, tanker tuesdays rock.
I also got to sneak in on the Malaise fight as well. I was a bit useless in that. Was basically sleep....confuse (hit LSK & Warboss)....sleep....confuse (repeat)....sleep...yay Malaise is down and I am still sleeping.
I am debating where to move this toon...I consolidated some stuff to Champion already so I am leaning towards Justice. If I leave it on Virtue it won't see the light of day till the tour returns.
Can't wait for next run on Champion. My little stoner is getting quite fun to play and I wouldn't mind trying out a Synapse now that he has stamina.
