I'd rather protect the game by being inclusive and helpful instead of discriminating and hateful and demanding that people play the game one specific way.

This x1000! Everyone I personally know in-game that farms, also tend to be among the most laid-back, fun-loving and knowledgeable players out there. They also are among the most active players out there, and are just as likely to be running TF's, badging, or any other normal game content, as they are to be farming. -
[ QUOTE ]
During US playtimes, which servers are active for groups and such?
Thanks
[/ QUOTE ]
Every single one... -
Yep.. When there is a group of self-appointed "farm police" going around looking to report as many arcs as possible that don't meet their standards, and on top of that petitioning players who even mention the word "farm" in broadcast, I have little to no desire to bother with MA.
-
Why do people keep trying to come up with "fixes" for stuff that isn't broken in the first place?
The devs have already forced all creatures to have ranged attacks, removed exploits like the Rikti Comm Officers, and nerfed the ticket cap to 15% of what it used to be. I don't see asking for even more restrictions as a particularly good idea. -
Saturday it is, then.. See y'all there!
-
And honestly, since the recent change to pets that prevent them from receiving any buff or debuff to the pet's recharge, there is no reason not to open up the RIP sets to all MM pet summons.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Nope, doesn't seem unfair, recharge intensive pet sets go into pets that are recharge intensive. You could always just play /dark or /storm. Then again, if tornado is a pet, OSA and acid mortar should be too.
[/ QUOTE ]
Or Seeker Drones, especially considering the fact that PB Photon Seekers can use the RIP sets. -
Everyone forget about this week's run? Only had four of us show. Do we want to want to wait until next Saturday, as normal, or try for an earlier day?

I was on a pick-up group with my empath when the leader asked me if I had preemptive heals set up. She said that preemptive heals anticipate incoming damage and then activate quickly to counteract the damage. I've never heard of this, and I can't find anything about it here or on the wiki. Does anyone know what preemptive healing is?
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't even worry about it... As everyone knows, just put Healing Aura on auto. That's what all the best healorz do. -
I originally had Munitions on my AR/EM, but ended up switching to Force. LRM is fun, and does good damage, but I found on teams it was close to useless due to the animation time.
With Force, I do just as much damage, and have much improved survivability. -

both toons must be within 3 lv's of each other to get the drops.

Is this specific to the arena, or does it also apply to zone PvP? -
Powers tab, upper left hand corner, Combat Attributes. Once you open the Attribute window, right click on any individual attribute and select Monitor to open it a separate window.

So rather than just quit the team, that you asked to join, once you decided it was not something you wanted to do, you decided to be a total jerk and intentionally cause team wipes?
What a class act...

I get the impression they got themselves killed and he didn't overexert himself to save them, rather than overtly trying to train on to them.
[/ QUOTE ]
Really? Did you miss this part:
[ QUOTE ]
half way through the battle i toggle off against all odds. team wipe minus me. toggle it back on and finish off the spawns
[/ QUOTE ]
and
[ QUOTE ]
i do that a few times before i finally drag them into the biggest baddest nastiest spawn placement on the map aggro the world with fire ball and quit team
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh yeah, and
[ QUOTE ]
they got what they deserve
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep.. Nothing intentional there at all. -
[ QUOTE ]
When will the witch hunting end? Soon any mission that has an outdoor map will be called a farm/exploit.
[/ QUOTE ]
The devs should just get it over with and cut MA rewards by 50%-75%. Maybe then the anti-farming brigade will calm down and stop calling every mission out there that does not meet their standards a farm. -

There is really very little difference between any of the other servers as far as population goes. The ability to join teams has far more to do with your ability and effort than any other factor.
Just like Player, my home server is Protector, one of the "lowest". I never have problems getting or forming a team at almost any time of the day.
* Join your server global channels.
* Find an SG with active players.
* Use the server section here on the forum.
That is all you need to do to get teams on any server, no matter what the population. -
Don't worry, it will all be fixed when the devs nerf MA rewards, and force mission authors to use cookie cutter spawns so they can't make "exploitative" missions.

In the last ten days I ran Four POSITRON TF's. All on Virtue.
[*]3 man: 2hours 10 minutes[*]4 man: 3hours 10 minutes[*]3 man: 2hours 55 minutes (third man dropped out on last mission)[*]3 man: 2hours 1 minute (just missing out on the gold badge for that TF)

Small teams are the Posi trick.. Just finished a duo run in 1:40. -

Lag all over the place, that was never there before.
Memory leaks.
Teams having people zone into different instances of the same mission.
Crashing the entire client to desktop when exiting the final mission of a TF.
[/ QUOTE ]
No lag for me except on the hill in the ITF as usual. (No, that won't EVER be fixed until they remake the entire map.)
No memory leaks.
Haven't experienced the teammates in different instances yet, but I don't team a lot.
The last time I crashed out of CHVR was before my last break. I defragged afterward, rebooted, haven't crashed since.
Might want to check your rig.
[/ QUOTE ]
When half the team crashes out on the final mission of a TF, it has nothing to do with my equipment.
I am glad you're not experiencing these things, but they are still there.
Rather than derail this into a tech support thread, I'll just leave it alone. There is enough drama around here as it is. I'm glad the devs are working on new content, and I seriously hope that Issue 15 is an awesome success. -

Nice... 14 is still a complete mess, and rather than fix that, they go into beta testing with 15. Apparently the devs have learned exactly zero from the Issue 14 debacle.
Shame on them.

15 is addressing some MA stuff. Who says they aren't fixing it? What else is a mess?
[/ QUOTE ]
Let's see...
For a start:
Lag all over the place, that was never there before.
Memory leaks.
Teams having people zone into different instances of the same mission.
Crashing the entire client to desktop when exiting the final mission of a TF.
I'm going to avoid getting into the whole MA "exploit" mess and the badge issue.
Issue 14 is about the best example of poor planning I have ever seen.
Every dev should be forced to have a sign on their desk that says "Prior Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance" and recite that to themselves a hundred times a day at least. -

From what's been going on the last few days, it's obvious that Customer Services does NOT know it at all, let alone see it. EDIT: The pages and pages of farm arcs in the MA which are [censored] obvious but then they have idiocy like the stuff that has been stating all over the forums.
[/ QUOTE ]
It is increasingly obvious that the sole criteria for dev action seems to be leveling speed. It looks like it has nothing to do with exploits, abuse, risk or anything else. But if you level fast enough to trip whatever trigger the devs put in place, you get hammered. Those using some discretion seem to be OK.
I have yet to hear of anyone receiving any kind of warning or punishment for ticket farming, for example. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'll clarify some mission details. There were NO exploits. I did not have easy mobs that gave higher than normal xp. I did not have any NPC allies in the mission, much less ones that simply followed and buffed. I did not have object that blew up and killed everything while giving me xp. I did not use "the easiest mobs I could find. I didn't use any of the "PL'ers tricks". I made a map with the toughest bosses I could find.
[/ QUOTE ]
And people wonder why some players are paranoid about MA missions... -
The Taskforce Random Recipe Roll and Trial Random Recipe Roll from merit vendors have been merged into one Random Rare Recipe Roll pool. Also, the recipes generated by random rolls have been weighted so that recipes for common power types (such as Ranged Damage) drop more often than sets that are not so commonly used (such as Confuse). Finally, recipes formerly in Pool C and Pool D now have a small chance of dropping from a Boss class NPC.
