  1. You can't get much more retro than Rings and a Fin together - I went with B. C's a close second, though.
  2. C for me. The chest piece seems like something you can adapt to other costume sets, and I'd be dying to try to use it to make some mix and max medieval armor. The rings also scream "Retro Sci-fi" more than anything the others have.
  3. Less is more for me, so I went with C. I like things generic enough to mix and match parts - If we get a bubble-less collar, it'd be a fancy choker to go with things like the Celestial armor.
  4. I went with B. A reminded me a lot of the temporary Raptor Pack, and C seemed more comical than retro - like strapping Dynamite to your back. Plus, B's got that whole "Rocketeer" thing going for it.

Edit: Then again, if A didn't have flames coming out of the ports, and instead had those purple "OoOOo" rings (you know the ones I mean) showering it was hovering? I'd side with A.
  5. Didn't we already have Storm vs. Thor? I thought it ended pretty well.

  6. Excellent! I'll watch it as soon as I get home from work. Thanks for posting the link.

    Save Positron! Play the end-game!

He's responding in each of the OP's threads. "Dude, so many questions! You should totally post more threads." Was a fun game matching the times up, but it's easy to see by going to Reoptic's posting history.
  9. If you're looking for straight healing, Longbow Radial provides the most amount of green numbers - one is a single target heal that unfortunately only targets the pet's owner, and the other is Healing Aura every 6 seconds or thereabouts. Before Keyes was neutered it was my go-to choice as far as Lore goes.

T4 Longbows also have massive -regen available to them as well.

I think the OP, who incidentally is a pretty cool guy, is just getting a little frustrated and flustered at his embarrassing thread not going away. This thread's turned into a swarm of stinging comments - poor guy's caught swatting at them, but that just makes the swarm angrier.

Yeah, it was funny, silly and a little ridiculous to sell the name. The OP admitted it, and probably knew it after the first few responses. Lets move on, or at least pick on a new target to make fun of.

You can make fun of my obsession with knights/paladins/templars if you'd like? Incidentally, anyone have the name "Crusader" available on any server?
  11. Love the costumes, but I'm disappointed at what looks like a trend: limited unique pieces for male characters, with significant proliferation and unique pieces to female characters. While I can appreciate the precarious situation the costume team is in with the uproar caused by the Gunslinger pack, the problem wasn't that there were unique pieces on both sides but that the themes weren't consistent.

Please, begin to make unique parts for both sexes again under consistent themes. Between this Chinese Dynasty and the Sash/Carnival Costume packs, things are heading down the other extreme with just as passionate resentment building for those of us who value our male characters.
  12. As Fennec mentioned, make sure that you're not in the LFG queue when requesting to join a trial. If there's a deluge of tells, leaders can invite by clicking on a player's name before moving onto the next tell and repeating until the league's full, while "Cannot invite [player]" messages get lost in the shuffle. They might not even realize they couldn't invite you to the league because of the LFG queue.
  13. Are you factoring in Incarnate abilities in this? If so, Lore Pets can provide -Regen, Continual Knockback or massive single target DPS, depending on what hole you're looking to fill. T4 Rebirth's Regen and handing one or two green inspirations can allow anyone to survive being disintegrated, or you can use Barrier to revive two people every 2 minutes while also buffing the entire league - all a nice means of opening up more support options for you to look at.

You can also count on constantly using Vengeance for your teammates to allow at least one team to survive or recover from the beginnings of a league wipe.

I'd estimate we did about 40 runs of Keyes (having done 2-3 Keyes per week).

We were a team of people whose goal was dedicated to acquiring this badge, and it still took us ~40 attempts. There's almost no chance to get the badge on a regular Keyes runs. When I do Keyes now, I just laugh when I see Green Stuff fail, inevitably, usually on the first beam.
If it's any help, four people with Incandescence can make the Green Stuff a breeze. Assuming everyone's on the same page and has their teleport prompts turned off you can cycle through the teleports while your designated taunter pulls AM out of the Obliteration area of effect. It took about 4 tries to get that badge when we had just two of us with the league teleport.
  15. I'd play through them, though I would expect the rewards to be less than those involved with larger Incarnate Trials - or require more of the four to eight players than a full league of heroes. The hardest part of incarnate trials is getting people to work together, and it's a lot easier to do that with a small team than a large one.

Perceived problems in grinding, story, and mechanics would likely remain a source of many threads on the forums, though.

  18. So.. she's upset because of the color pink, or what? Boys and girls can buy both, whichever they want to get. Not sure what her adorable speech is going on about besides repeating what her parents taught her.

  19. Merry Christmas Eve and Day, everyone!

Sarah Palin must be mentioned in any political thread, no matter how mediocre the thread. Much like Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert must be brought up in any thread about comedians, or the "lolfauxnews" idiotic meme must be brought up in any thread involving news.

    Also, Hitler.

Edit: To be honest, I get your frustration, OP. Hollywood's got this rose colored liberal glasses most of the time (When was the last time you saw a corporation portrayed as a hero, or a conservative champion in the military who wasn't a redneck racist homophobe bigot?). But it's not necessarily the only or even leading cause of bad movies. The desire to capture the old infatuation that people had with the silver screen is usually to blame - and by that, I mean the desire to make money.
  21. I'll keep track of my trial results and provide them for your analysis, Snow Globe. I disagree almost completely with your opinions on the incarnate system, but I'd like to contribute instead of posting snarky non-sense like I did above.

Virtue's a hotbed of incarnate activity, and I usually get around 4 trials a night in my quest to claim every T4 ability out there. This includes Underground, Keyes, and the new trials - it's usually active in the evening PST after 8 pm, and if no one's forming anything it's not because they don't want to join, it's because they don't have anyone leading. At that point it's easy enough to form up a league yourself in about 20 minutes for the Underground, or 5-10 minutes for the others.

    Holiday Time!

Merry Christmas, Zwillinger. I hope you have plenty of time to spend with your loved ones. You're a constant source of cheer and fun, and you'll be missed during the break - but I hope your time away is a blessed one.

Keyes does not need to be nerfed more, it is already disgustingly easy.

My only issue with MoM is how easily one person can grief the entire trials chance for success by simply using knockback abilities. I'd arguably say its worse than the way targetted/lethal force works in UGT. The Storm Voids in stage two and the GMs in stage four need to be immune to knockback (and repel). If a GM gets knocked away right before it dies in stage four it can mean entire failure of the trial, and its far too easy for one person to do this, knowingly, unknowingly, or accidently. Otherwise the trial is fine.

TPN is fine as it is. The only thing that I really have an issue with on TPN is it's midtrial reward of 60 bonus threads. TPN is too short and the success rate is too high to deserve the same bonus that UGT has. UGT /needed/ the midtrial 60 threads and guaranteed rare/vr. TPN doesnt.

All the trials can be done with the minimum number of people, which means 8-12 people, not far off from normal team size for endgame TFs which typically require 8 people. Some trials can be done with less than the minimum if you really want to and have some people willing to fill.

Whether you get a strong leader or not is kind of a toss up, if you don't feel other people lead them as well as you could, lead them yourself. But I don't agree with nerfing the trials to compensate for bad leadership or bad players that can't make decisions for themselves to stay effective during a trial when leadership is slacking. There are plenty of resources to find out what to do at whatever point during a trial. If you are doing a complete PuG then you can't really complain if things aren't perfect... its a PuG.
  24. It was fun to harp on Statesman back in 2005, but in all the recent arcs Statesman has been supportive. Playing through the revamped A Hero's Epic made me appreciate Statesman the character as much as most of the other PCs out there, as far as storylines are concerned. He's got a bit of angst in that he's paralyzed by the Well, but outside of that he's positive and normal. Leading through a STF didn't raise any red flags in the dialogue either.

As someone who's wound up liking the character despite the earlier drama, I hope that this is just a comic book death. Have him come to the player character for help when he's back, still confident and inspirational but also deferring to characters as peers.
