    MM's have no self buffs

    [/ QUOTE ]

Let's there's Dispersion Bubble, PFF and a couple of others in forcefields. Dark Miasma has at least one. There is Flash Arrow, SuperSpeed, the Concealment pool the Presence pool, and the Fighting pool.

Or you could take a couple of attacks from your primary, summon your biggest pet then blast away.
  2. Maybe the op would like to have pets out all the time, but much weaker?
  3. Yeah, I would never build a MM without a stealth power or PFF.
  4. Actually, GMs do have a level, but it is now hidden (it didn't used to be).

However, they have special code that makes them always purple. They hit and do damage as if they where 5 levels higher than you, and you hit and damage them as if you where 5 levels lower than them.

Their level does determine hp, and it makes them tougher for players whose level is lower than the level of the GM.

levels I can remember: Paladin 10, Kraken (perez) 14, Babbage 20.
  5. Useful post from castle on the US site:

Placate (the power) has a couple of effects.

First, it applies Placate (the effect) to a single target. Any target that has the Placate effect on it cannot target the person who used the Placate.

Second, it applies a 'Hide Like' state, which is neither Hide, nor Stealth. It does allow for Stalker powers critical's, however.

It does not give any Defense bonus at all.

Other powers which can Placate (Smoke Flash) only apply the First part. The Hide like stat is not granted at all -- in other words, it is 100% defensive, not a Set Up power.

  6. I usually click on my pets in the pet window rather than in the world when buffing them. makes it easier to keep track of whos been done.
  7. Thinking about this, reaching 50 as a villain would unlock keldians unless the devs actually write extra code to stop it happening.

However it would only unlock the normal hero keldians.

    Basic Telepads

Yeah, you wont be able to place it if your SG doesn't have enough PR. If you are short on energy or contol you can place it but it wont work.
  9. Tend to pop most of the yellows and reds petty much as soon as I get them, so I can save up what I'm gonna nead.

I'm also blessed with an autodoc in the sg base that hands out blues when I die.
  10. I would go with BigBoy's build.

Frosty Robot has Hover and Fly. Hover is useful when you are close to the def cap but not quite there.
  11. Just have a few blues ready for when you go on your killing spree.
  12. No need to apologise for asking sensible questions.

We would all much rather team with someone who asks questions and knows how to play thier AT.
  13. 3. Try and team with Corruptors and Dominators. They will help to keep you alive.

    Fury

Scrappers get a chance (10% on most powers, usually 20% on one) of a critical hit for double damage. Their base damage is also significantly higher than a brute.
  15. 1. Shields are 75%, same as a Scrapper.

    2. It doesn't matter who you attack in order to build fury, go for the biggest threat to the team.

    3. Fitnesss pool is good, as you will want Stamina in order to keep up your attack rate whilst running your shields.

    4. Theoretically you are right, holding aggro is not your job, however there are an awful lot of lousy MMs out there who wont send in thier pets until the rest of the team is engaged, so you will probably find yourself leading the charge and getting a lot of aggro anyway. Aggro can be good though, since every time a mob attacks you you increase fury. This is the main reason Brutes take Taunt powers.
  16. Not much to say really, sounds ok, your powers can be recharging whilst Shadow Maul animates.
  17. From a concept pov SS/Invun sounds right. However, I don't think there are any Brute powersets wich loose effectivness when combined.

I guess there is some minor synagy from fire/fire and dark/EA, but its not gameshaking.
  18. I like small teams. 3-4 are usually a lot more effective than 8.
  19. I have in on my dominator. Its not that great since I usually get hit back. Let Jack take the hits.
  20. Actally, there is a trick. At melee range the void hunter will use normal melee attacks rather than his Q-gun, so get in close and pound him.
  21. I may not be able to make it, so don't hang around waiting for Frosty.
  22. Illusion/TA kicks butt. The Phantom Army benfits hugely from the resistance debuffs, and the extra hold is great for illusion. Phantasm', energy blasts can detonate Oil Slikc too.
  23. Sounds like sound advice. Do look at Spad's guide though, its invaluble.
  24. Frosty Robot neads that one, I will try to be there.
  25. Ice can be a bit of a pain in PvP i've found. the villains simply avoid going near you. You don't loose any, but you don't win any either. I have energy as my secondary though. You might get more millage with /Ice (or /SS).

Sticking 3 slow enhancers on CE might be worth trying for PvP.
