You are alowed to turn it off you know.
-
Lightning Rod does not crit at all. However you can use it without breaking hide.
AFAIK Chain Induction crits on the initial strike only. -
We actually have quite a lot of content confirmed (or almost confirmed) for issue 13:
1) Base improvments
2) Shield Defence powerset (tankers, scrappers, brutes)
3) New enhancement sets (most probably more purple sets)
We have some other stuff we know is coming, but might not make isse 13, like the villain healing set, more stuff for the roman zone, and a shadow shard revamp.
I would guess there will be some more powerset proliferation in issue 13, although not as much as isse 12 (confirmed). In particular, I would lay very good odds that tankers and brutes will get Broadsword to go with their Shields.
The City Vault will be out when it's ready, it won't be part of an issue.
Moon zone can be ruled out, for the next issue at least. There are half finished launch pad models for Port Oakes and Steel Canyon, which will appear in the issue before the moon goes live. -
Romulus isn't all that difficult if you know how to deal with him.
Healing essence first, then the other two essences, then Romulus last. -
It's a bit late though, the shield powers where decided upon ages ago, it's only the time to do the animations that stopped it being in issue 11.
If you want to know what will actually be in Shields, these are the powers used by the romans:
Energized Shield Self: +Def(All but Psi), +Res(DefDebuff), +Prot(Stun, Sleep, Hold, Knockback/up, Repel, Immobilize)
Push Back Melee, Extreme Damage(???) (Smash), Foe High Knockback
This is the shield bash type attack, it is a melee cone and doesn't actually do much damage). BAB has said that shield have (exactly) one melee attack.
Castle is on record as saying he doesn't think stalkers will get Shields. -

I disagree with Banes strictly being a melee character,
[/ QUOTE ]
We are not saying "banes are strictly a melee character".
However, thier highest damage and fastest attacks are melee.
If you focus on ranged attacks you will be much safer. However your damage will be much worse. Ironically, you still wont be as safe as a Widow.
Comparing to NPC bane spiders is meaningless. NPC bosses have far more hp, and a much higher damage multiplyer.
And Wide Area Web Genade is not a PC bane spider power. The chance of disorentate on Bash is only 10%, Pulverise 20% and Shatter 30%, it is mag 2, so is only likely to stun a minion. PC banes also do not get Nullifer Mace, Clobber, or Whirling Mace. I.e. contol options available to bane spiders are minimal, less even than a Mace tanker.
There are a great many ways to build a Bane spider.
1) You can build as a melee fighter but a Night Widow will do it better
2) You can build as a ranged fighter but a crab spider or fortunata will do it better
3) You can build as a pet master but a crab spider will do it better
4) You can build as a debuffer but a crab spider will do it better
5) You can build as a buffer but the 3 other SoA will be equally good -

Bane Spiders have enough ST damage/buffs/debuffs to take out an EB but lack the defenses to live long enough to do so without a full tray of purple insps
[/ QUOTE ]
Edited for truth. If you want to solo EBs and AVs then a Night Widow is your best option.

they aren't as bad as everyone makes them out to be.
[/ QUOTE ]
People aren't making them out to be bad. They are just inferior to the other SoA options. There is a very big difference. -
The tech now exists that if they set the EA KB toggle to "do not inform mobs" you could use it without breaking hide.
-
You can sneek up on alomost anything if you approach from behind.
If a mob has +perception it will see non-stealthed players fronm further away than normal. You should have played enough to realise rikti drones don't.
I don't think any other mob works like the rikti drones though (arachnos and PPD drones are normal). It's because they where in the game before +/- perception powers. -
Actually, rikti drone don't follow the normal stealth rules. They don't have +perception, they just ignore hide completely, so they will se a hidden target at the same distance and an unhidden one. the amount of stealth makes no difference.
Snipers, on the other hand, follow normal rules, the more stealth you have the closser you can get before they see you. -
I up fr this.
Glistening Gold, PB (mostly human, occasionally dwarf) -
Castle says it was because of a timing bug.
My take would be that in the time between the seeker attacking an the detonation going of the mob would often have moved more than 7 feet.
Just have to see how it plays to determine if it is an improvement or not.
NB a 43% increase in radius but a 100% increase in area. -
1) Banes are sub par relative to the other SoA.
2) Some people won't team with ATs/powersets they think are sub par.
3) Bane spiders do not function as well without a team.
4) Put 1, 2 and 3 together. -
I would take Tac Training: Assault, Poison Ray, or grab Hasten much earlier.
-
Electric Armor is the secondary, not the primary.
It won't be quite so bad if the hp buff now testing goes live, but it will still be the weakest stalker secondary by a long shot. -
Yup. A proc is just a power, and most "inform mobs" I.e. draw agro.
And any power that is set to "inform mobs" will suppress Hide powers. -
Eh, Bayonet? Thats a rifle power. It has redraw. It does nice damage but it will actually hurt your DPS if you include it in your attack chain. If you are going to take any rifle power, then it is fairly dumb not to make it Venom Grenade, which is available at the same level as Bayonet, and give 20% res, -40% tox res (mace melee attacks have a toxic damage component).
-
If you do Brick's missions, he will introduce you to the next contact in the story arc.
-
Serious changes to all stalker powesets on an individual basis = never going to happen, way to much work.
What they are doing, is moving away from the dependance on AS for damage, putting stalkers in the same league as other melee types with regard to S/L damage, and moving away from depending on damage for survivability.
A quick back of envelope calculation reveals this to be an avarage of about +45% PvE damage buff for a "scrapping" stalker on a full team that doesn't have a mezzer. -
Expect EM nerfs. This is only stage 1.
-
Scrappers? Not quite. Brutes, maybe depending on circumstances, but that's as it should be, since scrappers and brutes have more suvivability.
-
It's a blaster pet, not a controller pet. It's not meant to be as good.
