Quote:cool story broJust wanted to share a little something with the Triumph Community
On Spet 19th , I completed my first half marathon. 13.1 miles.
In a time of 2h 23 min, beating my goal of 2h 30.
Over this year I am down about 45 lbs, and my BP/Heart rate and cholesterol are all much better than they were.
So if you haven't seen me on much, its been because I have been in the outside, grinding miles on the pavement.
Got another one coming up fast.
See you all in game soon. -
yea, KM in pvp does about 1.1k damage slotted with procs. its pretty amazingly broken right now and won't get fixed.

Quote:put it in sprint?
With the irritating Stealth IO changes, you now have to AS while in
Fly, which is a royal pita -
i think it'd DR to something like 46%. but you have no DDR with it and i'd hate to see what you gave up in order to get that much.
-
you get powers for the next 5 levels whenever you ex anywhere.
example, if i ex to level 30 on my blaster i would still get boost range if i took it at 35.
but honestly, don't pvp. its not worth it. -
Quote:but see thats just experience and the people you're raiding with. I mean I remember when itfs first came out the first few i was on took on average hour and a half just because alot of us didn't know what we were doing. now of course we knock em out in 20 minutes. but my point is that as time passes the prep time and planning for stuff decreases. it'll still be hard but you'll only spend 10 minutes getting stuff as apposed to 45.here's the thing, though: I love the Rikti Raids. I even had fun at a recent Hami Raid now that I know they've found an alternative plan to "this is the point where everyone dies".
It's not raiding I don't like, it's the idea of planning taking the bulk of the play time. I swear we were sitting around for 45 minutes getting everything set up for what I'm now hearing would have been only a 15 minute team, had we not gotten the wrong AV. -
Quote:true, but you could also do something like making the temp powers more worth while so they're actually worth taking(rather, they're the reason to run the trial and not a consolation prize) so that farming it wont be a problem, making the rewards based on difficulty instead of time taken.I'm not entirely certain that failures are factored into the reward calculations; only completions. If that's the case, then only the handful of groups able to pull if off are counting, and they'll more than likely do it quickly.
Or, they could bring back base raids and give CoP a purpose again and give IoPs as a reward. but that would make sense so it probably wont happen. -
Quote:I didn't say it coudlnt' be done, just that I hadn't seen it :PThen you obviously missed this thread. I was on a half PuG blue side CoP last night with the Storm AV, and we rocked it in less than 14 minutes with absolutely no use of temporary powers.
but honestly that is probably the exception rather than the rule. the point still stands that the trail needs some work and there could have been a number of other things done to make it better. this just seems like a quick fix that i don't really think was warrented, of course im not a dev i don't know but still.
Quote:If it's taking 14 minutes. . . yeah that reward isn't increasing anytime soon.
Which is a shame.
the trial is hard, and thats a good thing, but it was still hard even with nukes and the reward is laughable inspite of the time it takes. -
Quote:if thats the case, then there could/should have been other tweaks to the trial. a reward increase, maybe a change to the storm AV, amongst other things. this makes the trail much harder to run (i don't think i've seen a completion where nukes weren't used) and for the same reward, I don't think theres a reason to run it now.Mostly math, AFAIK.
24 players x 24 nukes applied to 1 AV = imbalance in encounter.
At least that's how it's been explained by players, as there has been no red name elaboration on this change despite repeated requests by the general playerbase. I'm unsurprised, honestly. -
Quote:this made me lol
Warburg Missiles can no longer be used in the Cathedral of Pain
also thanks for the pvp bug fixes in this patch. -
i also think its funny that thats the only change they made to CoP. figured it would have been made easier if they took nukes out of it.
-
because theres no point in leveling anything up quickly to make use of double xp?
-
from the patch notes.
Quote:GLHF with this nowWarburg Missiles can no longer be used in the Cathedral of Pain. -

yea the max wasn't increased so its still pretty slow. not to mention all the -fly floating around. ss/sj is just much much more versatile.

Quote:Called itThank you to everyone who provided feedback and suggestions for this event.
I thoroughly apologize for the bungled up mess this event became.Thank you to the two people who did show up, I appreciate it.
Maybe another time.
(Hears Tam pounding nail into Triumph PvP coffin.......)
or maybe as Bob Hope used to say "Thanks for the memories........" -
Quote:you do realize that mac already started a much more accurate, elaborate, and a more well thought out and all around better post about fixing pvp. ya know, the one that is sticky'd at the top of this section.A. This is not my only account. |
B. I have played since the beginning and am old as well as mature enough not to care about something like my reg date.
C. You are the ony who clearly does not understand how the powers work or even tested them in PVP application just by what you said ABOVE the bolded text, much less in it.
D. Furthermore, I would suggest you grow up, or as it is very possible due to the way you responded, keep acting your young age.
Clearly you did not read the disclaimer, as it asked for mature comments.
I say, -1 for you troll.
also, psi blasters are OP because of their delayed damage and long range attacks and has little to nothing to do with how they're resisted as well as AS not nearly as bad as you are describing since it was gutted in i13.
honestly there is a lot of wrong in this thread and doesn't address any of the issues that currently exist. (they need to be removed, not toned down) -
at a glance, that build is way more expensive than it needs to be. theres no reason to slot 2 full glad jav sets. acc/dam and proc is enough the frankenslot a deva set. the build needs more procs in general. cinders is pretty pointless. and you have no escape power i.e. why cold/levi master is a better way to go. melt armor isn't doing much of anything with DR factored in. also 41 kb min.
really if you're going to spend that much cash, you'd be better off slotting something else. -
here ya go here's my entry.
RPers are taking over coh so now the amazing hero, I don't love lamp, has turned into a villain and become and cat gurl in order to attain money and free cyberz.
moneh plz -
Quote:fire/ is pretty bad and if your just starting, reroll mind. it has much better defensive tools. fire is very AoE oriented and imps are pretty useless.Im not good at ranged players and im getting bored with melee. I rolled a fire fire dom hoping to have some fun. I was looking for some advice on how to slot and a single target chain.
I'm thinking and have read in the past to cap s/l defense, recharge is good at around 70%, and max range. Speaking of which what is max range for a dom?
I want to mainly pvp but also want to be viable in SF/TF's. My chain for single target would be: embrace of fire> flares> fire blast> char> flares> blaze. I also really like fire epic for melt armour Can you guys help me out with some advice?
Also: Is the search broke on this forum
Thanks in advance.
don't try and cap defense cuz there is no point. build for HP, rech, range, and damage.
go cold or levi mastery. -
