Another note: Time isn't really an issue - The best one could hope for is once a week, but I can't expect that. Whenever they get done, they get done

So, I've been thinking lately that I wanna make a webcomic (I know, I'm a loser ). Problem is, I can't draw. Like, at all. None, nada, zip. So I had a thought: Maybe someone else likes to draw, and would be interested in making a webcomic! Genius, I know. So here's a few idea things:

Art Style: I was thinking.. kind of a cross between Penny Arcade and Cntl+Alt+Del - kinda cartoony looking, but with instantly reconizable and unforgettable characters. But, hey, you're the artist, right? I'm open to new suggestions.

Story: I'm in no way planning on writing everything and having you draw what I tell you to. I'd love to collaberate with you and come up with stories. I wanted to make a comic based on the Forums, which would hit recent CoH events and the general zaniness of the place. But, again, I'm very open to new ideas.

So if anyone's interested, please contact me via PM, global tell at @Mr. Samoa, or just posting here. Pay is nothing, but you'll get to have that sense of pride knowing that you're the co-creator of something that will no doubt be loved by everyone!

I remember running around as a Rikti during the invasion. Except I wasn't running around (can we say chain held?) I think we had ka-zillion hit points. We also spoke fUnNyee lIKe ThIs. You heroes couldn’t stop laughing at us.

I remember when I was checking on the Hamidon to see if it spawned correctly. We had to keep an eye for spawning errors at the time. Sadly, I forgot to hide. It couldn't kill me, so my screen was COVERED with de-buff icons....probably about 30 full rows of them. It wouldn't let me go. I had to log.

I remember a blaster who didn't realize I was talking to him in tells about a problem he reported. I followed him (while visible) down the streets of Steel Canyon trying to get his attention. Finally he pivoted and said "Why is this police bot following me?” (Sorry...I didn't mean to spook ya)

At the basic level, it's the same as the '04 event - you go around Paragon (or the Rougle Isles) and click on doors. You can either get a Trick or a Treat.

Tricks mean something (pumpkins, ghosties, witches, vampires, or wolves) will pop out and try to take your candy (attack you).

Treat means you get an Inspiration, a temporary power (Rock) or, this year, special salvage that you can trade in for a 5th costume slot.

Just thought I'd drop by and say howdy to those who remember me.

Notice of this year's Halloween event has brought back some memories. I sure wish I was doing the Times for this one--sorta follow-up on my Malleus Mundi stuff with Jackson Turner (long may he live!).

Unfortunately, I'm no longer in the gaming industry and am just a regular gamer like you guys. I'm still writing but for a whole different industry now--high tech stuff for hotels and resorts. It's interesting work and it pays better. More to the point, the company I work for hasn't laid off anyone since they started in 1952.

Okay, gotta run. Y'all take care! Enjoy the event.

But Croatoa is a name that has no meaning to city planners.

It's not like when a Salamancan comes down to Paragon for a trip they say "Oh yeah, I live up in Croatoa, which is this crazy place where the spirit world is trying to take over. Walking pumpkins and all that."

I see the name Croatoa being more like the hazard zone nicknames. They're used in common speech when talking about the zone in detail, but it doesn't replace its official name.

An official email will be sent out the day the event begins, and should include the specific time the event will conclude on the 1st.

Anyway, I wasn't in Beta (CoH, anyway), but I did show up a bit before I1 (June '04). I remember things like:

-Waiting for the ticker above the tram to change to Steel Canyon so I could go

-Rularuu invasion, of course

-Gilgamesh & the Paragon Times

-One of my friends losing his character name in the whole Marvel thing

-There was a helluvalot less stupid people and when you joined a random team, you had fun and became friends with your teammates. I miss some of my first friends, who are sadly not around anymore...
