Its radius is so small that I have to run up and hug my enemies, putting myself at risk in the processes, and it needs accuracy in it to hit anything above my level to provide me any benefit..
There is absolutely no need for extra slots in health or stamina if you are running perma dp. If you really felt like it and have an end hog, miracle/numina in health, 2 end 1 shifter in stam, or just 1 end in stam.

DP is REALLY that good. If you aren't getting mileage out of it, it has more to do with your play style than the strength of the power. It is just flat out stupidly good.

Immobs are a major source of damage with reactive.... If you can spam immob, and you go immob -> pit -> sleet -> storm you can amass quite a lot of damage to pretty much everything.
  3. I liked the arc a lot, excluding the very first mish where I just got utterly beat down depending on what char I played. I am still peeved that they killed lava damage.
  4. Praetorian hami avatar in underground trial was pretty frickin awesome. Id love to see what hami himself would be like....
  5. I dunno. 20 levels was not good in GR. I am still pissed about that. I really liked GR. A lot. I utterly despised how empty it was. I could maybe group with 1 person a day if I was lucky.

Redside sucks too. Why? Nobody plays. Blueside rewards are just THAT MUCH BETTER. Any blueside TF generates sometimes as much as 2-3 times as many merits as an equivalent redside TF. Who wants to play with nobody for worse rewards? Just because story is better? Sorry, that just isnt acceptable.
  6. I had only a single -4 kb in my tw/da scrapper, and I had no problems with knockback. Permahasten imo is a lot better than having an extra -4 kb. A lot might disagree, but you are a stalker, and not intending to be hit. Given your defense, and the fact you would hardly be getting hit in the first place, is it really worth it blowing your hasten-driven astrikes for just a few points kb protect?

I think, based on Arcanavilles numbers the other day, that the market is doing quite well.
  8. You had david bowie in your 1hit1nders... and im sorry, he was far from a one hit wonder. He had many many many hit songs.
  9. People continuously intentionally overlook the basic fact that conventional purples are better than SBE. Time and time and time again.

You can boost a conventional purple. You can not boost an SBE. This makes one VASTLY better than the other. SBE purples are only for casual people trying to gain an edge they dont have but aren't interested in minmax supertoons.

Do not presume to speak for others when all you can do is speak for yourself.

Several have already indicated in this thread that they like the set. Do you speak for them when you say "people don't like it"?
  11. I have a tw/dark/body/cardiac scrapper who kicks quite a lot of ***. And pretty frickin tough to kill too. TONS of set bonuses, but way over softcap range/melee and huge resists.

    Elec/Psi/Ice

S/L only defense on a dom is kind of, well, not great. It is really nice, but late game content is largely energy/psi damage, so you might want to consider that.

I run reactive/rebirth/spiritual for my elec/psi/ice, and don't use hoarfroast at all. It is far too busy a char to spend time clicking on it, when more control and more dp gives a much better result all around (imo).

Just a point, if you have an extra slot, shove it in superior. 2 endmods level 45 gets you 9end instead of 5. Thats ~10% increase in end, pretty good imo!

Fallacy. Most AOEs have a diamater sufficient to handle grouping of a 0/8 spawn, excluding some pbaoes. However, many pbaoes even have a diamater sufficient to tag all mobs in a 0/8 spawn anyway without them moving. If you disagree, then I suggest you do some testing.

Unlike other click effects, T9s start blinking LONG ahead of time, I think at least 30 seconds early or some such.

Again, they're not ideal, but they give you a fair chance. Compare that to, say, Blaster Nukes which pretty much pull your pants down after you use them. If you don't kill everything, you're vulnerable, and there's no way in hell the game will let you kill everything in a single shot every time. Blaster Nukes are designed to be a gamble, and one that the game loads against you. God Mode powers are an opportunity, Nukes are a roll of the dice.

And that's NOW. Before, they used to stun you for five seconds after you used them.
Ok, catch is, if you are in a vicious fight with an AV or giant monster, you may not whack it before your 3 minutes is up. I totally agree with the bit on nukes. You said it very precisely.

In DA if you are +3 it isn't a problem. If you aren't +3, it is a problem. Content outside of DA though tends to be pretty trivial with a build like this. I wonder how it will fare in future content where we may be facing +4-+6 content possibly.
  17. They already mentioned cross-server stuff in the survey and it was mentioned somewhere by a redname.

Yeah, this stops me from taking 90% of the tier9s. I just hate doing something doing something doing something and then getting flattened because I used a tier9 in a panic.

It is just easier to chew on inspirations than to use the t9. Moreover, since you can convert, it makes most sense to just autoconvert with a macro to get the inspirations your char needs most at any given time. As a result, the added defense, resist, damage, or other bits are all renedered useless by your ability to convert inspirations to what you need to survive.

The two exceptions to this are crashless nukes and self-rezes, both of which do not nuke your ability to continue fighting when the effect wears off.

I disagree 100%. There are chars, like dark doms, which can leverage a very significant amount of control with their immob, including -tohit, -fly, -immob, and some damage to boot. While you complain as a tanker that you cant herd them, maybe you should consider there is no need for you to herd them, but simply taunt and engage, The game is not all about taunt-herd-kill. There are multiple ways to engage the foe, and the significant amount of control a dom under dom can leverage more than makes up for the inconvenience of you having to walk 3 feet from mob to mob. For sure, your taunt has an aoe, so they are all focused on you anyway.
  20. I thought so too, but quad xp (8xp during double xp weekend) is just too good to pass up. I went from 22-42 in under an hour, so... for a char I was just slotting with SOs and had no intention of slotting sets into, this got me to a point where I finally was end-stable, as I certainly wasn't before I got body mastery. Whats the point of having a char thats not fun to play? This saved me a horrible period of time leveling and not having fun.

edit: I did not buy the 8 hour one. OMG that is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO expensive!
  21. If it were half price, or 25% off, would definitely buy. At 700, I am waiting for whatsit packs. But totally love it.

Don't you think this is a very anti-client thing to say? When people burn tokens points and cash to get something you can get by _just doing the same thing_, why should they make it easier? The wolf is considered a bonus, not the main focus of the packs.

If you think it is so important to buy the wolf, it should be the cost of 19200 points. Thats 24 packs at 80 points * 10 (1 in 242 packs). I would feel this is appropriate, because it is the _only_ cost you can offer it without the superpack audience feeling ripped off, just like you feel ripped off when they buy SBEs. Door swings both ways.

This. Reward tokens are kind of precious. You never know what might show up. Points stuff; well, you can always buy points or just use free points.

edit: I made 1.7 bil off merits/converters I got from my packs. I am happy.

Interestingly, I have hoarded my inf... First bil in 8 years of playing.
  24. Gee, are we getting water blasting, affinity, and bio armor? MUHAHAHAHA.

    This survey was frickin awesome.

    So much win....
