Ok, so far, our characters have been at least somewhat interactive with what is going on both sides. I wonder if redside you get to off states, while blueside, well, I dunno. Blueside is for (insert insulting euphemism here).

Quote:Wait what? I22 is called Death Incarnate? Hmmm.Could it be possible the following elements play a factor in 6 & 7?
Malleus Mundi
Malaise
Shadow Shard
SSA#7 comes out in March(?) according to the schedule which possibly aligns with I22 (Death Incarnate)?
I'm not expecting Statesman to stay dead, but instead a master plan using him as a device to cause more problems for us to overcome. -
I have a loyalist "hero" and a straight up arachnos agent (two of them). I dont want my ability to play straight up villains tromped on. If they kill off Cole so completely that I can no longer be a praetorian loyalist, or an arachnos loyalist, I will be very unhappy.

OMG. Def sweep, AoD, whirl, regular sweep. Everything is dead but those 2 guys with a little life. What do you do? Anything at this point is a waste of endurance. Suckage. I am thinking just drag them to the next spawn.
edit: I have been known to there doing nothing to let death aura kill them. -
I currently run all native toggles available at 32, + combat jumping. I have a num and a miracle slotted, and a perf shifter (with no extra in my stamina yet). One of my toggles is slotted just with a reactive end io, and my stealth is slotted with a def/res, lotg def/end, lotg def (all three boosted 2-3). My reactive end is boosted. My armors are slotted kind of sucky, because I wanted really badly to get ranged defense and melee defense right away. I have 1 6slot 32 mako, 1 6 slot oblit 32, 1 4slot erad 32, and 1 2 slot zephyr. This gets me 17% ranged def, and just 11% melee def. But with two def sweeps I can get 41% melee def. Usually I just opt for 1 def sweep for 26% and killing as fast as possible. I do not have any end problems at this time, except against either +3 mobs (im dead?), +2 mobs w/bosses, or ebs. I can handle +1/4, but 0/4 is faster and way more fun. My death shroud is just slotted with erad chance for damage.
edit: oops, incomplete sentence.
I am going to farm tips/amerits and farm the WTF and the weekly wwd for lots of merits (to convert) and 1 freebie merit. When I am fully slotted I will go to 50. I do realize that with only 30-36% ranged def I will never be awesome at trials, but well, hopefully someone will boost me with something. Ice or fire armor or whatever would go a long way to surviving. Plus I am going for resillient for the boost to my res.
Quote:Update on my scrapper:
Level 31 and I feel like he's really getting solid. All on common IOs for now, with the exception of theft of essence and a KB proc.
Happily soloing on x4, learning to use my inspirations all over again. Ran through the first three parts of the SSA last night and the longbow gave me a little trouble. I only run three toggles for now. Mez, S/L, and Death Shroud. -
sweet. i bought some sets of lotg that i want to mix with non-attuned sets for maximum grunt. wasnt sure if they worked or not. yayy!
-
-
Can you mix attuned/non attuned enh and still get the full bonuses for the set?
-
I finally got my tw/da kicking *** at 32. Changing some things around (mostly in how I attack) got me functional even at level 18. I no longer have any endurance problems, and I did not slot for endredux in my attacks outside of whats in my sets. My biggest problem was _excessive_ use of AoD. OMG. 16 end per swipe unmodded? OMG.
-
Then you would be horribly wrong, as you are underestimating the filthy rich. :|
Quote:They have dropped some, but my point was that I don't think it will have the radical impact to prices that some people do. Short term will be a bigger shift, and then it will level out. If the higher sought after purples drop by 30% in price, but the sleeps, etc, increase 30%, it isn't going to change the market as we know it. I actually agree with you on the effects long term, just saying I don't think it will be as extreme as others. -
TM and Apex arent just awesome, they are awesome on steroids. 40 merits for a run? 80 if you do both in one night? 2 full on amerits if you do 2 of 1 and 1 of another in one night? Wow yeah. Even if you just do 2 each night, in 5 days you have 8 amerits. Itll cost you 160m tho. Alternatively, you could just buy with regular merits 2 or 3 high value recipes, sell those, make bank, buy an amerit or two, and get something good with cash left over.
Yes please, more absurdly high value TFs with a reasonable timeframe for completion please. -
Color that jazz bright/dark purple and claim you are a holdover from the Dom world where they don't get the pretty toys.
Quote:That's how my spines/dark/blaze is built, mostly. Definitely a couple of considerations for endurance in the build, but it's really all about Ageless +rec.I wouldn't call it a "good" build per se, but it's definitely fun.
I really want to do a TW/DA brute, but I've already done /DA as an "organic nano-swarm" and I'm stretching to find a concept other than yet another graveknight/dark lord/shadow master that isn't blatantly stealing your "Sand" look or someone else's "Water" look (saw a really good one in game).
Was thinking maybe psi? What are some other interesting /DA ideas? -
With shifter and miracle and 1 end redux in my 4 attack powers, running all 3 shields and the cloak and the aura of Doooooooom on my DA, I am not having end problems at 28. I do not however have haste.
-
Does the new alpha that maxes at 27% resist allow you to go over 75% resist max of scrappers? Also, how does that fit with DA slotted 1 res, 1 res/end, 1 end? I am trying to save slots wherever possible, and reactive armor seems like a poor choice for melee/ranged def. A full gladiators armor set seems like a better choice at 2.5% ranged, but theres no way I can afford that at all. Titanium coating at 5 slots seems a much better solution than 4 slotting 2 DA resists for half the melee def, and just 1.3 ish ranged def. It is at least 1 slot cheaper. I want to maximize my resist input and maximize my value from the 27% resist.
-
I have a TW/DA, and I have no problems with end at 28. I only have two more toggles (tough/weave) to add, but I dont have a numina yet, pp, or my second shifter. It seems to be a lot more fun with the pbaoe damage and spots to slot more +ranged and +melee def sets.
-
I like tradable ATOs from the packs. If I get one I don't want, I want to trade one for one I do want. Maybe only one of my chars wants ATOs, not all of them.
-
Wow, pity party much? Buy 3 purples from the nurse, eat them, jump out side. Eat 4 or 5 if you are concerned. Plenty of other people seem to have no problem leaving the hospital and getting back into the fray. Your excessive response seems to indicate a lack of experience in the trial.
Quote:After repeated trips to the hospital due to this on the successful trial I did on beta, all I can say is:
There is no <CENSORED> way that I want to subject myself to this crap.
This should never have been allowed. The player exits the hospital with no recourse and instantly dies. -
I had a blue/artifact deck that I could deck someone with round 2, within reason. I don't think I could chew through more than 100 cards, but I could always try. 60 was trivial on round 3.
-
4 perf shifters? Wow. Yeah, I am running the 4 oblits, but one is in death shroud or whatever, and 3 are in the actual pbaoe attacks in the set. Defsweep runs erad, and the heal runs toe +end +acc/rech, plus 4spot of erad. I am running a lyso in def sweep plus a 7.5 rech, along with end redux targeted erad. Unfortunately, my 3 st attacks are slotted with makos bites.... I just noticed they have very low end boost as well. That is juse 45%ish end redux on makos bite after boosting. Oblits are a paltry ~20% after boosting. I really don't want to run cardiac, but instead the one that gives 27% resist at t4. What kind of layouts would be good maximising both ranged def and melee def, specifically?
Quote:My opinion is that you will have no choice but cardiac.
On the Beta server I tooled around with a TW/WP Brute with QR, Stamina, Superior Conditioning, Physical Perfection, and T4 Agility Core - and I still ran out of end frequently. (That's 4 perf shifter procs, numi proc & miracle proc - QR & Stamina 3 to 4 slotted).
Granted I had 6 piece Obliteration sets in the PBAoEs (I wanted to see if it was sustainable, Oblits have +rech and +1.88% SM/L Def)
Now, if you have a low rech build, and you franken slot your AoEs with Eradications/Cleaving Blows (which isn't a bad idea, since energy damage is one of your weak points) - you might be able to get away without it - but I really think Cardiac is the best option here. -
Yep, TW/DA. Two massive end eaters. But DA is remarkably click free (just click once your heal), and allows for a slower pace of slaughter due to a non-end costing stun. TOE +END plus tons of recov ios can make up for cost of end. I see it being somewhat less clicky than elec, and getting more for its money out of +softcapped melee and 35%ish ranged def. If I have to, I can always just get cardiac.
-
Ew god, oblits only have a quad with end redux. If I have 4 oblits (death shroud, aod, whirlingsmashthing, that-other-not-defsweep-aoe), that is going to chew up a whole lot of endurance, even with pp, 2 shifters, numina, miracle, and some ios in stamina. :|
-
Yes, TW is very heavy on the end use.
Quote:Okay, so aside from the cheesiest title ever...
I'm stuck on a good Titan build. Originally I'm BS/WP (which I'm loving) but wouldn't mind something a bit flashier. I'm also a holy warrior based RPer, so while I'm not up to date on the technical aspects, I would appreciate both an RP and technical reason for picking my secondary, if it's okay.
Currently I'm tossed up between...all of them except Dark/Shield.
What I need is survivability, I'm figuring Titan Weapons will give me plenty of damage, but I figure it'll be a heavy stamina drain. -

Well, it is trivially easy to softcap s/l/e/n with TW/EA due to all of the erads and kincoms you can slot, as well some interesting choices for def/res. But, it renders one power mostly useless; Def sweep becomes pretty pointless except maybe as a LotG +7.5 mule. Is there any way to get more use out of that power, and if so, how? And is the +resist destiny power enough to make EA significantly effective in Incarnate level fights? I am trying to decide between this and two completely different brutes. I really like TW/EA at 32 on test, running on just SOs, but I am concerned about past 51+. Thanks.
