There's been a lot of things that have been stated over the years, that have been mentioned by dev's here and there, about things that would happen but never did or has yet to come to fruition and is actually planned. I'd like to list them here. I don't think I have 10. Please feel free to add to this....

    In no particular order....

    1. The Vault
    2. Tearing Down/Removal of the War Walls
    3. Cathedral of Pain
    4. Working Arena Tourney's
    5. Arena Wagering/Gambling (I really thought this was a feature of i4, but looking at old notes, I swear things have been truncated)
    6. Incarnate EAT
    7. IoP's
    8. Resetting the Chess Style Ranking System
    9. Working 75 vs 75
    10. A reason why HO's reduced to 33% even though ED was eventually put into place, even though the reason for reducing it was because there was no ED.

    At the Comic Con panel, they highlighted some of what they want to do with Going Rogue, and a few of the things were reinvent the low-level experience, add a real endgame, and make ways for level 50s to get even more powerful. No idea what those entail specifically but I'm not holding my breath.

    Are you serious???? I want this so called blaster that has 3000 HP, and can get to 75+% resistance. Oh and dont forget the taunt. I want taunt on my blaster.

    Ah, and here we go.


    Everyone is simply "jaded" by the "gross" survivability of Regen and Invuln Tanks Hero Side. In reality, many/most other Melee Toons DO NOT have that amount of survivability...at all. Especially if we start looking "Villain-Side". Vill side, you have about "one" good PvP Brute Secondary, and that's Fire Armor, and even that has many achilles heels in which it can be defeated.


    Take EA and ELA Brutes for example. Anyone care to talk about how "survivable" WP is? What about DA? How's those SR's these days?


    Just because "Regens" and "Invln Tanks" run amok in zones these days and outnumber other sets, don't be jaded by "their" performances. In reality, I've seen many Blasters have MUCH better survivability than the other "less popular" sets out there, especially when you start to factor in Hibern00b and Hoarfrost.


    Maybe the other melee armors need buffed/fixed in pvp? I dunno, that's not my point. My point is, that Blasters are currently more survivable than "many" of the Melee AT's you could take into pvp. Some of that survivability comes through their sheer damage output, while a good portion of it comes from just simply being tough as nails...and that's the problem. You shouldn't have an AT that, while solo, can not only deal "MASSIVE [u]RANGED[u]" damage, but also survive as well as just about anything short of a Tanker. That to me, and anyone else with a level head on this, is simply borked and wrong.

    Blasters have:

    - the highest dmg
    - no longer have the least HP.
    - easiest to cap HP
    - can attack when mezzed
    - can cap squishy resistance
    - bonus dmg from defiance

    well i was that dom you fought ( not to be obnoxious) and beat you 8-0 or something . Kb helped me do that a lot. Blasters who use power thrust will also give you that problem. I would see you build but im on a mac so no go.

    And i think your the only one who has done that to me really, against build #1. No other mind/fire has been able to come close to thrashing(actually i think you might have been the first to beat me) me like you did. But like I said in that duel, it was your attack chain combo that was giving me fits (was unable to land a heal at the beginning or end of your attack chain.(kb,placate, leaping out of perception range being the culprits), and after falling behind like 4-0 i was just playin on tilt. You're actually the reason why I respec'd...then i got thrashed by an ill/therm with this new build, because i couldnt keep my toggles up, even though elec/therms havent posed a problem in the past, this ill/therm shut off my ability to keep my toggles up and keep my attacks constant, with non pb holds and perma he.

    havent had any problems with blasters w/power thrust since they can't confuse or tk me nor can they do the same amount of dmg that doms can do...especially doms that double stack PR and hit me at will.

  9. I think I jacked up my build last night....Got 1 respec left. My first build, did reasonably well against all the current fotm's, however I was getting tired of getting tossed around like a rag doll so I went and got 38 kb protection. After doing that last night, my stats in HP, DMG, Recovery, and Mezz Resistance took a hit. Most noticeably my Recovery and Mezz Resistance just isn't what it was, i can barely attack, heal,keep toggles up and mezz(holds) last longer then I'd like....just so I wouldnt get KB'd....thinkin about going back to build 1, which was at least survivable even though i'd get kb'd. Should I try incorporating some pvp io's?

  10. When looking at people's builds sometimes in game, there info appears and sometimes they don't appear in zone or not in zone, even if on same faction. How do they do that?

    Yup, pretty much it. Blasters are a 1-man team wrecking house already. Without a team, you're pretty SoL in beating one. Sometimes, a really well played dominator coupled with a really well made build can take one out solo, but it's not common. Elec/Therms can too, if they are lucky enough to survive long enough for the end drain to take effect.


    Imho, Blasters are way over the top right now in pvp performance.

    Good luck with that. I've got 4 rad blast toons and a pb...and getting them for each attack was a beeeotch.

    Not so hard to get Lady Grey's and Achilles.

    The thing i had disliked about mine is choosing between do i want perception or a heal of some sort. I was actually surprised with the end drain HL does after it got buffed a few issues back.i've been wanting to try a soulmastery version of my build just to see pb with end drains.

    not slotting for range, would not increase your range, now would it? if you took that power and just used procs...like the other poster said they would do.

  24. I built a fort with 67% Dmg Bonus. Needless to say, it still sucked and the hardest attack it could muster was 134 w/aim against any squishy with a res shield. so i gave up.
