    the release date of i17?
    Will there be new powers besides demon summoning and dual pistols
    when will i19 be out....

    Why even answer that question? These questions are like the equivalent of Larry King Live journalism.

  7. with the 30% boost to damage...i think you'll start seeing more rad/psy in duels (if anyone does that anymore) and maybe some in zone...

    was never a fan of taking phase on a rad/psi...if you cant constantly attack on a rad/psi....might as well be dead.

    power mastery is great with cp and pbu and tf...but I feel cp and pbu just dont come back fast enough....so I like Psi Mastery equally, because of Dominate. 3 Procs (Hold Purple Proc, Range Dmg Purple Proc ,PVP range damage proc) 3 nucs. Thats pretty much autohit(dominate seems to hit regardless of defense) unresistable dmg on top of dominate's pvp dmg (which is higher than any of your secondary attacks you will be taking I believe lol) every 5-7 secs. Toss in ef, 30% vigilance boost, AM, Assault, and dmg bonuses and you should be looking at dmg bonus around 98-123% and -38% res on top of that.

    what i like power mastery for is for fighting elec/therms.

    The devs don't answer questions and give fluff statements and turn to marketing for their closed lips.

    If for once they can answer a legitimate PVP question or address bug fixes...perhaps it will not be a waste of time.

    We already all know there's gonna be precanned answers for:

    Incarnate system.
    Side switching specifics.
    New Powers on slate.
    The next batch of proliferation.
    PVP
    PVP zones
    PVP mini-games
    PVP bug fixes
    PVP drops
    Bases

    And who's idea is to hold it on a facebook page? Black Pebble? Why on facebook? Do you think everyone wants to be on facebook?

    Like someone else said you have forums. USE THEM.

    Some of you may already have painted an image of me in your minds. I can reassure you that I do not have a cat (I am allergic to them), I do not wear suits to work, and although I could lose a few pounds, I am in pretty good shape.


    My hope is that by getting a red name on the board, I can show you that I am a fan and I will listen to you. Perhaps we can even have some interesting, new discussions.

    I cannot promise you my undivided attention sadly, as I have many diabolical marketing schemes to inflict on the teeming masses. However, I will do my best to listen to all of you, and answer what questions I can. And although you may not see my direct hand in things, you will soon see the fruits of my devious plans very, very soon.

    As a heads up, if you ask me questions about powers, art, distribution, retail, stories, billing, Latin, sales, bugs, dairy products, accounting, singing, costumes, anything that happened from 2004-2009, conventions, PvP, design, or algebra, not only will I not be able to answer them, but I’ll feel pretty bad about myself. I can only answer questions that directly involve my job.

    So what do I do? Long story short, I try my best to make sure that everyone knows what a great game City of Heroes/Villains is and that we never forget that our most important part of our game is youthe players. I don’t program, I don’t draw and I don’t write great stories. You already know all of those people. I kind of do everything else. The one thing I can promise you is that I will do my best to earn your respect.

  10. Running win 7 64bit. When running the updater I just get "Error writing -1 bytes...etc" Tried changing the User account control settings but to no avail. Any other solutions out there?
  11. psi/ems in team ya pretty much the best blaster.

    psi/ems in a duel...not the most powerful. It's also funny to hear when psi/ems lose to something else they call it op.

    well...looking at it...it's nothing like Sebastian Shaw or Strong Guy....it looks more like Ken and Ryu....probably change the name to Chi Melee.
  13. I like 2 acc/dmg HO's 1 dmg/rech IO (preferably purple) + whatever purple dmg procs can be slotted, followed by pvp dmg procs, and last resort regular dmg io procs that are sm/lth or psi (as i think those are the only ones that are unresistable)
  14. i like my dark/ice defender killing psi/em's before a psi/em can kill me.....=P Its quite funny actually when they die from ice blasts. defender version. Could Ice blast use a buff...sure. I've just learned to accept the non logical logic that went into making bib suck. so i replace it with dominate! =P.
  15. Couple other ideas I had....

    Defiance 3.0 - Blaster damage is commensurate with the amount of endurance they have. Remove current buff blasters get from Defiance 2.0 including attacking while mezzed.

    DMG Base <----> Potential Cap
    END 0 <----> 100%

    I think in this system, buffers aren't meaningless. I'm also on the bandwagon that there should be a cap on the amount of buff you can get though from external sources, and that the higher same type buff just trumps a preexisting weaker buff.

    Defenders - Give Defenders Blaster Defiance 1.0. Since Defender damage is pretty bland. And everyone likes to go after the defender. This could help them out somewhat but not over power them.

    DMG Cap <----> Base
    HP 0 <----> 100%

    Tanks(arena only) - The longer a tank stays alive or is not attacked the more damage they can do. So a timer(in background) or bar(for end user) continually increases a tanks damage potential(they would need to increase a tanks dmg modifier or cap to make this meaningful) and does not stop filling up until they are brought down to like 25% health.

    Brutes -Reverse Fury in PvP. Start Brutes at full Fury, and the more damage they take reduce their damage potential.

    All Melees - Increase travel speed by like 10% or Reduce Range travel speed by 10%

    Maybe this can help solve the "only spike squishy syndrome" that we've had since day one in arena.

    those three lines lead me to my assumption. I don't recall of any other badges besides accolades that give some type of reward....

    i dont think you will be able to use em at the same time however...but when or if you decide to switch back and/or over you would have access to both.


    regarding the 50 thing...

    My first reason is that it's an expansion. Why would they release an expansion where you didnt have to play the original game first? Another reason is that Villains will not have access to hero epics and heroes will not have access to villain patrons. It would completely unbalance things.

    There's a difference between switching sides and creating a new character. Posi said that for people rolling new characters in praetorian earth there is new starting content.
  24. The most effective elec/therm i've seen on freedom runs Soul Mastery, for Power Boost and has a pet that does ridiculous dmg. He doesnt have phase either.
  25. I'm still under the impression that....

    1. only 50's can switch sides.
    2. greys can go to both h/v zones
    3. you can get both set of accolades hero and villain.
    4. 10 global enhancements(from base-10 only each with 100% bonus) is the new 50+ system.

    my questions...

    1. What are the incentives of a hero to switch to villainside? Penalties? Bonuses?
    2. What are the incentives of a villain switching to heroside? Penalties? Bonuses?
    3. What is the incentive of a character staying gray? Penalties? Bonuses?
    4. How will DR effect the new 50+ system that makes toons stronger in regards to pvp? Will it be pointless? Will it not be subjected to DR?
    5. Will there be any objective based pvp games for the arena?
    6. Will there be any new maps for pvp?
    7. Will we be able to use the MA to create maps for pvp?
    8. How many Story Arcs/SF's/TF's will be included with GR (10? one for each global enhancement =P)?
