Its been common knowledge for ages that it's how much endurance your henchmen uses. Pretty sure that slotting Ranges in them only affects the distance at where you can summon them , which is what I'm guessing youre trying to say so I agree that this clashes with what I'm saying.

Just try and play with end reductions in your pets and you'll see what I'm talking about.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Just tried it - absolutely no difference. I had a kin friend of mine drain a bot of all it endurance and I checked to see how many times he would fire in the 2 minutes afterwards. It fired the same number of time with 3 x SO endurance reductions as it did with no endurance reductions.

This is one of the misconceptions that was laid to rest ages ago on the U.S. formus.

    Actually the deal is this:

We removed Recharge Enhancements from all Henchmen powers because it WOULD affect the recharge rate of the summoning power itself, and NOT the recharge rate of the Henchmen's powers.

This is inconsistent to ALL other Enhancements that are slottable for Henchmen... the Enhancements ALWAYS affect the powers of the Henchmen, and not the summoning power itself.

To avoid confusion, we just removed the option.

And I believe it was a good call, seeing as how many people would be confused as to how it would work if we left it alone.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Source. And I can't find any evidence this has been changed since.
  2. It's very good for solo play since both sets offer quite a bit of control and good single-target damage along with self-buffs. Should do great in teams too .
  3. It boosts the -tht and -def of RI and the slow (not -rechg) from LR. It also boosts the hold and -end from EMP, the +movt and mez resists from AM, the heal from RA, the hold from Choking Cloud. And that's just for your secondary

    PVP Picks

I don't think Illusion is the worst for duels against most sets for the reasons given above and others (pets, fear, deceive, Spectral Wounds, sleep in Blind etc.). I think Earth and Ice will usually have a harder time, especially vs non-squishies, although they might be harder to kill.

And yeah, for duels, /rad, maybe /storm.

If i remember right DB got a illu/rad yet he still doesn't know what he talking about

The real problem now for primaries without much damage (ice and earth) is that since epic blasts got nerfed, it will take a while to kill aything with your immobs and pets

    Damn u quick wannabe

Shut up and shield me nub!
  8. A third Acc is really not needed, so you can save yourself some inf and slot only 2 Nucleos (along with 3 Rechg 1 Dmg).
  9. [ QUOTE ]
Yeah, and because a fire/kin's control powers take sooo long to recharge that you always have to fight against truckloads of uncontrolled mobs.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Especially with perma-Hasten lol
  10. [ QUOTE ]
Might want fighting for IOs, LoTG etc

    [/ QUOTE ]
If you need slots for Defence IOs, there are usually better choices: Maneuvers, Hover, CJ, Stealth to name a few. For Resistance ones, ID or Epic shields.
  11. On Blind I use the same slotting as Mael except I prefer the Devastation proc (chance to hold) to the acc/dmg/endrdx/rchg. I lose a tiny bit in terms of enhancing, but I make up for it from other set bonuses. This gives me about a one-in-three chance of getting a Mag 4 (or higher) hold in a single application.

Oh, and clearing yellow mitos with only blasters? NOT FUN.

    Ranged Defense?...

The Mitochondria's attacks are uncategorized, and cannot be defended against, nor resisted, i.e. no amount of defense or resistance will protect a player from Mitochondria's attacks.

And I said "not fun" and not "can't be done" .

Indeed they are. But with Vah and Waltzz they will never complete

    PvP Tanks

Some serious forum spiking going on here... where's the taunting tank???
  15. [ QUOTE ]
aid self is decent but really not needed since we get a healing pet in mu line and pretty much every serious pvp dom is mu

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yes, a pet at lvl 47 which most of the time will be too far away to heal. Power Boosted Aid Self ftw!

Controller PB is you need 2 more powers in order to get it does from the epic pool does 186% buff

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Fixed that for you.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Huh 186? Builder gives it as a 119.2% to self and same value to multiple?

    [/ QUOTE ]
For PB(U), trollers have a higher modifier (1.25 instead of 1 for defenders) and the buff is Modifier * (1 + 0.01*[Level - 1]). So it's 186% for trollers (at level 50) and 149% for defenders.

could you explain why a warshade would be better suited to a mainly dwarf, nova build? i've been playing with my peacebringer build for ages now and seem to be rinning in circles,i don't mind rerolling as a warshade if it,s a better option.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Several of the human form powers of warshades are best used as buffs when in other forms (mainly Nova, but also Dwarf), so there's usually no real reason to stay in human form for very long (except for self-buffs). On the other hand, PBs have some nice human form attacks which work well with the (human form) self-buffs, as well as an ally heal. Of course, playstyles may vary.

I'm glad it does. Personally, I prefer other forms which don't involve foes getting knocked around when you need Transfusion or Transference to hit

    [/ QUOTE ]

I just don't knock those particular targets back. A bit of common sense goes a long way

    [/ QUOTE ]
Well in my book, if I want to play a kin, and want damage mitigation, I don't think 'hey, I need some k-back powers'. Holds? Yes. Stuns? Yes. Sleeps? Yes. Even immobs or -tht. Of course, that doesn't mean you can't play the sets together, just that the synergy is not particularly good.

  22. [ QUOTE ]
It's impossible to get elude with less recharge than 333 seconds, due to recharge capping at 300%. (If I understand that correctly)
Also, the recharge starts after the cast time, which some call activation.

    [/ QUOTE ]
400% is the cap iirc, which does give a 20 sec downtime (recharges in 200 secs) since the formula is base recharge / (1+ buff).
  23. Here's how I'd build a grav/storm to 40 (SO slotting):

Hero Plan by Mids' Hero Designer 1.21
    http://www.honourableunited.org.uk/mhd.php

    Level 40 Magic Controller
    Primary Power Set: Gravity Control
    Secondary Power Set: Storm Summoning
    Power Pool: Fitness
    Power Pool: Speed

    Hero Profile:
    Level 1: Lift -- Acc(A), Dmg(5), Dmg(13), Dmg(15), Acc(36)
    Level 1: Gale -- Acc(A)
    Level 2: Gravity Distortion -- Acc(A), Acc(3), Hold(3), Hold(5), RechRdx(7), RechRdx(7)
    Level 4: O2 Boost -- Heal(A)
    Level 6: Hurdle -- Jump(A)
    Level 8: Propel -- Acc(A), Dmg(9), Dmg(9), Dmg(13), Acc(37)
    Level 10: Hasten -- RechRdx(A), RechRdx(11), RechRdx(11)
    Level 12: Steamy Mist -- EndRdx(A), ResDam(15), ResDam(19), ResDam(19)
    Level 14: Super Speed -- Run(A)
    Level 16: Freezing Rain -- RechRdx(A), RechRdx(17), RechRdx(17)
    Level 18: Health -- Heal(A)
    Level 20: Stamina -- EndMod(A), EndMod(21), EndMod(21)
    Level 22: Gravity Distortion Field -- Acc(A), Acc(23), Hold(23), Hold(40), RechRdx(40), RechRdx(40)
    Level 24: Crushing Field -- Acc(A), Acc(25), EndRdx(25)
    Level 26: Wormhole -- Acc(A), Acc(27), Dsrnt(27), Dsrnt(29), RechRdx(34)
    Level 28: Snow Storm -- EndRdx(A), EndRdx(29), Slow(34)
    Level 30: Hurricane -- EndRdx(A), ToHitDeb(31), ToHitDeb(31), ToHitDeb(31), EndRdx(34)
    Level 32: Singularity -- Acc(A), Dmg(33), Dmg(33), Dmg(33), Hold(37)
    Level 35: Tornado -- Dmg(A), Dmg(36), Dmg(36), RechRdx(37)
    Level 38: Lightning Storm -- Dmg(A), Dmg(39), Dmg(39), RechRdx(39)
    ------------

    Some comments:

    - Lift and Propel are handy for low-level damage, especially when soloing. At higher levels, you'll often get more out of Crush (e.g. containment, immobing AVs).
    - Holds need 2 accuracies.
    - Crushing Field is actually very useful to use along with Wormhole. The problem is that since it doesn't have -kback, it's less effective than other AoE immobs with Tornado and Lightning Storm.
    - Freezing Rain: one of your best powers, take asap.
    - Sing: it cycles Crush, Lift and the hold, so it's still useful to slot damage (until HOs).
    - I prefer taking SS as a travel power. You need Hasten anyway and with Steamy Mist's stealth (slot res though, not def), you can ghost nicely.
    - I'm not a fan of Medicine for controllers (even more so for PvE builds), but that's up to you to decide. O2 boost is handy, but could also be skipped.
    - Thunder Clap: not a big fan either. Only stuns minions and Wormhole (take earlier!) is much better.
    - I would skip the phase power. Already lots of control with both sets and will just annoy most teams.
    - Take Snow Storm, but not before Stamina.

    Hope some of this helps!

Sonic buffs cannot be casted on yourself.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Sonic Dispersion is a PBAoE bubble.
  25. You can also slot IOs which give you mez resistance like Aegis (20% unique) or Impervious skin (7.5% each). You just need to find slots in powers which take resistance IO sets (like Increase Density). This will only shorten the duration of mezzes though, not prevent them (and you'll need quite a bit to notice a difference).

And k-back is [censored] damage mitigation for a kin.
