Well we run an all-controller SG on Union, so I can say there are a few Earth trollers out there, although in our case not that many in the 32+ range (mostly Illusion, Mind and the odd Ice). I myself am playing a Fire/ now and enjoying it a lot although it is very different from my previous controller (mainly because of the hard controls). I would think it's quite similar to Earth at this level, meaning you're very useful for a team once you have a few holds/immobs/disorients slotted with SOs. I think after 32 Rocky will do less damage than the Fire Imps, but if you are going for a team build, it might not matter so much (plus you'll be too busy SB-ing every one and firing off Fulcrum to notice ). With illusion, it is all about "controlled chaos", so you really need to team with people who know what's going on so they know what decoys can/can't do, and they don't kill your deceived mobs first or in the case of rad, your debuff anchors.

Funny, I'd say the opposite: Flash is quite good (your only group AOE hold to set up containment), but don't bother unless you can spare quite a few (6?) slots

From the Fire side, I am planning to skip Ring of Fire and probably Smoke (not sure yet). A single target immob seems a bit of a waste, especially since bosses/AVs will have ranged attacks. I took Mutation which is nice when teaming with squishies, but certainly not a must-have. So looks like you have a great build there!

I dropped Choking Cloud on Okton since the accuracy is quite low (and can't be enhanced) and it eats up a lot of endurance (is also a toggle). I know some rads like it though. I am thinking of taking Hasten on my fire troller although I don't have it on Okton (might respec into it if I go the PvP way though). I know some people like running Assault/Tactics for their Fire Imps, but I guess it depends on how much you plan to team, and which other powers you want to take in your 30s. Won't be on tonight, but look for Jiaozy, or for me tomorrow night for some well-earned cash

At least get the 3 recharges in there asap, and the 3 endmodif when you can (sooner rather than later though).

Doubt it: in my experience, the animation of BFR (almost 4 secs) is way too slow to be of much use in PvP.

As I said on the PR thread, I'd like to bring Chango along for this if possible, but if things get a bit dicey (or we need more mentors), can always switch to Okton (who is already a Pal of Statesman ) for some AV rad debuffing

Don't know which travel power you're planning to take, but if it's Fly, then Air Superiority is a handy power to use with Containment, at least for the lower levels (thx to Crossfire for the tip ). I'm using it on my fire/kin and will probably keep it until I respec and go for Inertial Reduction at 28.

Just a reminder that I plan to do this tonight starting at 9:30pm (UK time). Have 4 "most probably": Golden Golem (50 tank), Standoff (50 blaster), Robotclaw (50 scrapper) and Chango (46 blaster). A couple of "maybe" from some fellow Rangers (Yellow Feather and Xamari). Would be nice if we could get a defender/troller in there.

A few comments:

- Char should have 2 holds and 2 recharges
- Not sure why you want the 2 ranges in rez, given that you're taking TP friend
- I would go just Assault and Tactics and skip Maneuvers
- Recovery Aura should have just 3 recharges
- Don't put range in Fire Imps, it's only the range at which they can be summoned
- Indom Will needs just 3 recharges (defbuf is not great)
- Try to fit in Adrenalin Boost

Hope some of this helps!

Better take LR in your 30s since you'll be running into such "situations" (e.g. AVs) a lot in the end-game, and the -regen is very useful. Anyway, that's just my suggestion (although I'm sure you'll listen if you want new SOs )
