Will only comment on the /rad side. You seem to be a bit heavy on the endred slots, but with Stamina, AM and later Conserve Power, you should be fine moving some of these elsewhere.
- Rad Infection: 3 thtdbf and only 1 endred
- Accel Metab: 3 recharges (and 3 endmodif)
- Lingering rad: only one slow since enhances only affect movement (not regen). Would also add 1 or 2 recharges
- EM Pulse: might need 2 accuracy. Slot recharges instead of endred. Some people slot endmodif for the endurance drain, but that's a personal choice.
- For Temp Invulnerability, change an endred for a dmgres.

Despite it being J's raid, I would discourage anyone from respeccing purely for this (unless you really have waaay too many respecs and don't know what to do with them...). Changing enhancements in slots, sure, but a full respec? Only if you need it for other reasons imho.

As I said before (and I think TG did too), a team of 8 controllers can easily take on any AV, swiftly and without any risk. My point was that 3 Fire/rads (see OP) would have a very hard time with most AVs because even if the mobs are debuffed, you would still need someone to take the alpha strike (or nova later for some) and to "tank" a bit since you are still a squishy. There is no way 3 controllers (any powersets) can perma-hold a high-level AV in I6. We are over-powered, but not that over-powered. Anyone who believes this just hasn't played a troller against one. Yesterday, I tried duoing Malaise (lvl 52) with my ill/rad and a mind/kin. We were relatively safe with the debuffs, but the problem was the lack of damage. A fire/kin would certainly do more damage than either one of us, but I still think that you need 3 trollers or more, and preferably a mix of powersets to be really effective.
Edit: anyway, am thinking this discussion is going nowhere really so if you want to take on AVs with 3 fire/rads, then go ahead and enjoy -
Well our team got (at least) 3 tentacles with Shimmery, Jacob's Hell and yours truly (as Tleo) each taking one down

I've done AVs with 2 (not 3) rad trollers, and trust me, they still get a few shots at you. Remember, this is I6. -

Fully agree. The 20s are much better if you team a lot. Now after you get your imps, you can safely solo again if you really want to (even on Invincible, if you're careful, of course). But then again, teaming is (usually) more fun anyway
.
PS: I haven't bothered with a recharge on my imps: I find that if/when one dies (or when you zone), they are usually ready to be summoned again. -

Yes, it's possible, but my guess is that very few people have such a build in the low 20's. If you can squeeze in Tactics by 22, you must be missing something somewhere. Or 5 slots on either Siphon by this level? Surely these can be better used on your primaries. -

My guess is that it could work, but it would be a bit riskier than for a fire/rad. First of all you don't have the 3 debuffs. Secondly, you don't have AM which helps a lot with +dmg and +endrecov. Finally, your heal and the 2 siphons can miss since you probably won't have more than 1 acc enhancement in them (and not many rechgs, so not much stacking) and these will probably be DOs.

I fully agree (my fire/kin did his first AV just yesterday). But in a team of 3 trollers against AVs, I would certainly prefer if at least one were illusion: those decoys are just too handy...

We have an all-controller SG on Union, and when we take the 50s out, the only problem with AVs is that they don't last very long
. Fire/kin is arguably the strongest combo for raw damage, but if you want a troller-only team I would recommend at least 1 Illusion (preferably 2) so the decoys can take the alpha strike and tank a bit.

Thanks for organising this, it was all good fun. Having only been in the Arena 2 or 3 times before, I wasn't really there to try out, but just to see a bit how it's done. And let's face it, who would pass on an opportunity to pound on Chives?

Yes we do, as long as you're willing to play him once in a while. We have about 8-10 level 50s which we play from time to time to gather inf/prestige, take out some sidekicks on AV hunts and help others in the Coalition who are in the higher levels. Lots of people in the 32-40 range at the moment, but also in the lower levels, with a steady flow of new recruits
. For an invite look for Jiaozy, Fire Inspector, Gemstone or Tleollin (among others).

Hence my point about controllers. Last time I took her down with 4 other trollers it took us about 1 minute + 15 minutes to find the 3 bloody spirits on the map

A Fireball with containment does almost the same damage as a Head Splitter (not counting criticals). And this is without Fulcrum and debuffs (and it's AoE!)
