fire/kin = MEGA fun?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yup, any other questions?
Ohh and don't take hot feet, or atleast respec it out once you get to fireball...
[/ QUOTE ]
n00b, get them both and 'arrest' mobs even faster... -

Liquefy is lovely you have to have it!!
[/ QUOTE ]
You're one of the first people I've seen to say that, Shannon.
My Ice/Sonic Controller is probably picking it up at 38 anyway, but why do you like it? What does it actually do? And how do you slot it?
So many questions ...
[/ QUOTE ]
I dropped after 2 levels on my grav/sonic troller. It's supposed to work a bit like Earthquake, but the knockdown is minor, the hold is low-mag and the debuffs (Def and ThT) not really noticeable. It might be more useful on a corruptor, but for a troller, I'd say skip (or try and respec out). If you do take it, slot recharges and then... nah, really, just don't...

Oh yes, I know that. But it does stack with other Thug MM's pets. I've seen my pets with 14 or so stacked at any one time.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear, but yes, they do appear to stack with other MM's henches. I remember that someone took a piccie at the Gang's base (must be in the thread somewhere) and you could see the stacked icons. But I agree, there must be a catch, otherwise the numbers don't make sense... -
Indeed: they do stack for henches, but don't affect you or other team-mates.

Some Behatch is out there calling himself Tera Byte!
Can you believe it? Bridger. You should do something about it dude. This is so lame!

From the primary, I tried BFR but dropped it after a couple of levels (slooooow animation): much better to stack FR and use Freezing Touch. I found Frost Breath to be an OK power, at least in the 20s (before Blizzard). With Aim+BU it does some decent AoE damage. From the secondary, I used to hate Chilling Embrace, but found it more and more useful since you end up blapping a lot (slow and -dmg). I used to have Frozen Fists for toggle-dropping but have dropped it now. Otherwise I found all /ice powers to be good (including Shiver) except for Frozen Aura (really can't see how anyone can use it much in the 40s
). Concerning Epics, I preferred Force because of the nice shield, the panic button (PFF) and of course, Force of Nature (a mini-Unstoppable). Epics really depend on playstyle, i.e. do you plan to PvP? do you feel you need an extra hold? do you want a snipe? do you want a concept toon? do you die a lot a want a self-rez? etc... And definitely take Stamina and Hasten.
Enjoy! -

I think if I were to do it again I would either go with:
Ill/Rad or Fire/Kin.
[/ QUOTE ]
Or even better, play both! -
Fire/kin is indeed pure PvE ownage in the late game. Fire has more hard control tools to set up group containment, has more damaging pets, and has Hot Feet for passive PBAoE damage which works nicely with Fulcrum. Illusion has other great tools such as decoys, deceive and fear, but I haven't seen anything rack up xp/min like a fire/kin.

Windwraith, your Crazy - English translator

Thanks Windwraith!
And I agree that Spectral Terror is an excellent power, for both PvE and PvP. -
[ QUOTE ]
soz dis prob been todl but spetral terror can get u otu fo sum verys ticky situations u use it n dey get scard n cower y u cna heal or run but if u slap dat i a mob den use flash n FS den fireball it is a nova pow lol
[/ QUOTE ]
and in English now please??? -
I'd say storm or rad. Or sonic if you want a real challenge...
-
Good points by Alvan. And one small thing which comes to mind: at least for the lower levels, I would actually take Propel. Even though the animation is slow, it does some decent damage and is an endless source of amusement (persistent flying pool tables ftw!!!111!!!). You can always respec out later since it does become less and less useful, especially in teams. Oh, and I'm not sure I would take both SJ and SS (unless you take Stealth?), at least for PvE.
-
Except for some small slotting differences (and taking Crushing Field earlier, to use it with Wormhole) Archy is (as always) spot-on.
- Rad Infection: I would add a Def_Debuf and an Endrdx (maybe dropping a recharge from Healing Aura or an Endrdx from SS?)
- Lingering Rad: I'd use a Slow instead of an Endrdx
- EM Pulse: I like to use an Endmod instead of a Hold/Rechg for some nice endurance drain, but in any case, 6-slot it and see.
Hope this helps! -

I love it when I get told that working in a team is cheating. I'm sorry, maybe I should just go in solo with my sonic defender next time?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, and only use Liquefy please... -
[ QUOTE ]
PFF for Blasters is inferior to the Defender version correct? What slotting should be used with it?
[/ QUOTE ]
It is indeed. Since it's really used as a panic button, 1-3 Def_buf depending on how many slots you have left. If you plan to "pseudo-tank" with it, maybe an endred. -
[ QUOTE ]
Force of Nature is godlike.
Put it on before an AV fight and you will not die! (unless the AV does psi damage) It makes the previous 46 levels worthwhile!
[/ QUOTE ]
Edited for accuracy. But yes, FoN ftw!!!111!!! -
Hey Phil. For a PvE build, I would drop Super Speed now that you have SJ (and Siphon Speed). I would try to get Tactics earlier, since you really don't want your kin powers to miss (depends how much you feel you need Acrobatics atm). ID is a nice buff, but not crucial (I took it at 49). Cinders is actually droppable in the later levels since you have better tools for setting up containment.
- Fire Ball: I would slot recharge instead of endrdx
- Slot 3 dmgres in your shield (1 endred is enough with Stamina and Transference)
- Don't put extra slots in Assault, you won't use it after Fulcrum
- Slot Tactics with 3 ThT_buffs and 2 endreds (if you can take it earlier)
- I would take Swift instead of Health (useless on a squishy)
- I like Hot Feet, even in the later levels, just stand there after Fulcrum while you're using Fire Ball, and watch the red numbers pile up
Enjoy the carnage! -

pfft! forget inspirations, some people dont even want you to use your powers!

QFT. I remember a villain who kept complaining that my ice blaster was holding him in Siren's... -
[ QUOTE ]
Yes, but you're forgeting we are second to walk in the hive after the PA Drops. Then, it's the kin cell (kin, rad and tankers). Don't think the empaths or the "official r3zz0rs" will be in the blob at that point, so just in case
[/ QUOTE ]
Well if you go down, you'll need to be TPed out anyway, hopefully to some place with a few "r3zz0rs". But sure, some awakens won't hurtGo get him now!

Just a quick question...
Which kind of inspirations would be better to grab for the raid? I was thinking in Catch breaths and Breaks free...but i'm not sure if they would be the best options...
BTW:Would someone like to meet at FF Icon shop about one hour before the raid (6.15 UK) to prepare the costumes?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd take 10 BFs and 10 awakens, just in case. BFs can only help, and green will only help you for the first few seconds, or not at all.
And i'm fine with meeting before the raid, will announce it here if so.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wouldn't worry about insps at all tbh. There are tons of people who can rez, loads of buffs flying around and I can't remember ever needing a BF on the PA drop or hold/rad teams.
Sorry I can't make it and best of luck to Double N00b and the rest! -

Mass Confuse is your "pet".
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, but it = less XP
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm surprised some people still believe this. See clicky for some numbers. Conclusion: unless you're on a really bad team, xp/time goes up if you use Confuse smartly. -
[ QUOTE ]
I have to say, BU should ideally be in pre 20, especially for PvE blaster builds, in PvP i dont have it til later as i have a self sufficient type build and need th aid self etc, although usually I would say ge BU pre 20 so therefore pre stamina (stamina can wait til 24 or later in teams i find, but i try to think outside the box and not take stamina with my toons until late respecs, actually only got it on one toon so far, and he's the one that needs it least in PvE
Plight
[/ QUOTE ]
Good point Plight, but Fire/Ice is gonna be quite endurance heavy, so I woud suggest seeing how he's doing around 20 and if he doesn't feel an urgent need for Stamina, to take BU first (might even manage by slotting some endreds and swapping enhances later). -
[ QUOTE ]
I only put three slots in travel powers as an example from fly 3 flight SO's makes ye fly alot faster... yesterday I just put in lvl 30 fly so's and my flight speed has defiantly increased! so I persume with Super Speed its as same as SJ? or am I allowed to have the extra speed slot in there?
[/ QUOTE ]
Fly definitely needs 3 speed enhances, but other travel powers are fine with the default slot (except maybe TP which can work better with range/endreds), at least for PvE. Build looks good, but I would still slot some endreds in Chilling Embrace. -

AFAIK Immob stops knockdown/knockback only for the first 10 seconds

Except for the gravity control immobs which don't interfere with knockdown.
