    How should i slot phantasm(pve)?

    [/ QUOTE ]
I cant answer this i let someone with more experience answer it

    [/ QUOTE ]
With SOs, 2 acc 3 dmg.
  2. Sorry Shannon but the more I look at the numbers the less I'm convinced. How exactly do you slot it then? I'm quite sure that the (potentially) 400 less dmg I do from not slotting dmg into it (assuming 16 foes will stay within it for 15 secs - unlikely) is more than made up by my dmg proc and the -res one which benefits my whole team (and hopefully in a group of 8, I'm not the main dmg dealer ).
  3. [ QUOTE ]
This is only my personal opinion and nothing else: That proc is garbage.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    This ^^^. 10% chance of a 5% heal won't make much of a difference.

    -def 92%
    rech 92%
    endrdx 42%

with dmg and -res procs for real damage and some good bonuses (+dmg +HP +recov)

I'm not sure what the SoA stealth cap is

    [/ QUOTE ]
Actually it seems to be 852 ft (at lvl 49 which is where my widow is atm).
  6. [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
to see them more than 10 ft away.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The 10 ft rule only applies to situations where both the perceiver and a stalker are at their respective caps. as such, the buffs are needed to see them at all.

    [/ QUOTE ]
*ninja-edit* Huh? Of course, you're right
  7. [ QUOTE ]
Those numbers didnt make all that much sense to me. But I think I worked out that with tactics on a blaster I think that would allow me to see any non-stalker at their stealth cap, could someone know undertsnad the numbers tell me if that is correct?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Assuming no other (de)buffs, yes (for a non-stalker). At level 50: base perception (+500) + tactics (+243) - non-stalker stealth cap (-575) = 168 ft. So you will see them at this distance. If in addition you slot the +perc IO, you will see them at 268 ft. For a stalker with Hide+Stealth (again at lvl 50), this would not be enough (even if they don't have a +stealth IO) since 843 < 889 (500 + 389), so you would need additional buffs such as CM, Clarity, yellow insps, etc. to see them.

    [ QUOTE ]
Now afaik SoA have a higher than normal stealth cap, but not as high as a stalker. Now would tactics and percep IO allow me to see a SoA while at thier stealth cap? What is reqired to get a SoA to stealth cap? Also would it allow me to see a stalker who only had hide/stealth but no IO?

    [/ QUOTE ]
I'm not sure what the SoA stealth cap is but they get -400 or -500 from their stealth power and -300 from the IO. Remember than unlike stalkers' Hide, they cannot use their powerset stealth (Mask Presence or Cloaking Device) and (pool) Stealth/Invis at the same time. So depending on what the stealth cap is, they might also need additional buffs to reach it.
  8. And Globey will be happy to give you the inf for that build
  9. Nice to be back on Psy. Have a little catching up to do (a few bars away from 30) but should be there on Monday (after that I'll be missing the following 2 weeks - more holidays ftw! )
  10. The perception IO grants you an additional 100ft of +perception (20% of base), so it depends on who you're trying to see. There is a perception cap though, which scales by level. Lots of numbers here if you're interested.
  11. and we all know empathy is really for defenders

    *ducks*
  12. [ QUOTE ]
It is another good reason for me not to take leadership though, for which i'm thankful

    [/ QUOTE ]
You can also argue it's a good reason to take it: so your buffs can stack (on your henches) with those from your Enforcers (and Supremacy)...
  13. Each power only takes certain types of enhancements (and sets). Just hover over the power description to see which ones. For Phantom Army, you can slot:

    - normal enhancements: acc, dmg, rechg, range, endrdx.
    - IO sets: pet dmg (like Blood Mandate, Sovereign Right, etc.)
    - Special enhancements such as Hamidon origin (HOs) which affect some of the attributes of the normal enhancements (so for example you can slot a Nucleolus which enhances acc/dmg)

Ruin is a Ranged dmg set so cannot be slotted in PA (and by the way, don't bother slotting EndRdx in it, a 3rd Rech is much better).

    Hope this helps.
  14. Hey Hib! If I hadn't paired earth with kin (which works quite well actually: -def helps with kin powers, SB on Mr Poo is nice, Fulcrum gives you good damage potential post-38 to complement earth's uber-control, etc.) I would have probably chosen storm as a secondary (but I'd just finished levelling an ice/storm at the time). Have fun!

    Foresight

    [ QUOTE ]
When you get to about 70% health, you will notice about 12% smashing resist (thats all I monitor really), then at 50% it will be about 30% then at 25% health you will get about 50% resist, and when you are at about 10% health, you will get about 70% resist. This power can totally save your life.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Actually the sliding resistance from Foresight is +0.4% res(all) [except psi and toxic] for each 1% HP below 75%, but it stacks with the (same) sliding resists from CTefense (so for example you get an additional 20% res at 50% health with both, or 40% res at 25% health).

It's also one of the few powers for widows which grant resistance to defense debuffs.

One of my favourite tricks on the STF is to permacage the flier so it can't attack or drop mobs.

    And caging towers ftw!
  17. [ QUOTE ]
People are saying 'omg omg i need perm mindlink to soft cap my def!' when really it can be capped easily without it and cheaply

    [/ QUOTE ]
Stop teaming with n00bs. No one here is saying you need ML to softcap defence. Just that if you can easily (at least for NWs) afford to have a great team buff perma (or close), why not do it? Think I'll move on to another thread now...
  18. I think you should try it. Really.
  19. And it might not be worth it for Forts given how much it would cost in terms of slots and inf, but for NWs, it's really not that hard. 4 slots in ML + MT + Hasten + a bit of +rechg from sets is all you need. Also, given that we don't have that much to help against def debuffs (outside of Elude), it's probably safer to be at a constant 60% def than at 45%.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]

^^^ This. And ML also has 30% res(psi).

So why would you NOT perma it??? I would rather skip Elude than ML.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Who said anything about skipping ?
I used ML for the extra Psi res to but it was pointless to perm it.

    [/ QUOTE ]
This seems to imply it's not really needed.
    [ QUOTE ]
    Mindlink then is just gravy.

    [/ QUOTE ]
And again, why NOT perma it if it costs a couple of hundred k inf and doesn't even need 6 slots?
