I would never tell anyone to petition their own VG name in order to have a GM look at it and force the active leader to rename it.
But perhaps if someone else petitioned your VG's name out of "disgust" or "spite"... -
Just glad to know it wasn't related to the recent forum issues. Thanks Pyrox, everything checks out fine now

Although the issue in question won't stop people from laying, it is certainly a sever QoL problem for the majority of players. Heck, just zoning last night caused all of the windows on my character's GUI to reset. Thank goodness I was just going into my base and not a door mission with a hot door.
However, he have a response on this issue, it certainly does have a high priority, and it looks like the issue will be fixed ASAP, possibly even today. That being said, I think this thread has served its purpose (to bring visibility to the problem and elicit an official response), so I'm going to request that a moderator lock the thread. -
Somehow, I can't help but think that if Korea hadn't laid off a good portion of the US workforce last month, the forums, QA, and other things would be better.
There again, we've had the forum logout bug for a very long time, so perhaps not. -
Quote:Thanks again Tony, I see that it's back online nowThis will probably be a not-too-hard thing to do, so I'll try to get it up and running mid-evening tonight. Faces is by far the hardest one to get moved over, that one will probably be at least another day or two out.
It seems like the picture for Obsidius' main article may be suffering from the aforementioned repository issue though, just FYI.

Tried going to the following link from the Dev Digest:

Exactly. And forgive me Zwill, I'm not trying to kill the messenger, as it were. I'm just befuddled as to why such an issue wasn't a show-stopper.
-
-
Thanks for the info Zwill, but if it was already addressed in an upcoming build, why push this build live? This bug effects a majority of players (F2P, Premium, & VIP), if not all of them (AFIAK). Seems like a bad decision to push this patch out, even with the new Incarnate abilities (that only VIP players can access).
-
I'm paid up for three months, so...
But OTOH, as others pointed out in the patch discussion thread, fix this ASAP for the sake of retaining Free and Premium players (who can just drop whenever things get seriously wonky), as well as VIPs. -
MARTy is a catch all, not the only solution. MARTy prevents exploits from being onerous while the devs figure out a permanent fix.

Quote:<Logs back into the forums again>This was the first issue I bugged during the Beta test. I've seen about a dozen other people respond to various posts that they bugged this, too.
Perhaps this should have been addressed before pushing it to live?
Perhaps. That and other things >.> -
Yes, store updates != patch updates. Trust me, I am also in that holding pattern
-
Understood, but having to do this every single time we log in with every single character is tedious, to say the least.
To say the most:
-
I made a new thread to discuss this issue here.
-
Not that several players didn't report this during the VIP beta, but my GUI windows keep resetting to default positions every time I log in. Additional power tray bars are right in the middle of my window when I log in. I have to spend the first few minutes of gamplay (per character) rearranging my GIU to the correct layout. Only to have it reset the next time I log in.
If you're also seeing this issue, post here. I also recommend you /bug this every time you log in with this issue. -
I guess they used the title "21 Jump Street" because "Crappy Comedy Vehicle for Jonah Hill" didn't have the same buzzworthiness.
-
Quote:Oh that's just dandy. Like I didn't also report this in beta :/Well this is just dandy. The UI resetting issue we reported in beta? Not fixed.
I am _NOT_ going to fix my UI every time I log in.
I will be taking a break from City until this is resolved.
Edit: complain on my new thread -
There's far too much compare & contrast in this thread, even without directly naming the MMO in question.

Who killed him?
Not Me!
But seriously, RIP sir -

Tom Rather reporting LIVE from the steps of Paragon City hall on Day 6 of the Occupy City Hall movement, where heroes are protesting the inequity of city zones to doughnut shops. As you may know, 100% of the doughnut shops in Paragon City are in Overbrook, which has hungry heroes upset... -
Quote:I think that's a fair suggestion for any item that is normally free for VIPs; it would allow players to cover their bases preemptively in case they know they won't be able to keep a subscription going.I would like to see the option for VIPs to purchase Power Sets that are given to them for free as VIPs, but that they may not own. When I noticed Time Manipulation went on sale, I jumped online to try to purchase it since I knew my account would be going Premium soon, but found that I did not have the option since my VIP account already has access to the power set.
Maybe for features that are auto-enabled for VIPs, the buy button could be different, or require extra confirmation, so VIP players that miss the bright yellow note in the description don't accidentally buy something they don't need to buy, but it would be great to still have the option for players who are unable to keep VIP status 100% of the time. -
Oof, those are some strong arguments for either WP or Invul. This sin't going to be an easy decision, and I'm glad that's the case, because it means I won't be making a bad decision either way I go
I would like to think that someday, when time allows, I start running iTrails. I'm so far out of that loop I had to actually look up what a Augur wasIt will be a bit before my new character gets to that point, but it might sway my decision. OTOH, it won't be my sole reason for choosing one secondary over another.
Death_Adder, your idea is interesting, but I don't see the theme working well for a stone gargoyle, but that's just my personal opinion. However, for a metal gargoyle like those found on the Chrysler Building... it might be another theme I revisit on a future character -
