Unfortunately, combo units by design only support one TP Pad. What you can do in the meantime is swap your beacons out if you want your sole TP pad to go somewhere else.
Anything above that, frankly, will cost Prestige, although not as much as it once did. Take a look at the Paragon Wiki. Thier numbers for Bases (rooms, items, etc.) should be refelctive of current Prestige costs. To get more power/ control, you'll need to combe main items with auxiliary items. For example, regarding Control, you'll need a mainframe, and combine it with Aux items like Databases. However, it will cost, so start saving up that Prestige while playing in SG Mode. -
Not any more, sadly
At least they lowered the requirement for the Invention accolade recently

Quote:Um.. wow, thanks. Usually I just get neg rep'd in these sort of discussions."Everyone pays a subscription to play this game. However, when those who exploit certain systems stand to gain the greatest rewards, how is that fair to the majority of the playerbase? Although the markets are optional systems within the game, how could they not be affected if a swell of Influence causes prices on items to skyrocket, or if a once rare items suddenly becomes so commonplace that game balance becomes questioned? In the end, exploiters (but not all farmers, mind you) can hurt the entire playerbase through their actions."
That's a good argument. When I wrote my post I was thinking mostly in terms of fast leveling alone - which really doesn't hurt anyone else.
Thanks.
I agree that fast leveling really doesn't hurt anyone, so long as the risk is equal to the reward. It's the exploiters that the devs don't care for. Glad we've come to an understanding -
I'm sure the Oceanic and European players will be pleased to hear that
Thanks for the update & clarification GF

Quote:This. Judging from your post history OP, you've recently returned to the game (so WB!). However, a while back, I believe when they switched base rent the 1st time, there was a bug where bases would still become deactivated even when rent was paid. It's less common these days, but since it seems you've been offline for a while, you may be seeing a bug that happened a while back.2) If you inexplicably have no power, file a petition describing the problem (NOT a bug report). This is not a common occurrence, but it's common enough (too common?). A GM can fix it.
/petition a GM (DON'T /bug it) and explain the situation. They can typically fix the problem even if you're offline, so you don't have to worry about waiting around for them to show up. They should send you an email or global /tell once the problem's been fixed.
Sorry to hear about your problems, but this should only be a one-time occurrence, fortunately. -

I share your sentiment, and to be frank, I will be a bit disappointed if we don't get anything base-wise in Going Rogue. I know the devs have been grinding on GR for over a year, so there's a high likelihood something will happen with bases. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I want something good to come out of bases.
Sure, they are nice for storing items, crafting, and transportation, but there have been several threads on the Base Construction boards with suggestions about new functional items, decorative items, etc. Hopefully the devs have been using some of those suggestions as a basis for improvements. If not, I won't help but feel disappointed. -

Quote:Don't blame the new forums for the web page - they're completely independent from each other.Anyone want to tell me what is up with that?? I can't get into the game. I WOULD like to complain to that the website is FAR out of date. ever since this was switched to these crappy new forums they just don't update the website when they put a new download on there for "patch updates" It would be nice if they did that. Sure would help a girl out when she is trying to figure out whats going on and WHY there is a new patch out for some reason.
Clearly, this is a case of someone not doing his/her job to its fullest capacity
Edit: zero issues patching or logging in after patch. It must be a computer-related issue, IMHO. -
Quote:Not much more I can add. Good answerBase salvage has no use currently other than collecting. Using the Invention Workstation you can convert base salvage into Brainstorms which then can be converted to invention salvage.
Or you can look at the Auction House and find what some of the base salvage is going for and sell it. -
-
Just keep in mind that there's currently a bug while exemped, either on a team or while in AE, that you won't actually "ding," nor will you recieve the Inspiration bonus when you level. You will simply just be lvl 50. That is unless today's patch fixed that.

/bugging a problem never generates GM support; only a /petition will do that.
Regardless, you may be able to see the offending items by looking at them through the floor, from the bottom up. If so, you should be able to select and move them out of the wall section.
If that fails, you may have to delete the offending items using the "Current Room" button. You can select and delete the offending item here, even if you cannot see it. In this manner, you at least won't have to delete the entire room because of a few objects.
Finally, in regards to base salvage, all base items are currently created using Invention salvage. Therefor, if you have to replace the TP Pad, you may be able to find replacement salvage on the market, usually for a small price. Otherwise, I believe that pads are composed of only common and uncommon salvage, but not rare salvage, so even playing through as normal will eventually net you the pieces required to re-construct the pad.
I hope this info helps.
Edit: in regards to base power, did you pay your rent? This is the most common problem when a base that should have enough power is still un-powered. -

If we actually knew what the proposed Trial Server Maintenance Schedule was, it might make more sense

Bah, I've been fooled by a necro?

I'll try to be there tonight, but 8PM EDT is still 5PM PDT for me, so I'll probably miss the first run.

Quote:Hrm, I remember that now. Yes, will have to keep notes on playtest times. Ugh, windowed playtest times. To be fair, if this is anything like CoV Beta, it won't be a full-time job. Back then, we only got the servers up for a few hours a day, not every day. And even then, for me it was usually 1 AM to around 5 AM or some such.

OP, your argument is based off of a false premise, one that has been iterated several times since the launch of Issue 16.
Farming is not an issue, so long as there is risk for the reward. Within the MA, one of the biggest problems was reward without risk - the exploitation of the custom mob system specifically. For example, bosses with no attacks which, once defeated, granted the same XP and Inf reward as a boss that could hit back.
The current solution, although not the most desirable, is the best solution at the current juncture in time. Developers want to create a better solution in the near future that will allow more flexibility in custom mob creation without penalizing players who want to mix and match powers (with a break in the middle depending on chosen powers).
Quote:This argument is based upon false entitlement. Everyone pays a subscription to play this game. In the end, exploiters (but not all farmers, mind you) can hurt the entire playerbase through their actions. If a player is paying their $15 a month, who exactly cares if they are level-grinding their pointless little hearts out?

Quote:Simply stated, other player's jealousy is not my problem. It's a beta test (to debug things), not a popularity contest. I can deal with nosy players; I don't need to be sheltered from them like I have H1N1.How are veterans and loyal customers supposed to keep jealousy and nosy questions away?

Agreed. Vehicles would need to be treated more like "mounts" in traditional MMOs, with limitations on where you can use them, power usage while using them, and limited amount of animations and movements (no strafing, etc.). Simply "slapping them on" to Power Customization is fraught with problems and ugly-looking scenarios (like driving a car up an outdoor spiral staircase).

Basic counter-argument: I want to activate my Helicopter Fly inside of this office building I'm currently fighting in. <Helicopter commences to clip through tons of wall and ceiling geometry>
Even more so, how can we restrict wheeled vehicles to streets?
I like the idea of vehicles, but they should be offered in addition to normal travel powers. Probably not going to use my Supermobile in the Shadow Shard, for example. And how would I get my helicopter through the Portal Corp portal? -
Yar, I think you only have to pay the difference up front, as the cost of the previous plot is automatically deducted from the total price before the purchase, as far as my experience goes.
