Quote:Pandering to existing customers is one thing, but the GR web page is for creating buzz with the public.we've already heard everything they have to say about it for now.
Who cares if they update the "official" web page with a bunch of junk we already know?
Admittedly, this observation is borrowed. Not that I entirely agree with it, but I was surprised there weren't more web news articles from Hero Con. -
I'm not holding my breath at this point.

But seriously, I'm dying for more official info here, and from the buzz on the fourms recently, I'm probably not the only one.

You know, it had to be said. -
... I mean, you think they would have updated this page since Hero Con, right?
There was a ton of information delivered to the players during Hero Con, and yet none of it has been made available through the official Going Rogue web site. They had pictures and PowerPoints prepared, live demos, etc., but nothing ready for the GR web site. Why leave this information stuck on the forums, where less than 10% of the game population (on average) will see it, yet alone very little of the general public?
(Bugger, guess I asked a question. Perhaps this should be in the Player Questions section)

Comments are required for leaving neg rep (although just putting in a period is sufficient, which obviously defeats the purpose), but positive rep requires no comment.

Quote:Exactly. Back then, those arcs were stellar, but by today's standards, are horribly repetitive despite the interesting underlying story. We're talking about arcs that were made with Issue 1 tech.As others have said, it's pretty shortsighted to judge a four and a half year old arc so harshly. Not only did they not have anywhere near the same tools they have now, they had a lot more things to get done and written before deadline.
The arcs you're so pissed about were put out with the 40-50 hero content, in the second Issue (I think it's second).
Reasonable people have a sense of perspective though, and take it with a grain of salt. Sorry you weren't able to.
And as GG stated earlier, due to some of the retcon in GR, we'll probably see some changes to those arcs when GR launches or soon thereafter. -

Actually, I wanted to add that, after this morning's horse cartoon, I officially rescind my OP. If you don't know what I'm talking about, that's a good thing.

I've seen worse

It's true. Even in Tabula Rasa (rest its soul), your character, a human turned military draftee, had to kill pigs for one of your quests, as opposed to doing something more militaristic like going on patrol. Also, your guild equivalent in TR wasn't called anything militaristic like a platoon or a company - it was called a clan, just like every other FPS game on the market. There was a game so stuck in clichéd trends that it ended up pleasing no one for most of its existence. I felt sorry CuppaJo got saddled with the deservedly negative feedback from that community.

Who is this strange masked mastermind that walks among us? Is he one of us, or someone else?

Although I'm not sure why your brother's card won't work, there is a fraud prevention mechanism that limits one subscription per credit card - anything past that will make the "fraud suspicion" notice pop up.
In the meantime, you could always look into a game time card, which might be available at your local Best Buy or convenience store.
Does anyone know if PayPal can be used to purchase sub time? If so, that may also be an alternative, although PayPal may only be for purchasing in-game perks. -
I also agree with the sentiment. If city maps looked more like the map on the police scanner, with APBs popping up in different zones for Troll raids, GM alerts, etc., it would be more informative, and just plain cool
You could also do the same for the CoV map, for flier patrols, Deathsurge, etc.
