Quote:With the Endurance cost as it is, I might as well use it for 30 secsThe jump pack doesn't really make you get from place to place that much faster. But tell you what - if you could ninja-run for 30 seconds and then have to wait for the run to rechage for 5 minutes, then I wouldn't be complaining.
As it is, if I need to get somewhere across town, I can just use the Pocket D teleporter I purchased with GvE alsoThat's two non-cosmetic powers in one pack

Quote:What, like the Jump Pack? That's exactly what I'm saying. That ability really shouldn't be something you can get by paying $10 more. I'm happy with booster packs as long as they're cosmetic only, but I really start to worry when they put in quasi-travel-powers.
Edit: Bah, Primal beat me to it -

Quote:What's next? More slippery slope arguments, I'm sureYeah but now I can no longer be the fastest without a travel power unless I buy this booster pack.
What's next?
If you want to check out real nickel & diming, head over to that other super hero MMO
Back on topic: Kind of on the fence for this pack, since I don't roll too many Natural characters... but this could revitalize the one I do have... and that run power looks freakin' sweet... oof, tough decision -
Weird... I remember a while back when Citadel had this issue (or Bastion as he was called back then). Odd for it to crop up yet again...

With all due respect, there's already a "Beta Tester" global channel on Test. Isn't making another global channel a little redundant and confusing? I know it was for me, during the Halloween event test.

Gotta do a shot for Macron tonight - he would have wanted it that way!

Ditto. I served but never got deployed anywhere. Want to thank all of those who served, especially in wartime and also more recently in the Mideast, including my younger brother, who will hopefully be back in time for the New Year.
We should also remember those at Ft. Hood who died or were injured. No matter how tragic it was, those that perished died in service to their country.

Or to weasel out of a PvP defeat

If a flintlock is out odf the question because it has issues delivering multiple ammunitions or rate of fire, add more barrels
This example has three barrels, each with its own powder pan. In RL one would have to rotate the barrels manually, but we can pretendIt's just a jumping-off point.

Although I stated in another thread on my support for vet costumes to be made earnable in-game through Invention recipe drops and such, I have no desire to allow accounts to buy in, even if they originally sub'd long ago. Vet rewards are to reward constant subscribers, not those players who deactivate subscriptions to spend sub money elsewhere for a time. The system was designed to reward loyal subscribers, not fair-weather fans.
As for the vet costumes - IMPO, earnable in-game as rare recipes? Yes. (Vets can still use them without finding or purchasing recipes and salvage per character, which is still rewarding). Purchasable by fair-weather fans who have the most disposable income? No. -
Hey, you should be a Cuppa Incarnate anyhow
Shame they removed that title with the new forums.

8 seconds.
Now, I've never been in the military (unless you count JROTC), and I've never used a grenade, but I sure as hell don't think I'd want to hold on to the thing for 8seconds.However, as long as you're holding down the spoon, it doesn't matter. Heck, you could even put the pin back in with no repercussions

Quote:/Signed!Two more alternate animations, should this be a customizable power:
*) Character tosses a round, black, bowling-ball-like object (preferably with hissing fuse). Would fit with a cartoony feel, or (WWI-era?) "anarchist" types.
*) Character throws what looks like several sticks of dynamite tied together. -
Will probably have to bow out after all. Wife wants to get out of the house, and I can hardly blame her

My Warshade is named Alaestor. It's a name I used in DAoC but around which I adapted his backstory. He goes by the name of his first human host.

Not walk so much as the mapserver issues the aptch introduced. That and putting players of Shield characters into epileptic seizures.

First off, this is not a "going away" thread, so relax.
Actually, this thread is to commemorate my 10,000th post
However, I wouldn't have 10,000 posts if it weren't for Triumph, the server that has been my virtual home away from home for these past 5½ years. Through the ups and downs I've stuck with Triumph due to the cool people I've met throughout my time here. Plus it's where my SG base is at
I'd especially like to thank my coalition mates to include Steel Paladins, GHOST Squad, Shadow-Force (formerly Birds of Prey), Heads of Cerberus, HoJL, and anyone else I might have absent-mindedly forgotten.
Thanks for being cool everyone, and more importantly, for putting up with me -
I'd support all this stuff. The coloring is technically possible, although it would take Jay some work to do. The capes, I fully support, although I'm not sure if the current character budget would allow it (in the same vein as loincloths and having more two or more capes on a player character).
Edit: wow, that's my 9,999th post -
I'll bite:
Since my one thing I would want to see improved has been currently shot out of the water (bases), I'll go for an in-game mailing system - mailing items to other characters, within reason (perhaps alignment based, for example, especially if the markets are still to be seperate).
