If there is indeed something to be fixed (which is still questionable AFAICT), a PM to a Community Rep such as Niviene or TheOcho would be sufficient.

Has anyone been able to replicate this yet? I haven't. All that has happened to me is that I either see my account page, or I get an error message (probably because tons of people are hammering the F5 key).
Until I see pics or whatnot, this is just F.U.D. Even Massively.com admits it's still a rumor. -
LOL, looking to change my password at plaync.com, I got this message:
Quote:Quality database administration, to be sure500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, you@example.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Edit: now it's working, thank goodness. -

Sam,
"Gas Operated" and "Blowback operated" are basically the same thing. When the trigger of a gun is pulled, the bolt or hammer sends the firing pin into the blasting cap of the cartridge (bullet), igniting the powder inside of the cartridge and sending the bullet off. The kinetic energy from the explosion also sends the bolt or hammer back, re-cocking the gun and readying the gun for the next shot. In fact, semi-automatic pistols aren't far removed from submachine guns or machine guns.
You can find more info on gun recoil systems here. -
I'm up for more options. Let the base designers decide if they would rather have aesthetics or utility (ie: switching easily between coalie bases). So color me /signed. Also, would be nice to have different base portal options for the base interior as well (ie: baisc doors, vault door, hidden bookcase door, manhole, etc.).

If you can play CoH now, you'll probably be able to play it with GR, since Ultra Mode is completely optional, and because the minimum system specs won't be changing much, as far as what's been reported and posted from Hero Con by attendees and devs alike.

Just got back from IL and my mother's satellite connection and have been catching up on the last week. Very nice work D_R, I LOL'd

I vote for a rename: "12 Days of CoHmas"

Quote:Frak that noise. Shove it, whiners!Alright, over the last couple weeks there have been a few peeps complaining in TW about the lack of well "everything" on Triumph. While I find this ridiculous cause all I see is pug TF/Mother raids happening. Today though, it hit a new level....saying we need a new name for the server!!
Yes a couple of people think we need to bring this server up to the level of other servers for various reasons(although we are an awesome server). The want us to drop the nickname of "The Pantless Server". Feeling it puts a bad light on our server and changing the name will bring in more people for...really I don't/can't remember.
Now after this, I want to know what your forum goers think also. I know I push the pantless server moniker to other parts of the forums like many others and we pimp out the server when we can. Frankly I am in full support to keep the name "Pantless" cause it is fun and shows that we have a great sense of humor.
So your opinion on this? -
Quote:Actually, the biggest difference, besides price, is impact. Print media is dying; therefor, ads will of course be less expensive but will also reach fewer people. Are you going to donate some scratch towards the TV commercial then? There's a big difference between general advertising and a full-blown TV commercial, and that difference is measured in money.
One TV ad versus a whole bevy of print/online ads.
That said, I wouldn't mind seeing some more exposure for the game, but then, as was said, Going Rogue will do that.
But considering I haven't seen much advertisement on any print media, web site, or television show I normally watch, I would say that anything would be better than what we currently have, which is only the occasional blurb or cameo on a random TV show, AFAICT. -
Quote:I always thought that it was good up to the lowest level of the set. In this case, since the set is from level 10-50, isn't any level of this Enhancement as good as any other?Actually, for IOs that give a global effect, with no Enhancement of the power they're slotted in, 50 is the worst level, because they can't be slotted until 47, and they stop working if you exemplar below 47. The lower the level the better for this type of enhancement; in this case, level 10 is the best.

The only reason I could see is for PvP.

In addition, many Crab players tend to downplay the melee attacks altogether. The main reason is because the ranged and targeted AoE attacks work just as well in melee as they do at range, but have more versatility. When you get your pets in later levels, they'll help out a lot too at range, adding to DPS. But overall, the targeted AEO attacks will give you more bang for the buck since they damage/ debuff multiple targets simultaneously.
Especially if you want to run both the Boxing and Fitness sets, you'll need to be really tight with your power selections, so your melee attacks will probably be the first on the chopping block. -
Quote:<QR>Its starting all over again. Spamming Atlas with samurai farms. Please Devs can you cut XP or Tickets in half again. Seems that farmers can't learn from the past. They are spamming request and broadcast, as if they are too stupid to know that there AE channels.
I vote we have to PAY inf to use AE after all it is in game a company that provides a service. If I go to the local arcade I have to pay to play video games why not AE?

Weird... I'm not feeling the "love" in this thread -
They're too busy wrangling the devs to make sure loyal players don't get information except when the Marketing Dept. says so. Obviously, the dev wrangling is a hard job and requires most of their waking hours

On the new forums, it's been made impossible to do by users in order to make moderation evasion harder. The only people who can change your handle are the community reps and moderators.

As a guy who's seen both sides of the industry, subscribe to whichever one gives you the most value. Whichever provider gives you the best bandwidth cap for the price (and an other services, like TV or phone), take it. Both technologies are pretty similar these days. Of course, line quality will factor in, but it's pretty hard to determine line quality without special equipment, so you won't know if you have a degraded line until you subscribe anyhow. But in either case, they'll fix any line issue to keep you as a customer. -
-
<Kind of odd to have an informal poll regarding what could be a determination of bandwidth requirements for the game's near future, during a time of year when less people than normal are likely to read the forums and respond if applicable - I would think the results would be even more skewed than normal, perhaps purposefully?>

The first thing I would try would be to update your graphic and sound drivers. The computer may be newer but the drivers are about 6 months old.
For your ATI card, you can pick up their latest Catalyst drivers and suite here.
For your sound drivers, visit hp.com and cross-reference with your computer model in the Support & Drivers section. Look for any Realtek drivers and download & install them.
If that doesn't work, we can go from there.
Also, if you can post a HijackThis! report, we can look at installed software. -
No snow here in SoCal, but id we did have snow anywhere but the mountains, I suspect the local populace would collectively crap their pants (if what they do when it rains is any indication). When I go visit IL later this week, there should be plenty of snow there

Please read this post and include the suggested reports so we can see not only what in your computer, but also what's installed.
Edit: there are many players using Win7 for CoH, so the problem being solely the OS is highly unlikely. -
