Quote:At this rate of hemorrhage, I'm expecting the game to hit a negative number of subscribers any month now. We've been hemorrhaging badly for years. At the rate we keep hemorrhaging players, by 2014 everyone on Earth will have quit City of Heroes in disgust at least once.
Don't ask me how; it's just the way the math works with the current number of subs minus the increasing amount of "hemorrhaging". I'm sure you'll come to the same conclusion once you crunch the numbers as well Arcanaville -
I'd recommend Chrome, but no 3rd party plugin support yet.

Dear Rikti Mods,
If you allow me to assume the role as a new Rikti Deity, I might let you live.

Good freshman work there. Still a lot of potential, but off to a great start

Quote:Indeed. You might be able to play CoH on the lowest graphic settings, but anything else would be pushing it, especially since it's probably sharing memory with the rest of the computer, and that Intel chips are normally used for only basic computing (and maybe the Aero interface if you're lucky).Well, adding a video card to a laptop is not an easy or cheap process - I believe most or all are built onto the motherboard before assembly, as there aren't the expansion slots as in a desktop.
You might try cranking all the settings down, and turning off various effects. If it runs okay, then start boosting stuff a bit until it starts flaking out on you, then back off a bit.
You also might set your game resolution lower - 1024x768 or something - and see what that does. It should make for less video load and may help, too. I know on my older laptop, I have a vid card with lower memory, and I have to run at 1024x768.
Some of the other folks here may have more and better suggestions...I don't keep up with this stuff like I used to, but I do play on a laptop, so the above might work for you.
Lamentably, caveat emptor. -
IMO? Natural (Ninja) Pack. I've hardly ever used the body sculpting feature myself, but have a few characters that get a lot of mileage (literally) from Ninja Sprint.

I'll get the Better Business Bureau on line two for you sir.

Quote:Indeed, as well as the standard entrances/ exits to Pocket D.This... has kind of been annoying me lately...
The Pocket D VIP Pass is incredibly convenient, yes. But it doesn't allow you to select which instance of Pocket D you wish to go to.
If at all possible, could we please add instance selectors to all Teleporter Powers? Or at least a way to switch between zone instances directly?

Quote:When I see actual video or photographic evidence of this actually occurring, then I might believe it. Until then, it's unquantified F.U.D.It's nice to see that yet another person doesn't understand the NCSoft security problem. What's been happening is that you log in to the NCSoft Master Account site with your own username and password, and the server gives you access to somebody else's account. Having one of these keyfobs wouldn't change a thing.

Quote:Must agree. What would be the point of half the MS raids if people could just plunk down Inf instead? What would be the point of running the appropriate Croatoa arc (either at level or through Ouroboros) if one could just purchase War Wolves through Inf?/unsigned
If they'll be selling pets, I'd rather it be some more-tame pets: Outcast Leads, Bone Daddies, Damneds, Malta Gunslingers, Carnival Mistresses, Sky Raider Jump Bots, Boomers, etc.
Small-time criminal gangs who wouldn't be above renting themselves out to the highest bidder. Yes, some of them are higher-ups, but mercenaries nonetheless. Nothing like HVAS, or things that are already available for other means of currency.
Purchasable pets? Maybe, but it would have to be something more generic, like Longbow Flamethrowers or Arachnos Crab Spiders and the like. -
Oh heck... this is a text fight, isn't it? I've been duped.
THIS THREAD NEVER HAPPENED! -
Quote:/e yadayadaTriumph is the only server other than Virtue that I have filled up all my slots in. All of the characters have names similar to "skdgsojhgs". I use it mainly to test up powersets that I haven't seen before.
Of all the servers Triumph is definitely the most rubbish. -
I think you just killed my eyes with that pic

One of my friends picked a fob up for free at Blizzcon. And yes, it is extremely hard on not only gold farmers, but also power-leveling companies that require account credentials.
Sure, it's only a game, but when 5 years of enjoyment are suddenly vaporized by an account hack (such as due to a keylogger, Trojan, or even a disgruntled friend), that fob could have been worth it, to say the least. -

Quote:I think the official rule on Triumph is that all drama on the server must be in regards to Triumph Watch. We usually have a quarterly thread on the subject, so it's just a matter of time I suspect. As a member of Triumph since day 1, even though Virtue been my more constant home of late(last 3yrs)
I will say this, GOOD LUCK.
Ya'll don't know drama. Triumph is quite, will gladly roll with the jabs & for most part is a bear that can be poked quite a bit with a stick, but you chuck that hornets nest on that thar bear, You'll not know what to do!
I've seen Triumph Drama, Ive seen it on the boards, Ive seen in the game(most drama is usually kept there)
They got virtue beat,
JJ
Not exactly RP, but it will fulfill a drama quota to be sure. -
Exactly. The only license-specific content are the in-game items and whatever is specific to Going Rogue when it is released (such as the Praetoria zone and perhaps more things TBA soon™), since it will be an optional add-on.
-
Pick up the AE. CoH & CoV are now the same license, so you can play from lvl 1 - 50 on either red or blue side with the AE disk/ key.
Enjoy!
Edit: You can still get the GvE key to pick up the in-game perks with that edition as well. In fact, you can do that with any version for which you want the associated in-game perks (once per version per game account). Considering that each key also includes one month of subscription time, it's not a bad deal. -

I'm glad Karl's been honing his text textfighting skills. We may be in need of them soon
