A lot of teams won't like that, but to each his own. If you like it, play it!
I guess that Teleport thing is just chopped liver then

Although the OP isn't picking it up until lvl 28, which is certainly not good. I'd pick up TP at lvl 14, as soon as it's available. It will make your before in Granite much easier. Easier to get around, easier to find a team (they won't have to wait around for you), etc.

Edit: I also personally wouldn't pick up Mud Pots until you have Stamina. Combined with any normal attack chain, I find Mud Pots too taxing on Endurance without Stamina first.

I find it sad yall gave us a specific date in July for release, then you pushed the date back and out comes this booster which isn't really all that impressive. GET TO WORK ON GR SO WE CAN GET IT.
Video games are serious business, people! GET THOSE TPS REPORTS IN NOW!
  3. Not sure if I'll be able to attend Friday night (due to a birthday party during ComicCon), but my wife and I RSVP all the same!

And I'm glad the panel is at a more casual time slot this year, and less likely to conflict with my schedule

Personally, I love that a dog/wolf/fox tail option is being added... but don't like that the tail will be part of the Mutant Booster pack. It should really be part of the free portion of Issue 19, IMPO. But I guess they'll just figure that having it in there will sell even more copies of the booster
  5. I would pay just to see Robo_Knight complain about another micro-transaction - call it schrudenfrued. But the costume slots would be nice too.
  6. Either the Alpha or Omega set AFAIK. Some characters on Test have them unlocked, some don't. I believe they're part of GR: The Complete Collection.

Not to mention that the less reason games give players to backpedal, the better. I HATE the look of that kind of movement, especially running! I mean seriously!

And again - melee just looks TERRIBLE in perpetual motion. Even anime, which is known for its weird fighting styles, tends to avoid that.
Wow, I've never thought about it, but that's a valid point. I like what the animators did with Ninja Run and Walk, whereas when you move backwards, your character turns 180 degrees and moves backwards at speed. Backpeddling is one of those MMO throwbacks that never looked right, but everyone got used to. It's even more silly backpeddling at Sprint and Super Speed paces.
  8. It's like you stepped into some weird version of the game. Was this on Live?
  9. Subjective: Must agree with others that we need Monstrous version of these parts: Hands, Feet, Tail, and Heads. It's been a long time since we've seen any noteworthy additions to any of these categories, and I was hoping the the Mutation pack would have some new parts for these pieces. I know it might be some work, but it would be very beneficial to create & add these pieces to the set, IMPO.

As for the other costume bits... great work Jay I can easily see myself using these on a few characters, including my main
  10. Did Avatea take this picture on Live, or is that some sort of new random NPC in the screenshot with her?

I could point out how incorrect or flawed this statement is, but I'm feeling lazy today, so I'll just say, "Your face is /unsigned."

    That's all I got.
  12. Well, that's a valid opinion, but at the same time, it would certainly increase the alacrity of PvP and PvE combat if players could move and attack. Agreed, animations would need to be spot-on regardless of whatever system is used. For example, I would expect a charging sword slash to look different from a standing slash. It could certainly be done with either system, given the right coding and animation states.

I would not say that the system itself is at fault, so much as the animators that use that system taking shortcuts that end up creating weaker-looking animations, which leads to a poorer player experience.

    1. Fighting on the move mechanics - Not sure how impossible this would be but the ability to fight and move i have come to see is a real deciding factor for some, if the move roots them in place no matter how amazing the power is, people will overlook it.
Lamentably, according to BAB when I asked him about this subject at HeroCon '08 in regards to PvP, the current engine cannot support different animations for both upper and lower torso simultaneously (unlike the newer engine used in CO and STO). This means that, in order to blast and run simultaneously (as an example), the engine would have to be re-written, as well as almost every character animation in the game. Suffice to say that it would be even more work than power customization, which took all of about five years to add to the game. Unfortunately, you probably wouldn't see something like this until CoH2, if you get what I mean :/

My wish list item? Besides more back items (backpacks, permanent jetpack costume pieces, quivers, etc.), I'd like to see more chat bubble customization, especially border style (dripping, electric, warbled, etc) and font style.
  14. Yep, and a lot of "ifs" too. Still, it's a chance.

Good point. The event is triggered when someone turns in a full set of salvage, so you might be able to get it if you can do that and get a full team or two together at the raid point.
  16. In a word? No. Wish I had better news for ya :/

    AVG vs CoH

Weird, my wife uses Windows Defender and I use Windows Security Essentials, and never had a problem with running CoH. Weird how different computer builds end up being so diverse.

    Add a mini-game

Make a mini game out of the pinball machines in Pocket D. It's a suggestion that's come up before, and one I endorse.
  20. <<< Watched Avatar in IMAX 3D. Can't watch it any other way now :/
<<< Is anticipating Tron Legacy in IMAX 3D. Won't watch it any other way.

Some people don't like 3D at all. They don't like it or it makes their heads hurt watching it. To those people, I'll buy your tickets

Some people don't think every movie should be in 3D. I'm one of them. Wouldn't waste my money watching Shrek in 3D after all, especially at $20 a pop.

So no, I don't think every movie should be in 3D. It's a device that lends itself more towards action movies - or movies that just use it as a gimmick (I'm looking at you, Step It Up 3D). Used right, it can be another great movie tool IMPO. Overused, it just becomes another meme, like autotune or the Dancing Baby.

Good luck with that. Player budgets (processor assets per player model), cape systems, technical limits, cape physic limits, etc. Not that I don't feel ya, it's just some of the things the animators will say to shoot down your suggestion Pew pew.
