The "Toxic Avenger" back option.
I think this backpack was made available for a short time through a bug, but it's still a missing costume option. -

Frak, I take a vacation from Triumph and THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS?!?

Also, congrats on CoH's first zombie server -
Well, what about the 'ole Google Autocomplete meme?

EDIT: Though just the other day I was considering creating a villain named "Movable Type". Clearly all this new-fangled technology has to be evil, right? -
I used to use the /tell sound as my text message alert, but it was harder to hear in loud environments. But there are several sound effects in the fansite kits here.

Quote:I appreciate sarcasmUnfortunately.
I especially appreciated the absolute zero response from David (or any other member of the dev team, for that matter), either in-thread or via PM, about the collective qualms over its inclusion.
... or am I just being sarcastic?
Heh, reminds me of including the inclusion of the "Super Tailor" feature in the Superscience booster - a feature many felt should just be part of the game. Guess how much traction that notion took with the devs?
It's really clever actually... if a player doesn't like anything else in the pack, it proves that they'll pay $10 just for a wolf tail (a piece completely unrelated to the other items in the pack in the opinion of many).
... And if that's true, how much are they willing to pay for other one-off pieces?
But hey, as long as it earns the studio extra money, they'll keep making boosters, including boosters with a gimmick or two attachedI'm not necessarily saying that's good nor bad, it's just they way add-ons work.

Sooner had to wait until (slightly) later

Browser based? I agree with IGN, sort of a mixed bag announcement.

Quote:No patch notes, which has lamentably become par as of late - stating that patch notes will be posted directly after the update, and not doing so. Although though to be fair, they stated that the notes would "be available after this downtime", which strictly speaking means they'd have from 10:30am this morning until infinity to post the notes and they'd be true to their wordValid question regarding updates.. they haven't posted the patch notes yet, have they? Or was this just for the mutant pack?
I wish, that would be epic. I found this one on teh interwebz. I might have to draw Typing Hulk myself though. -
I'll just buy the damned thing.
Sitting around all afternoon fervently refreshing Twitter, FB, and the CoH forums isn't my idea of fun. Add to that that my chances of actually inserting the code (because I failed to also refresh my PlayNC session before it timed out) are minimal, especially since I do have to work during the day.
Bah, this type of contest is the only legacy from Ex Libris that I didn't much care for. Especially with Twitter and the recent frequency of the 'ole Fail Whale. -
Will probably avoid WW and BM for a week or two after GR (unless I must) just to wait for the economy to settle. Once the two economies co-mingle, it should be business as usual. Seems like all the TF merit rewards and drops were evened out issues ago, so I don't see one faction being any better at marketing than the other. In the long term, due to red side's smaller population, it could actually benefit them more.

I got into the Going Rouge beta, but the lip gloss and the mascara didn't quite look so well on me. It's hard to apply that stuff with a five o'clock shadow anyhow.

I'm an idiot. Yes, I guess that makes perfect sense, doesn't it?

Going to take some time to stop thinking in binary terms. -
New question: will Rogues and Vigilantes be able to use either market due to this change?

Quote:I think this works in an RP sense too, given the right mindset. With some heroes and villains developing flexible morals, it would be natural to have item launderers and market coyotes. As far as Influence and Infamy go, it might only take one great heroic or villainous act for people to change their minds about a super.WOW.
TY devs for putting the interests of the game ahead of RP ideology.
The great thing about RP is that, used correctly, it can be used to justify anything -
Information... probably the Praetorian equivalent of Influence and Infamy.

I think hell jest froze over... in a good way
